EXECUTIVE SUMMARY An internship is a platform for all university students to gain experience in a real workplace. Internships are a great opportunity for students to learn, gain experience, and prepare for the challenging world of work. The reason is that real-life situations bring different types of experiences. We will face many difficulties and obstacles, and with the experience, students will be able to cope with them very well and encourage themselves to complete the whole process perfectly. Through this experience, students will develop a better understanding of the real work environment. This training is a part of the learning process. For this reason, the internship that improves a student's knowledge and experience must be documented in the form of a report. Through this report, the experience gained can be shared with peers. I have completed my industrial training at my current company that I have been working for which is PEDi Kampung Tualang Sekah under MSD Digital Sdn Bhd. I have started working at PEDi since 2021 until now. PEDi's role is that of a one-stop center, providing collective Internet access to the community and to areas without broadband coverage. Local people participate in various courses and training in ICT, as well as programs to improve e-business skills and activities to promote digital creation, dissemination, and mastery of digital knowledge. Increase community awareness and engagement to improve the socioeconomic status and strengthen the human capital of rural communities and the urban poor. Guide and train micro-entrepreneurs using digital technologies to intensify the digitization of enterprises towards innovative and competitive digitalization. PEDi's focus is on generating income and supporting the economy through e-commerce through strategic collaboration with various government and private entities. Thus, emphasizing digital transformation becomes PEDi's main agenda to ensure that rural. The SWOT analysis section of the report contains the main conclusions about the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This component helps to understand why the analysis should be relevant. Throughout industry training, students can complete and strengthen their existing ability and confidence to overcome all the challenges faced. The students also can build a positive manner with the high discipline of the employers, colleagues, and society in general. 2

TRAINING REFLECTION Responsible and Job 11 As an Assistant Manager, my major responsibility is to promote PEDi facilities in the local community to achieve maximum utilisation. Participating in regular PEDi events organised by authorised entities, by hosting a programme with the local community, such as an ICT class that teaches the fundamentals of Microsoft Office to underserved populations. In addition, entrepreneurial workshops such as Shopee and Tiktok basic workshops are available. Prepare bi-weekly reports on PEDi customers, users, money, training / workshops, and promotional / programme activities. All of these reports are saved in the CMS system, and the monthly records are immediately linked to the HR department. As needed, provide basic technical assistance for PEDi facilities and equipment, as well as conduct activities in non-PEDi sites. Specific Specialization Task Update the homepage and PEDi social media accounts, such as Facebook and Instagram, for each programme that we have completed. Creative poster design for programme marketing. As a result, I've learned a variety of new skills, including Canva and Photoshop. We are more of an entrepreneurship programme at pedi. One of the projects I conduct to help PEDi member users is a video instruction on registering a business at SSM using the Ez-biz system.
Benefits, Skill and Experience Working at pedi requires working with little supervision. However, it does not become an issue for me because every assignment assigned to me is completed transparently in order to meet the monthly KPI. With this method of working, I am able to discipline myself by always finishing work and reports on time. In addition, I've learned a variety of new abilities, including editing, communication, and teaching. Holidays and yearly incentives are among the perks I receive here. Aside from that, working in a low-stress environment is one of the advantages I consider when working here. 12
SWOT ANALYSIS STRENGTHS WEAKNESSES OPPORTUNITIES THREATS Professional and knowledgeable teams (staff that is experienced and motivated). A good reputation among the local community. There is no salary increament or benefit for the employee. The same report had to be submitted. Staff brainstorming sessions could open up new possibilities for product expansion that we haven't anticipated. Any skill that makes work easier can be added by employees. Compete with other agencies in terms of price and product. A few examples are Hub Inovasi & Multimedia - Digital Perak and Pusat Komuniti Desa. A PEDi lacks exposure to the surrounding community. 13
DISCUSSION AND RECOMMENDATION Experienced and motivated teams (staff that are professional and knowledgeable). Good reputation among the local community. It is an evaluation of the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that exist within and outside of the organization. As a result, it is done to accomplish well and solve recent problems. The internal factors of the organization are its strengths and weaknesses. Opportunities and threats are external factors that affect the organization. For PEDi Kampung Tualang Sekah to perform better in the present and long term, its strengths need to be increased, its weaknesses need to be decreased, opportunities need to be created, and threats need to be decreased. STRENGTHS OF PEDi Every organisation has certain strengths to help manage this corporation more efficiently. Strength refers to qualities that aid in the achievement of any goals. PEDi, like any other organisation, has several strengths, which are highlighted below: During my internship, a large number of individuals came to PEDi for various services. Every employee provides superior and varied service to a wide range of customers. That implies that everyone has some competence in each industry. Acceptance and exposure among the locals are also quite positive. Every programme that the PEDi organises is well received by the locals as well as those beyond the PEDi region. 14
