at age five. He is a Central High School graduate
and received his Bachelors degree in Education in
1976 and his Masters Degree in Educational
Administration in 1983-both from Creighton
University.

Before being chosen as principal, JenJ' served as
Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at South
for six years. Jerry's philosophy is simple and won-
delful "ifit's good for the kids at South, I'm all for
it." He is also encouraging more parent and commu-
nity involvement with his kids at South.

Jerry brings an expressive nature and an enthusi-
asm for South High that are exciting to be around.
We know that Mr. Bartee will uphold the honors

and traditions ofour alma mater during his tenure.

to all these reunion committees.

An additional 160 alumnus and friends have

Dick Gulizia, Alumni Association President sent contributions to bring total membership at

(Class of'61) this writing to 700. Thanks to all our members.

A special thanks to Emily Nystom Gentry, Class of 1914, for her donation of 1908, 1911,

and 1914 yearbooks to the Alumni Association.

We have graduates in all 50 states and would like to have members nationwide. Please

help us reach the goal of completing the nationwide connection by reaching out, joining

and encouraging fellow South High graduates and niends to join now.

We encourage ndt only reunion committees, but other groups of alumnus to tallc about

what the Alumni Association has done and intends to do in the future, and thus encour-

age fellow alumnus to join. This connecting is essential for your Association to continue to

grow. Although having 700 members is great, it is a long way from including a majOlity of

the 25,000 Imown graduates. In other words, there is plenty of room for encouraging the

connection.
