T he 993 series Porsches were first introduced in 1995 and

The Roadster is the most underrated, overlooked and un-
dervalued of all the early Porsche 356 production road
cars. The Roadster has the cleanest and purest lines in
true open sports car fashion. Approximately 2100 cars were
built during a 3-year production run. The Roadster has all the
looks and charm of a Speedster, yet far more practical since it
comes with comfortable optional reclining seats, slightly taller
windshield and roll-up windows. The Drauz body is based on
the new T5 “B”, but with Speedster lines, a fully retractable top
as well as the familiar Speedster style tri-gauge dash pod. This
sporty Roadster is prepared in true “Outlaw” theme. Some
of the modifications include a louvered rear decklid, through
the hood gas filler, deleted bumpers, red rear back-up light,
Euro tail light lenses, factory style Hella 128 fog lights, upper
front grills with mesh inserts, Fender mounted Talbot racing
mirrors, Speedster style seats, roll bar, 356 SC 7000 rpm Elec-
tric tach, auxiliary gauges and vintage wood steering wheel,
Koni shocks and wide RS60 style wheels and tires. The power
comes from a modified later model Porsche 912 engine with
Carrera stinger style exhaust. This Outlaw performs well and is
rarin’ to hit the road.
