MICHAEL
FARADAY
ENGLISH SCIENTIST WHO CONTRIBUTED TO THE STUDY OF
ELECTROMAGNETISM AND ELECTROCHEMISTRY
by Beam 27 and Baimon 33
WHO IS
MICHAEL FARADAY
Michael Faraday was born on September
22, 1791 in Newington Surrey England,
into a poor family. He was the third child
out of 10. And he was died on 25 August
1867 (75 years old) hampton court england.
MICHAEL FARADAY
EARLY LIFE
" When he was 14, he was apprenticed to a local bookbinder and during the next seven years, Faraday read many books
including Isaac Watts's "The Improvement of the Mind" this book made he implemented the principles and suggestions
contained therein especially in electricity. "
& 1821
1831
In 1821 he published his work on electromagnetic rotation
(the principle behind the electric motor).
-
In 1831, Faraday discovered electromagnetic induction,
the principle behind the electric transformer and
generator. This discovery was crucial in allowing
electricity to be transformed from a curiosity into a
powerful new technology. During the remainder of the
decade he worked on developing his ideas about
electricity. He was partly responsible for coining many
familiar words including 'electrode', 'cathode' and 'ion'.
Faraday's scientific knowledge was harnessed for practical
use.
MICHAEL FARADAY
LATER LIFE
in the early 1840s, Faraday's health began to
deteriorate and he did less research. He died on
25 August 1867 at Hampton Court, where he had
been given official lodgings in recognition of his
contribution to science. He gave his name to the
'farad', originally describing a unit of electrical
charge but later a unit of electrical capacitance.

TIMELINE OF
FARADAY'S INVENTION
In 1821 invented the electric motor.
In 1823 discovered a method of cooling and
invented stainless steel or stainless steel.
In 1825 discovered benzene
In 1831 discovered electromagnetic induction
to invent a generator or dynamo.
In 1834 invented the law of electrolysis.
In 1836 the Faraday cage was discovered and invented.
In 1845 Diamagneti was discovered.
EFFECT ON
PEOPLE'S LIVES
Invented the first generator was the
Dynamo as the prototype of the current
generator. This has led to the advancement
and utilization of electricity such as high-
speed trains, headphones, speakers.
