Dear friend,
How are you? It’s been some time since we wrote to each other. I feel great and hope that you are
well too. For your information, I’m now back in school after the summer holidays.
I went to a summer camp which was held at a cattle ranch. I had the chance to experience some of
the activities carried out on ranches. One of them was being taken to see the grazing cattle. There were
hundreds of them. Some other activities we did were fishing at a nearby lake, learning how to ride a
horse, cycling on rough paths and watching a rodeo.
Most of the participants live in the city so most of us were first-timers in everything. I thought
fishing was a bit boring when you had to sit and wait. However, it felt fantastic when I caught a very
big fish! The rodeo is an annual event where people turn up to see the best cowboy-the one who can
stay on a wild bull the longest.
Nevertheless, I had a really enjoyable time there. I think it has helped me be more confident and
independent. Now, I feel I can make friends more easily compared to before I attended the camp. I am
also able to scramble eggs and make French toast for breakfast.
Please share with me what you did during your school holidays. We live in different countries so
the activities are cerainly not the same. Looking forward to hearing from you soon. Goodbye.
Your sincerely,
Brian
