Nathaniel S. Rounds, known to his friends as “Nate”, was born in Wichita Falls,
Texas, home of the world’s shortest skyscraper. His normal explanation for his background
is that he was “born in Texas, corrupted in Maine, and reformed in the [Canadian]
Maritimes.” Rounds states that he takes most of his disposition from his maternal
grandfather, Harry Aiguier, who was a mechanic with Joseph P McCabe, Inc. of Boston, MA.
He has appeared in print since 1986, much of his his technique and inspiration coming from
working variously as a graphic artist and photographer, television salesman, and
warehouse receiver. His frequent illness and exposure to the Bible, literature, and the
arts has made for an eclectic point of view.
Tara Blaine is a writer, editor, and sometime publisher living in Portland, Oregon.
