Kata-kata Aluan Pengetua


Guru bahasa dan pengkaryaan seiya sekata, seiring sejalan". Berasal

daripada impian dan hasrat murni untuk menterjemahkan idea-idea
kreatif guru dan pelajar kepada bahan cetakan akhirnya penerbitan
sulung "Karya Kita" berlabuh di pelabuhan kekal. Sesungguhnya, banyak
masa dikorbankan malahan titis-titis peluh yang jatuh mengiringi usaha
murni ini dengan pelbagai kekangan. Keterbatasan masa, komunikasi
serta terhadnya pengalaman tidak melunturkan semangat malahan telah
memacu semangat para guru dan pelajar untuk merealisasikan penerbitan
ini. Kejayaan ini merupakan terjemahan paling tepat untuk moto sekolah
iaitu "Kami Impikan, Kami Jayakan". Bermula dengan impian dan berakhir
dengan sebuah kejayaan.

Sekalung tahniah dan ucapan terima kasih diucapkan kepada Unit
Bahasa SMKPT yang diterajui oleh Pn. Wong Onn Nie, Ketua Bidang

The Covid-19 pandemic is a crisis that has affected almost every field globally, including education (Ayittey et. al.,
2020). In March 2020, following an alarming rise in the number of Covid-19 cases, the Malaysian government

with stricter regulations, which included the closure of all educational facilities. Therefore, educators and students
are left with no other choice but to resort to other means such as online, offline or off-site teaching and learning in
order to sustain educational activities. In this article, online learning is used interchangeably with 'non face-to-face

teaching and learning', and it will be the central issue explored at hand.

Depresi?

Pernahkah anda tiba-tiba merasa sedih, kecewa, dan merasa hanya ingin
bersendiri? Hati-hati. Mungkin… yang anda lalui saat itu adalah tanda-tanda depresi.
Apa itu depresi? Menurut alodokter.com, depresi adalah gangguan suasana hati,
yang ditandai dengan perasaan sedih yang mendalam dan rasa tidak peduli dengan
suasana sekeliling.

Seseorang yang depresi itu seringkali melihatkan dirinya yang tidak berdaya
lalu disertai dengan perasaan sedih yang berlanjutan. Selain itu, ia juga bersangkut-
paut dengan rasa hilangnya tenaga sehingga malas untuk melakukan sesuatu
perkara.
Sebenarnya… tiada sebab yang spesifik untuk seseorang yang mengalami depresi. Ia
boleh menyerang semua orang bila-bila saja. Setiap orang dapat mengalami depresi
kerana pelbagai masalah. Entah itu terkena depresi kerana keluarga menuntut
anaknya untuk menjadi sempurna, bahkan merasa gagal menjadi seseorang teman.
Selain itu, terdapat tiga model etiologi depresi iaitu etilogi depresi (the
biopsychosocial model), teori dari sistem (theory of system) dan model diatesis-stres
(the diatheses-stress model).

1. Bagaimana kita boleh tahu seseorang itu mengalami depresi atau kemurungan?
- Merasa sedih, murung selalu dan suasana hati yang kosong.
- Kehilangan energi, perasaan letih, lemah dan selalu lesu.
- Merasa bersalah dan tidak berguna.
- Perubahan pola tidur.
- Selalu lelah walau tidak melakukan apa-apa pekerjaan.
- Gelisah, insomnia, atau tidur berlebihan.

2. Bagaimana menghadapi mereka yang mengalami kemurungan?
Insan-insan yang mengalami depresi atau kemurungan ini hanya memerlukan
dukungan dari lingkungan hidup atau sekitarnya, misalnya keluarga atau teman
terdekat. Tapi, keluargalah sebenarnya yang menjadi punca utama seseorang
mengalami depresi dan juga obat utamanya. Terkadang, ibu bapa terlalu
menginginkan anaknya mendapatkan nilai yang sempurna mahu dalam akademik
atau bukan akademik. Mereka terlalu memikirkan perkara tersebut hingga mental
anak dilupakan.

