Kenai Fjords National Park is home to abundant wildlife and massive tidewater
glaciers. Surrounded by steep mountain walls, the Kenai Fjords provide the perfect
habitat for whales, Steller sea lions, sea otters, mountain goats, bald eagles, and
a vast number of seabirds. In addition to resident pods of orcas, migrating whales
are also a common sight. Be on the lookout for humpback, gray, minke, and fin
whales.

8.5 HOUR NORTHWESTERN FJORD CRUISE

Our 8.5 hour Northwestern Fjord Cruise travels farther into Kenai Fjords National Park than
any other cruise. Ideal for photographers, birders, and whale-watching enthusiasts, this
small-vessel adventure cruise explores the remote, untouched area of Northwestern Fjord.
The Viewfinder is our smallest vessel and gives you the opportunity for up-close views of
wildlife and glaciers on its wrap-around deck. The 8.5 hours on the water will fly by as the
captain seeks out the best wildlife viewing opportunities in the area. You will spend time in
front of the massive Northwestern Glacier and visit Anchor Glacier and Ojive Glacier, all active

Our 6 hour cruise explores the world of whales, wildlife, and glaciers found in Kenai Fjords
National Park. The Spirit of Adventure and Kenai Fjords 360 are two of our fastest catamarans,
allowing you to experience as much scenery, glaciers, and wildlife as possible within six hours.
Providing a full narration to your journey, a uniformed National Park Ranger will point out the
many spectacular sights and give information on the area’s ecology, history, and
geology. You will stop at the mighty Holgate Glacier and watch for calving, where giant chunks

Our 5 Hour Kenai Fjords Wildlife Cruise explores the protected waters and rugged coastline of

GRAY WHALE WATCHING CRUISE

Gray whales migrate over 5,000 miles from Baja to the Bering and Chukchi Seas each year in
search of food. These whales begin migrating north in late February and arrive in Alaskan
waters in the spring, spending the summer feeding in shallow Arctic waters before migrating

From mid-May through mid-June, orca whales frequent the waters outside of Seward in

Prince William Sound is known for its calm waters and dense concentration of
glaciers and waterfalls. The rugged coastline is comprised of islands and fjords,
many of which contain actively calving tidewater glaciers. Some of the most active
glaciers in the area are visited on our cruises, including Blackstone Glacier, Beloit
Glacier, and Surprise Glacier.
Wildlife including humpback whales, sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, harbor seals,
Steller sea lions, bald eagles, and many species of seabirds can be seen in this
area. The calm, glassy waters of Prince William Sound make this area ideal for

SURPRISE GLACIER CRUISE

This 5.25 hour catamaran cruise takes you to some of the most beautiful areas in Prince
William Sound and provides the best opportunity for both wildlife and glacier viewing in the
area. As you cruise towards the spectacular Surprise Glacier in Harriman Fjord you may see
wildlife such as sea otters, Dall’s porpoises, and harbor seals. The catamaran will travel to the
end of Harriman Fjord and stop in front of Surprise Glacier to give you up-close views of an
active tidewater glacier. Next, cruise through Esther Passage, a scenic narrow waterway
surrounded by mountains. On your way back to Whittier you will stop at a working salmon
hatchery and the second largest kittiwake rookery in Prince William Sound.

and the Alaska Railroad Depot. Harbor 360 Hotel is also the closest hotel to the cruise ship
terminal.
