Cyber bullying, a threat to mankind. Now a days humiliating someone publicly has become so easy.
Most of us, especially the young generation, are so active on social media now a days. They spend most
of their leisure time in chatting with friends, random strangers and sharing memes. Meme ,no matter
what the topic is, has become a grand part of their entertainment. Trolling or roasting is the new cool
to them. But little do they know that trolling someone online without any valid reason is like a virtual
mob linching. The trollers never try to think out of the box, they never imagine that the person who is
being bullied may be not okay with it. He may get depressed or commit suicide too. Humiliating
someone digitally, ruining someone's social reputation is not a sign of being a good human being. If you
don't like someone, speak to him in person. Sort this out privately. You may choose cyber bullying as a
path of revenge or fun and may forget it after some time ,but the victim may not. We have laws to give
justice to us, not cyber bullying.

Cyberbullying means using social media or the internet to hurt someone on purpose. I play scrabble a
lot and being single and lonely, I am addicted to it. There is a chat option too on scrabble and I have
scrabble friends from across the world since ten years. Last year one of them started catting with me
and seemed to be a single man, very articulate and convincing. But somehow I felt that he was fake
and I asked for a video call. I would call and I would be shown a still picture and told that the net was
slow. He said he was from Austria and his 12 year old daughter needed treatment in Delhi. After few
days he called me saying he was robbed in Delhi and lost his wallet, all his credit cards and wanted me
to transfer money to him. I saw red and started checking his profile pictures online. It was a fake id and
I realised I was a victim of Catfishing! Catfishing is creating a fake identity online and using it to entice
one into a relationship.
My personal experience warned me to be wary of anyone chatting online. I would advise everyone to be
very cautious about chatting online and sharing personal details. Yes, it is not easy but then be safe,
rather than be sorry.

It is a form of harassment using electronic means. It is increasing day by day in the whole world. The
victims always suffer from depression & slowly they are mentally disbalanced. Sometimes I also faced
these problems through social media. It is necessary that govt. should be implemented hard & fast rules
immediately.

In my opinion, whatever you do, Tik Tok or YouTube blogging, we have no right to judge anyone on the
basis of our choice. These kind of roasting is highly popular in every blogging platfrom, but we are
equally responsible by liking such content and not reporting it. Being a digital marekting strategist, I
understand and suggest, every social media platform is unique and useful if you adopt influencer
marketing and provide value through your content to your viewers.

With the advancements in technology and more phones produced than the number of people on
earth, cyber bullying has turned out to be a serious matter of concern.
A colossal amount of cyber bullying accused are either teenagers or adolescents. In India, the anti-cyber
bullying laws came into existence to protect the interest of the people who are tortured or
embarrassed with the help of digital appliances.
Place of occurrence of cyber bullying are as follows :

● Social Media ( Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, etc.)
● SMS (text messages from the cellular network)
● Instant Message Services (Whatsapp, Facebook messenger, I message, etc.)
● Email

Cyber bullying can be done in different forms over the various online platform.
Cyber bullying in concern with the ‘YouTube VS TikTok: The End’ video

A few days ago, Carry Minati (Ajay Nager) Posted a video in which he roasted a popular TikToker Amir
Siddiqui by making fun of his lifestyle, the quality of videos that he made and the hashtags he used to
post his pictures on a popular platform such as Instagram. However, The video got a massive response
from all over the Internet and was on the verge of being the most liked non-music video. But, just a day
before hitting such a benchmark, it was removed from the Internet. In such a situation, the question
arises, “WHY”?
Ajay Nager was devastated at this loss and his fans also lost their cool. They were adamant to take their
revenge and made sure that the Chinese platform ‘TikTok’ got the worst ratings on the Playstore and
they were hugely successful in the same. Within 4 days, the ranking of the app came down from 4.6 to 2
stars. However, the rating was back to 4.4 .
Furthermore, Youtubers like Awanish Singh and Elvish introduced videos comparing Youtubers with
the TikTokers and made sure that a negative image of the latter is produced. On one hand, all this was
taken as a joke, but on the other hand, there were some communities and individuals who were really
hurt. Some of the reasons why this hatred and comparison between both the parties shall stop are as
follows:

It depends on the creator that what type of content one wishes to publicise. There are many creators on
TikTok who are promoting dance, singing, cooking, art skills on the platform. On the other hand, there
are a lot of cringe videos on Youtube as well.
Calling someone ‘Beti’ is a comparison between a boy and a girl, where one is indirectly stating the girls
being an inferior gender.
Carry’s famous Dialogue, “Mithai ki Dukan pe le ke jaunga, 200 mei bik jaega” was a serious case in
which he has insulted the homosexuals and this video being majorly circulated on the internet has
given the society an additional point to not indulge the queers, lesbians and gays as the part of them,
which is not at all funny.

Influencers, no matter if they are on TikTok or YouTube, shall not take destructive advantage of their
fame and shall not use their influence or harassing or bullying others, especially the suppressed groups
of the society.
