Important Moments in J acob
Gutierrez’s Life

I was 4 years old and I was living in
an small apartment.It was my first
day of pre-k. On that day I made my
first friend. My mom also made her
first friend, Martha. Since my mom
didn’t know anybody else she
asked Martha to take me to
school.On my way over there,
Martha’s daughter also was there.
Sje was also going to pre-k, so I
immediately had a friendship with
her. Unfortunately I moved the next
year to Carson. After that I never
saw her again.

It was the last week of my summer
vacation until I went to fourth grade
.I was at Dolphin Park playing a
baseball game,but not just any
baseball game the city champion of
2013. In the first inning everybody
was nervous, but the pitcher ,
Ruben managed to strike out all
three batters. When We were up at
bat we scored 3 runs. At the top of
the second inning the other team
got a hit , but he only got to first
base. THe next batter also got a hit
but my teammate caught the ball
and got him out. WHile the runner
that was on first base was running ,
my teammate threw the ball at me
so I got him out at first base. When
wew were at bat we had a no out
rally going the pitcher might have
been tired because he was walking
a lot of batters. We got 6 runs.
Finally, the pitcher managed to get
three outs. The other team was now
at bat, the other team had one
really good hit and he managed to
get to second base.The pitcher who
is still Ruben got two outs. On the
fourth inning we got three more
hits, then they got three outs. The
umpire stopped the game on the
fourth inning, we wo 12 to 0. My
team won the city champion game.

It was a Saturday in the month of
January. It was 6 am in the morning
and my dad had woken me up.
After my eyes opened my dad told
me we were going to Big Bear. After
my siblings and I had gotten
dressed we went outside to see my
cousin’s car. They were coming to.
After a long drive were were still
driving. Outside I saw something for
the first time in my life snow. It was
so beautiful. WHen we got to Big
Bear Lake we immediately tried to
have a snowball fight. After I threw
the first throw we had to stop
because the snow was hard. THen
we went to see the lake. After an
hour we went to eat, then we went
home.

It was on or after the 4th of July My dad got a
phone call early in the morning my dad learned
that his good friend Gilburt had died, so on
Thursday his day off he went to Gilburt’s viewing.
On the drive over there he told me stories about
him.When we got to Rose Hill Chapel we had to
wait 10 minutes to go in. When we saw Gilburt my
dad got emotional. We wait for 2 hours and then
we left.

My name is Jacob. I was born in Torrance Memorial
I am small, but courageous am also really shy to
new people.
