Our Story

For the city of Effingham, WSC is a
testimony to the perseverance of its
residents. This community effort was years
in the making driven by a desire to offer
amenities that benefit the town as a
whole. Dr. Richard Workman, the Effingham
Park District, and the City of Effingham all
made significant contributions to get the
project started, with the community rallying
to raise money to see it through to
completion. This complex benefits not only
Effingham residents, but those living in
surrounding communities. WSC is a reflection
of a hard-working, proud community.
