General Cubicle Rules

• The DOC M Building Regulations clearly states - Paragraph 5.14 - WC compartments within separate sex washrooms will satisfy Requirement M1 or M3 If a: if the swing of any Inward opening doors to standard
WC compartments is such that a 450mm diameter manoeuvring space is maintained between the swing of the door, the WC pan and the side wall of the compartment. If this space is not available please, either
confirm that the customer is happy for us to continue or advise of any layout changes (i.e. doors open out or cubicle depth change).

• Check WC pan projection - door width to be taken into account as comment above - if door swing is too close to the pan pilaster or partition sizes should be adjusted
• Disabled cubicle width 1500mm clear from wall to inside face of partition
• Disabled cubicle depth 2200mm clear from wall to inside face of pilaster
• Ambulant cubicle width min 800mm clear
• Ambulant cubicle should have 750mm activity space from WC pan to rear face of pilaster
• Enlarged cubicle width min1200mm clear
• Doors should be outward opening for Ambulant and Disabled WC’s.
