2020
HONOREES
Congratulations 2020 Honorees!
We wish we could have been able to properly celebrate our honorees with our annual dinner.
They deserve a grand celebration and much more for all that they have done for Torah
Academy over the years. While we cannot be together in person, it does not lessen the amount
of appreciation we have for them and what they mean to us.
The Hauptmans have given so much to the school over the years. Rabbi Hauptman started as
a teacher and moved up to be our amazing Head of School. Yocheved is the reason why the
administration works like clockwork, wearing the hats of bookkeeper, office manager, registrar
and of course…school nurse. We will miss them very much when they move to Chicago this
summer!
The Rosenbaums have given just as much as loved volunteers. Elliott as a past President and
board member and Emily as a former board member, Education Committee member, and
annual dinner chair.
Thank you Yocheved, Shaya, Emily and Elliott for absolutely every minute you have given to
Torah Academy. We are much richer and wiser because of it!

“The Beyer family would like to express our
sincere gratitude to the Hauptmans for their
guidance throughout the years. Even after our kids
graduated from Torah academy Rabbi Hauptman
helped us with sending the boys to Yeshiva. We will
miss them very much and wish them much success
in their next journey.

Emily and Elliott, this brings me
great joy. You said you must “step
up to the plate” to do whatever
is needed when you moved to
Jacksonville in 2008 and, indeed,
you have. I love you so VERY much,
not only because you are my family,
but also because of all the never-
ending mitzvot you do for your
“family, friends, shul, Torah Academy,
Jacksonville Torah HS, and klal
Yisroel.
You have raised Aliza, Noa, Ari and
Yoni, who are, together with cousins
Neima and Rivka of Baltimore, more
precious to me than any jewels on
the planet. They have gained so much and thrived over the years
from being part of the Etz Chaim-Torah Academy community. Their
service to Hashem, love of Torah, and commitment to doing mitzvot,
is a credit to you, to Etz Chaim, the Torah Academy, the community,
and their extended family and friends.
Whatever the challenge, you are there to help. I am so grateful to
Hashem that you have merited being honored in this way. MAY YOU
GO FROM STRENGTH TO STRENGTH
Love, Mom
To Emily and Elliott: I am so proud of you both for
your continued devotion to your community and
Jacksonville Torah Academy. You both have dedi-
“cated so much time, energy and effort despite your
busy family life. You have done this L’shma and
not for any money or reward. You have been such
an inspiration to so many and have brought many
people to Torah and Mitzvos. You have truly given
with your heart, soul and resources. May Hashem
reward you in this life and the next many times
over!
Love, Jenny, Scott, Neima and Rivka

To the Hauptmans:
It’s so hard to imagine that soon you’ll be leaving,
off to Chicago where in the winter it’s freezing.
You’ve been here for us for ten wonderful years,
through good times, tough times, laughter and tears.
You hosted the shalom zachor for our both of our sons,
had us for Shabbos meals, playdates, and times that were fun.
“All the hours of Avengers, rollerblading, trampoline and Lego play,
when it was time to go home, your kids wanted to stay.
Even in the office when we had a simple question or task,
we would stay and schmooze so in your presence we could bask.
We worked hard together to strengthen TA,
with so many elegant dinners that fell out in May.
We will miss each one of you from the bottoms of our hearts, and
hope that the distance won’t keep us apart.
Those folks in Chicago are lucky to have you,
we wish you much hatzlacha in all that you’ll do.
Love,
The Rosenbaums
“Your devotion to the school and to the community