Seharusnya, ketika seseorang itu mengalami kemurungan, ibu bapa, teman-teman
harus memberikan semangat seperti berkata, “semangat! Kamu boleh lalui semua
ini. Tuhan tidak membebankan hamba yang dicipta oleh-Nya tanpa sebab. Usah
risau, aku yakin kamu boleh. Kerana aku selalu ada disamping kamu.” Atau
menanyakan seperti… “kamu kenapa? Ada masalah ya? Sini cerita sama aku, telinga
dan bahuku selalu ada untuk kamu.” Mungkin ini terlihat sederhana, tetapi cukup
memberi makna. Perkara yang sering kita merasa biasa, itu terlihat cukup istimewa
dimata mereka. Mengapa? Kerana mereka yakin bahwa disaat mereka jatuh, masih
ada insan yang menghulurkan tangan, meringankan beban di bahu mereka.



3. Cara mencegah depresi.
Jika diberikan sakit, tentu ada juga penawarnya. Begitu juga dengan depresi. Kita
boleh mencegahnya. Dengan cara apa?
- Istirahat yang cukup. Seperti umumnya, tidur selama 6-8 jam sehari dapat
menurunkan tingkat kemurungan.
- Jaga pola makan seimbang agar stamina tubuh terjaga.
- Berfikir rasional akan mencegah gejala depresi dan mengamalkan sikap hidup yang
positif.
- Memiliki me-time atau waktu untuk diri sendiri, di antara kesibukan yang padat.
- Melakukan senaman untuk mencegah depresi.
- Memiliki seseorang yang boleh dijadikan tempat meluah, saling berbagi dan saling
membantu entah itu datangnya dari ahli keluarga atau teman.

Konklusinya, berikanlah sokongan melalui amalan kerohanian daripada menghina
dan dapatkan rawatan psikoterapi daripada professional. Jangan menghukum
mereka. depresi atau kemurungan ini tidak ada kaitan langsung dengan kurangnya
iman dalam diri seseorang. Manusia itu bersifat lemah. Buktinya? Surah An-Nisa’
ayat 28 yang bermaksud, “dan manusia diciptakan (bersifat) lemah.” Pesakit yang kuat
agamanya juga tidak terkecuali kerana penyakit mental tidak mengenal sesiapa.
Seterusnya, belajarlah memahami diri, belajar mencintai diri serta belajarlah
memahami orang lain juga. Jika memang sakit depresi tidak membaik di diri anda,
segeralah berkonsultasi dengan psiakiater.

Teruntuk kalian yang mengalami penyakit ini, yakin bahawa kamu boleh lalui
semua ujian yang ada di dunia fana ini. Semangat!

KESAN PANDEMIK COVID – 19
KEPADA SESI PERSEKOLAHAN

NURUL AISYAH QAIRISYAH BINTI MUKRI (1K5)

Penutupan sekolah pada 18 Mac 2020 bertujuan untuk
memberhentikan penularan Covid-19 yang semakin berleluasa.
Pelaksanaan program pembelajaran dalam talian (PDPR) atau
secara tepatnya iaitu belajar daripada rumah melaui internet.

Akan tetapi,sebilangan pelajar mempunyai masalah dalam
program pembelajaran ini seperti masalah kadar internet yang
kurang,susah memahami pelajaran yang disampaikan
guru,berkongsi telefon dengan keluarga dan ada juga pelajar
yang sengaja atau malas mengikuti program pembelajaran atas
talian ini.

Selain itu ,pelajar banyak kehilangan masa untuk menimba
ilmu pengetahuan dan mereka lebih meluangkan masa dengan
benda yang tidak berfaedah. Seperti permainan video,menonton
televisyen ,bermain media social dan sebagainya.

Seterusnya,program pembelajaran atas talian ini juga
memberi kesan negatif kepada pelajar contohnya pelajar
mempunyai masalah tekanan keatas program ini kerana tidak
memahami pelajaran yang disampaikan oleh guru,kerja sekolah
bertimbun kerana ditangguh dan pelajar semakin malas.

