1971 Class hosted its own “double thirty” birthday
party on 8-10-13 at Circo’s in Papillion. The
celebration included pizza, soft drinks and a huge
birthday cake. They sang to themselves, signed a
huge birthday card for the archives, and then lined
up for a part in a YouTube filming by George
Dare, a 1971 classmate. “Oh Nebraska” was
enthusiastically shouted by classmates and visitors
alike for a brief claim to fame in the video. We’ll
post a link on our website when it is released in
connection with George’s song about our beloved
Cornhuskers and fans. A photo of the group at this
event appears above. All classmates (and other
Packers and friends wanting to catch up with the
class) are invited to future gatherings–held every
other month on the second Saturday of the month.
The no-host gatherings are either at Circo’s in
Papillion or Sortino’s off 84th and L Street at 6:30
