Create a new Drawing
document by left clicking on
the New button (see item 1).

Then left click on the Part icon
(see item 2).
Finally left click the OK button
(see item 3).

Once the document is created, set your drawing units by Note: Your unit
left clicking on the unit button (see item 4) button may currently
display MMGS, IPS
Then left click on the Edit Document Units (see item 5) etc.

Left click the IPS unit (if
not already selected) (see

Length Decimal place
and select the 3 Decimal

Select the Sketch tool
located in the Sketch tab.
(see item 1)

Create a sketch on the
TOP plane by selecting
the Top Plane in the
graphics area. (see item
2)

Note: The sketch
should orientate normal
to your view. If not,
use Ctrl 8 on the
keyboard.

3 Select the Centerpoint
5 Striaght Slot Tool in the
Sketch Tab (see item 3).

Select the origin
(see item 4).

Then move your cursor so
the center line is horizontal
(see item 5).

Then, move the curser outward in any direction
to establish the perimeter of the slot and left
click at any arbitrary point. (see item 7)