Namun demikian,program pembelajaran atas talian ini
membawa kesan yang baik kepada pelajar . Iaitu pelajar dapat
mengatur jadual masa dengan lebih baik, pelajar dapat
menyiapkan atau menyediakan persiapan lebih awal untuk
menghadapi kelas online dan pelajar juga mudah mendapatkan
bahan rujukan dengan melalui internet.

Kesimpulannya, kesan pandemik Covid-19 kepada sesi
persekolahan ialah pelajar dapat lebih berdikari dan berusaha
untuk memahami subjek-subjek pelajaran serta mengajar diri
untuk lebih banyak bersabar.

Berfikir sejenak, mengimbau masa lampau, alangkah peritnya menahan kepiluan kehidupan negara
tatkala dibelenggu cengkaman penjajah. Namun begitu, ikhtiar mendepani cabaran dan pelbagai liku-liku
kehidupan demi ke arah negara gemilang dan terbilang di persada dunia sentiasa kekal utuh meskipun
rintangan yang bertali arus menjadi tembok penghalang beberapa seketika. Fenomena ini persis kata
cendekiawan, berjalan sampai ke batas, berlayar sampai ke pulau.Tanpa satu kombinasi usaha yang padu
antara masyarakat dan pemimpin, sudah tentu negara sukar membangun. Meladeni arus
pascamodenisme yang semakin mencabar dari semasa ke semasa, nusa yang kita cintai ini semakin utuh
dan terkenal di puncak jagat hasil daripada kerjasama tokoh-tokoh seperti Almarhum Tunku Abdul
Rahman Putra Al-Haj, Perdana Menteri Malaysia yang pertama. Sumbangan beliau yang tidak terhingga,
lamanya memerah keringat menjadi pedoman ke arah penampilan wajah baru negara yang disulami
tekad. Bermulalah detik kejayaan dan kecemerlangan negara yang dilakar satu demi satu menjadi ingatan
setiap insan yang bergelar rakyat Malaysia. Andai direnungkan sejenak alkisah sejarah terdahulu,
pengorbanan dan jasa pimpinan Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj, seorang Tokoh Perdana Menteri
Malaysia yang tersohor telah banyak memberi sumbangan khususnya dalam bidang 1 politik dan
pentadbiran. Sebelum dicanangkan dan dipaparkan kecemerlangan yang digapai oleh beliau, pengenalan
secara ringkas tentang biodata tokoh Tunku Abdul Rahman menjadi mukadimah perbincangan. Nama
Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj bukanlah nama yang asing bagi rakyat Malaysia, lebih-lebih lagi dalam
kronologi sejarah politik tanah air. Beliau digelar sebagai Bapa Kemerdekaan dan merupakan Perdana
Menteri Malaysia Pertama. Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj diputerakan pada 8 Februari 1903 di Alor
Star, Kedah. Beliau merupakan putera ke-20 kepada Sultan Abdul Hamid Halimshah. Pada usia enam
tahun, beliau belajar di salah sebuah sekolah Melayu di Alor Setar dan kemudian bersekolah di
Government English School. Semasa usia beliau tujuh belas tahun, beliau dihantar oleh keluarganya ke
seberang laut untuk menuntut pelajaran di St. Catherine’s College, Universiti Cambridge, England. Pada
tahun 1925, beliau telah lulus mendapat Ijazah Sarjana Muda dalam Undang-undang dan Sejarah dari
Universiti Cambridge. Betapa lamanya pimpinan Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al Haj sebagai Perdana
Menteri Malaysia bermula dari zaman era pascakemerdekaan iaitu 31 Ogos 1957 sehinggalah 22
September 1970.

Salah satu tonggak kerjaya politik Tunku Abdul Rahman adalah pelantikannya sebagai Pengerusi
Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Bersatu (UMNO), menggantikan Dato ‘Onn Jaafar pada tahun 1951. Dia
menyatukan pelbagai komuniti Tanah Melayu yang berbagai bangsa dan menerajui pakatan antara
UMNO, Persatuan Cina Malaya ( MCA) dan Malayan Indian Congress (MIC). Melalui kerjasama dan
perpaduan, Parti Perikatan memenangi pilihan raya pada tahun 1955 dan Tunku Abdul Rahman menjadi
Ketua Menteri Persekutuan Tanah Melayu yang pertama.

