A Taurus Is a Pound

-And-a -Haff of Lofle

Armed with a new name, new image, and fresh unbounded e nergy, the 1970 TAURUS
staff has worked to put together a yearb ook to b ring o ut the life o f South High School.
It is dedicated to the South High student.

Yearbooks aren ' t made in on e week, o r even in one semester. It takes all y ear to pre-
pare this in accordance with a tre mendous a mount of teamwork. Extra hours are required
in the organization of the 1970 TAURUS. T hese extra hours, ofte n spent at the h o m e of
the TAURUS advisor, are not all work . Often , pizza a nd pop are sh ared aro und a fire -
place. All this takes place only after pages are completed and once again deadline is met.

Other yearbook activities include a novel b eing written by the staff, a trip to Shawn ee
Mission , Kan sas to ob sen ; the 1970 TAURUS being run o ff a t the publishing company,
and many committees are being o rganized , such as: Recruiting and P ublic Relations, Dis-
tribution , and Social Functions Committees.

Some times t he road gets rough and the stars begin to fade , bu t the cooperatio n of
e veryone always pulls the staff t hrough.
