We use uncountable nouns for things we cannot count. With uncountable nouns, we don’t use a, an or plural forms. Example: There’s some bread and cheese. There is some water on the table. The bolded words are countable nouns. We use countable nouns for things we can count. They can be singular or plural nouns. With countable nouns, we use a or an and plural forms. Example: I’ve got a book but she’s got two books. I have an orange.