15 No salary increase and benefit for employees. We had to submit the same report. We have an opportunity to put in place staff brainstorming sessions that we believe could open up new possibilities for product expansion that we haven’t foreseen yet. Employees can add any skill that can help to make work easier. WEAKNESS OF PEDi Every organisation has various flaws that make it difficult to manage the firm efficiently. So the organisation must identify and address these issues as soon as feasible. Weaknesses are characteristics that make it difficult to achieve any goals. PEDi, like other organisations, has various weaknesses, which are listed below: We are here on contract. Contract appointees do not have the same benefits as permanent appointees and pensions, but we do get benefits in the form of allowances, welfare, and guarantees. Because PEDi is managed by three different organizations. Every weekly report must be updated for three separate organisations. Every month, there is recurring work. OPPORTUNITIES OF PEDi Every organisation has various chances that can help them operate their business more efficiently. An opportunity is defined as external conditions that aid in the achievement of any organization's goals. It might be both beneficial and bad in nature. PEDi, like other organisations, has several possibilities, which are listed below: This type of opportunity is still available. PEDi has many older and more experienced employees who have been working for a long time. Their knowledge of handling problems & other issues is better. As a result of dealing with various problems over this long period, they become experienced. Youngbloods are also better at solving problems of any kind.
16 Compete with other agencies in terms of products and prices. For example, Hub Inovasi & Multimedia - Digital Perak and Pusat Komuniti Desa. A PEDi lacks exposure to the surrounding community. Their management will easily & effectively solve any problem if they combine young & experienced people. I learned a lot of new things while working at PEDi. Canva and Photoshop are two examples. Aside from that, the ability to communicate effectively and improve self-confidence to speak up. THREATS OF PEDi A threat refers to external situations that are detrimental to the achievement of any organization's goals. It could be negative in nature. Consider that as a flaw. PEDi, like other organisations, faces several threats, which are detailed here: I discovered that there are organisations around that provide the same products and services as PEDi. PEDi, on the other hand, may still be differentiated since we provide a more appealing programme with a lower participation charge. Despite PEDi's strong image in the community, we nevertheless have challenges in advertising our products and services. It does not, however, damper our enthusiasm because several online pages support and collaborate to promote our programmes and services. RECOMMENDATIONS Efficient management of a company can be achieved by implementing tasks assigned to employees. However, it is crucial to provide clear and precise descriptions of each employee's assigned responsibilities and deadlines. Failing to do so can lead to complications that may negatively impact the work quality. It is crucial for top-level company management to conduct regular and thorough monitoring. This enables workers who may be facing issues to communicate directly with the authorities. By doing so, management can address any grievances and complaints from employees.
17 It is important to have a systematic and efficient management system in place at the highest level of management to prevent any difficulties that could ultimately impact production. Based on my experience, I am pleased to say that the staff members are very friendly to one another. They remain professional and provide me with a lot of assistance as an employee. This has made it easy for me to interact with the company and its environment
CONCLUSION The creation of PEDi has the potential to support and strengthen small businesses in the realm of innovative and competitive digital solutions, ultimately improving the socioeconomic status of individuals. In addition to that, PEDi provides support to businesses by offering basic computer, multimedia, and information and communication technology (ICT) training. This includes guidance on how to take pictures for social media marketing. The popularity of PEDi has declined as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and people are now placing greater emphasis on the digital economy industry. I hope that our community can utilize PEDi to its fullest potential so that it can continue to serve and benefit more communities through the government's efforts. Additionally, we have upgraded the computers at PEDi with new equipment and software. In a nutshell, this internship has been an excellent and rewarding experience. I can conclude that there has been a lot I’ve learned from my work at PEDi. Needless to say, the technical aspects of the work I’ve done are not flawless and could be improved provided enough time. Two main things that I’ve learned are the importance of time-management skills and self-motivation. 18