Bukti pengorbanan dan sumbangan Tunku Abdul Rahman dalam bidang politik dan pentadbiran
dirumuskan oleh Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad ketika beliau memberi ucapan takziah di atas kembalinya ke
rahmatullah Al marhum Yang Teramat Mulia Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra al- Haj , bekas Perdana Menteri Malaysia
pada 10 Disember 1990 di Dewan Rakyat, dengan menyediakan beberapa isi ucapan beliau mengenai tindakan dan
perwatakan murni yang dimiliki oleh Tunku Abdul Rahman. Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra al-Haj bukan sahaja menjadi
pemimpin orang Melayu dalam mempelopori kemerdekaan negara ini tetapi terus menjadi seorang negarawan
ulung yang disegani dan dicintai oleh semua kaum. Formula politik Perikatan yang dipelopori oleh Almarhum Tunku
Abdul Rahman bagi menyatukan rakyat Malaysia merupakan formula yang terbukti keberhasilannya. Setelah
mencapai kemerdekaan dan membentuk Malaysia, Tunku Abdul Rahman berperanan penting sebagai pemimpin
dan pemandu pembangunan negara kita ke arah kemajuan dan kemakmuran. Beliau bersama-sama dengan Tun
Abdul Razak Hussein mencipta rancangan pembangunan yang memberi penekanan kepada pembangunan luar
bandar. Tunku Abdul Rahman turut mengasaskan budaya politik yang berlandaskan kompromi dan muafakat di
antara golongan-golongan yang berlainan latar belakang dan kepentingan. Tunku Abdul Rahman juga merupakan
seorang penentang fahaman dan gerakan komunis.Sudah pasti rakyat Malaysia tidak membutuhkan pertolongan
mahupun penguasaan komunis yang hanya meruntuhkan kegemilangan negara. Apabila Tunku Abdul Rahman
menandatangani perisytiharan berakhirnya darurat, Tunku Abdul Rahman telah menyatakan betapa bangganya
Tunku Abdul Rahman dengan perpaduan dan taat setia rakyat Malaysia.Tunku Abdul Rahman menyatakan rakyat
Malaysia telah memperlihatkan kepada dunia bahawa mereka mempunyai cara hidup yang jauh lebih baik dan
lebih makmur daripada yang dijanjikan oleh pihak komunis. Tunku Abdul Rahman juga telah memainkan peranan
penting dalam mengembangkan syiar Islam di negara kita dan di peringkat antarabangsa. Almarhum Tunku Abdul
Rahman mengasaskan Majlis Tilawah Al-Quran Kebangsaan dan Antarabangsa yang menjadi satu acara yang
menarik dalam dunia Islam hingga ke zaman muasir kini. Sebagai pemimpin Pertubuhan Kebajikan Islam Malaysia
(PERKIM), Tunku Abdul Rahman telah membantu mengembangkan syiar Islam di rantau ini dan berusaha
memelihara kebajikan mereka yang memeluk agama Islam. Kata Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir lagi bahawa Tunku Abdul
Rahman tidak lagi bersama kita. Namun sumbangan Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman tidak dapat dihilangkan
daripada kenangan kita. Tiada sesiapa pun dapat menafikan sumbangan Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman kepada
negara yang amat dicintai oleh Almarhum Tunku Abdul Rahman. Nama dan sumbangan beliau akan tetap tertulis
dengan tinta emas dalam sejarah negara. Tunku Abdul Rahman telah mengetuai ahli-ahli kerajaan selama 13 tahun
lamanya. Setiap generasi perlu mengenang dan menghargai jasa beliau selama beliau mengisi masa kehidupannya
memikirkan uslub efektif dalam mewujudkan kemakmuran negara dan keharmonian rakyat.

