PARKROYAL COLLECTION Ballroom Strategically nestled in the dense urban city centre at the corner intersection of Jalan Sultan Ismail and Jalan Imbi, the existing ParkRoyal Hotel and the adjacent new Pan Pacific Suites Hotel underwent a major rebranding transformation @ “Hotel in a Garden” concept which is symbolic of the distinctive ParkRoyal brand. The two major refurbishment areas included the following: 1) The “Garden” ballroom and Pre-function area Located at Level 2, the existing ballroom that was last refurbished in 2003, was in a dilapidated state and was in need of a major facelift. 2) The “Collection” Ballroom Located at Level 2 of the new Pan Pacific Suite Hotel, this ballroom provides a feeling of stepping into a courtyard space with its curving arch timber acoustic walls that provide a softness to the large spaces. “A challenging retrofitting project with a refreshing green & innovative hotel solution within the city.” PARKROYAL Hotel Kuala Lumpur PROJECT DESCRIPTION In March 2020, the existing PARKROYAL Hotel and the adjacent dilapidated President House office building underwent a major rebranding transformation symbolic of the distinctive PARKROYAL brand. This design and build refurbishment project, strategically nestled in the city centre, is under Phase 1 of the Master Development Plan for these two buildings. Built at a project cost of around RM35 million, the construction team drew inspiration from the complexity and challenges faced to complete this project successfully taking into consideration the downtime due to COVID-19, marking another outstanding construction feat achieved by this reputable interior fit-out builder.
