academics, vocational and transitional
goals.
Projects such as community activities,
practicing social skills, and activities in-
volving other South High classes were
common this year.
One project the students took part in in-
volved the members of the National
Honor Society. The ungraded students
worked together with the National Honor
Society members to help recycle paper.
The students sorted the paper collected
by the Honor Society members and they
also provided and decorated the collec-
tion boxes.
The ungraded students also partici-
pated in the Special Olympics. To help
fund that activity, the students collected
aluminum cans and recycled them.
Socially, the students participated in
the Just Friends Club which was open to
all students in the building.