Negara yang mempunyai rakyat berbilang bangsa, keturunan dan agama berjaya melakarkan kejayaan
apabila keharmonian dapat diperkukuhkan sehinggalah ke hari ini tanpa adanya perkauman. Agama Islam sebagai
agama rasmi Negara dan bahasa Melayu sebagai bahasa Kebangsaan membuktikan jasa dan sumbangan para
pemimpin dalam mempertahankan kedaulatan negara. Marcapada, kita telah menghirup udara hasil kemerdekaan.
Muafakat merupakan inti kepada perpaduan dan cerucuk utama pembangunan negara.

Hancur badan dikandung tanah, budi baik dikenang juga. Harimau mati meninggalkan belang, manusia mati
meninggalkan nama. Begitulah yang diumpamakan dengan perwatakan dan sifat-sifat luhur yang dimiliki oleh
Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra al-Haj. Setiap individu harus cakna dan tidak sesekali memandang enteng akan perkara
yang mampu menggugat kedaulatan dan keamanan negara yang telah dibina oleh Tunku Abdul Rahman.. Nilai-nilai
murni serta mahmudah yang terpapar wujudnya dalam sanubari yang dipegang erat oleh Tunku Abdul Rahman
wajar dicontohi. Kejayaan yang ditempa hasil daripada sifat pemimpin yang sanggup mengharungi pelbagai
pancaroba dan dugaan menjadi iktibar kepada setiap individu bahawa pentingnya komitmen yang padu dan efisien.
Konklusinya, setiap individu perlulah mengambil langkah sederap dengan 1920 memanifestasikan fikiran agar
kejayaan negara terus dilakar di jagatraya. Setiap rakyat Malaysia haruslah bersyukur atas kegemilangan yang
dikecapi. Tanpa pengorbanan dan perjuangan beliau, tentu kemerdekaan tidak mungkin dapat dicapai pada hari
ini. Ucapan Tunku Abdul Rahman ketika dalam Majlis Belia Malaya, 1960, beliau mengatakan, ”Semua kehidupan
adalah pengalaman dan semua orang melakukan kesilapan. Bercakap mengenai diri sendiri, saya melakukan lebih
banyak kesilapan sebagai remaja berbanding kebanyakan orang lain yang sebaya, tetapi hari ini ia telah terbukti
menjadi pengalaman tidak ternilai untuk kerjaya saya sebagai pemimpin negara saya”. (YTM Almarhum Tunku Abdul

important. The attitude of being confident in oneself can also
make a person beautiful. For example, while performing a
task, one needs to be confident to complete it. With
confidence, one can easily concentrate on the task. Instead of
wasting time and energy worrying too much about being not
good enough, one can always focus their energy on their
goals and what they can achieve.
The nature of respect and generosity can also make a person
beautiful. One can avoid misunderstanding and at the same
time, strengthen their friendship. On the other hand,
generosity is a trait that is likeable.

THE REAL GIFT
IS LIFE ITSELF

Today is the last day my dear aunt is in Malaysia, she will
return abroad to continue her studies for three years. We
spent time together and suddenly, my aunt said “What if, I
hide a gift and a letter so you‘re no longer sad and can read
the letter tomorrow?”. I replied “Okay” with a feeling of
happiness mixed with sadness. How many hours passed, my
aunt had hid the gift and the letter in a box and hid the key
somewhere for me to look for the day after. The next day, I
said goodbye and prayed that my aunt would get there
safely. Once my aunt got into the taxi, I ran inside and started
looking for the key. I searched for two hours and finally I
found the key. I opened the letter that she wrote :

Dear Dayang,

Experiencing loss is a part of life, but good things come
too. Expect the unexpected and future embarrassments. Life is
full of answers to questions we never understand, words that
come out of someone‘s mouth whether good or not. We are
only able to listen and understand it with an open heart
without resentment, even if the words hurt. As we grow old,
we realize life always gives us all these gifts. But what do we
hope for? I want to tell you this in person Dayang, but when
you read this, it means I have go abroad for three years. But
you mustn’t be scared and you mustn’t be sad. I am always
telling you, experiencing lost is a part of life but it doesn’t
define it. Because what really matters is whether you like or
not. Your strength is in your ability to accept that life doesn't
always give the gift we are hoping for, The Real Gift is Life
Itself.
