THE MID YEAR BOOK
For t he first time in lhe history of the school, it is the privilege of a
Tooter Staff to present to t he f acuJ ty, students and friends of South High
Sc.hool, a Mid-Year edition of lhe Tooter Annual.
Th e Staff m embers deserve much praise for their co-operation and
Whole-hearted as is tan ce. Cr edi t should also be given to the Senior Com-
mittees, for t h e time and effort they have given i n making the book a
s u ccess.
F or t he p r inting of the <•d1tio11 we are indebted to Mr. Schlossin and
lhc printin g classes, who huvr given much o.f their time to the work on
the book. Under Mr. Hchlu~Rrn '~ dircwtion the classes have progressed very
1·ap idly and have bC'comP r , 11ry proficient and useful depar tment in the
Hchool.
It has been t he nmhition of the Staff to make this Tooter a mirror of
the events of t he p ast sPrncster. We have tried to make the book a cr edit
to South High and the Class of ,January, 1923.
Onr only wish is t hat yo11 review these pages with a kindly eye, and
be lenient if yo u think t he wol'k falls short of perfection.

Robert Kibbie,
E ditor-in-chief .
