GREAT indeed is the FAITHFULNESS of the LORD who
has blessed us with increase over the years.
To the Redeemed Family in the Delaware valley rejoice! We are entering a season of grace and growth. To all who have come to meet with the Lord at this epoch-making event we celebrate you. You are about to enjoy a destiny, impacting encounter as you connect with the supernatural power of the Almighty God.
We welcome you all to Gods presence and an outpouring of miracles, healings and wonders.
We extend a very special welcome to our Parents in the Lord, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye and Mother in Israel Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye. We celebrate the grace of God in your lives and thank God for what he would do in all our lives as you minister on this very historic occasion. May the Lord continue to work in you and through you for His glory.
We felicitate with the Abundant Life Center Delaware as it hosts Delaware’s rst Festi- val of Life. We are grati ed that our rst church planted 17 years ago when we were only 18 months old, has grown and mul- tiplied and is now a Province overseeing many other churches in the states of Dela- ware, Virginia and Maryland.

Welcome
TO A DIVINE VISITATION
FIRST DELAWARE HOLY GHOST FESTIVAL OF LIFE
Welcome to the Delaware Holy Ghost Festival of Life, the rst in the First State.
We are very happy to welcome our Father-in-the- Lord Pastor E. A. Adeboye, and our Mother-in- the-Lord, Pastor(Mrs) Folu Adeboye to the State of Delaware, the First State.
We also welcome the leaders of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in North America led by our highly gifted Chairman, Pastor James Fadel.
We are really very joyful that the Lord has, out of
h i s
abundant goodness and mercy, di- rected the steps of our Father-
in-the Lord to Delaware.
Delaware is unique, tak- ing its place as numero uno in achievement of being the rst to sign the Declaration of inde- pendence. The state is peaceful, serene, and life is generally stable. More than 50% of all publicly traded corporations in the United States are incorporat- ed in Delaware, and to top it all, everyone enjoys tax-free shopping
in Delaware.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God came into Delaware in March 2000, and we thank God that the Lord has established and blessed us in this land. The church of God is rmly moving forward.
Today, despite the fact that Delaware is the least- populated state in America, God has helped us to establish nine Parishes (branch Churches) here and a tenth in Elkton, Maryland.
As we celebrate the rst Holy Ghost Festival of Life in Delaware, we are believing God for un- countable blessings to come out of this Service to impact the lives and families of the people of this land and move us all upward and forward in Jesus name.
We thank our hosts, the Delaware State University, particularly President Harry L. Williams, for their hospitality and support.
May the Lord bless you, may His power heal you, and may you receive a divine visitation at the Del- aware Holy Ghost Festival of Life.

The Fear of GOD
Culled from the upcoming book “The Fear of God” by Pastor Ellis ’G. Fagbami
The primary thing in the life of any Christian should be the fear of God. The Bible actually states that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. The beginning of our worship and service of God should be to fear Him and to do His will. This is the foundation of true Christianity.
The scripture in many places speaks of how God relates to those who fear Him. For example, in Psalms 103:11, the Bible says “For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him”. In Psalms 103:13 it says “As a father pities his children, so the LORD pities those who fear Him”.
In Psalms 103:17-18 the Bible says: “But the mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting, on those who fear Him, and His righteousness to children’s children, to such as keep His covenant, and to those who remember His commandments to do them”.
This passage in Psalms says that God’s mercy is great toward those that fear Him and care to do His commandments. It also says that God pities, i.e. has compassion, on those who fear Him, and that His mercies to them is not just for the present time, but everlasting, particularly extending even into the lives of their children and descendants.
What are the implications of the ip side of this passage? Looking at this passage from the ip side, it means that those who do not fear God or do not do his commandments will NOT receive the mercy of God, and that God will not have compassion on them. They will not receive the mercy of God in this present time, or at any other time. Moreover, their children and descendants will not also receive the mercy of God. These are serious issues indeed.
FAVOR, BLESSINGS, INCREASE, AND PROSPERITY ARE ALL AVAILABLE TO CHRISTIANS WHO FEAR THE LORD AND DO GOD'S WILL.
However, it must be very clear to everyone that someone who does not fear God will neither receive the favor of God nor the blessings of God, according to God’s word. Such a person cannot receive the prosperity promised by God and is at the risk of living a shortened life, according to the scriptures.
12 REDEEMED AMERICA SPECIAL EDITION | MARCH 2017
In many churches today, the people of God are being taught a warped gospel. The gospel of prosperity is being taught without connecting it with the fear of God. All teaching on living successfully should start with the gospel of the fear of the Lord.
It is important that the full import of the scriptures be known and be taught at all times. A church where prosperity is preached with no linkage to the fear of God will be full of sinners, sinners who have not worked on their salvation but who expect to get something from God. Preaching favor, blessings, increase, and prosperity without founding them or conditioning them on the fear of God is warped teaching and is a gospel without foundation.
The Psalmist tells us in Psalms 66:18 that "If I regard iniquity in my heart God will not hear me". This means that whatever prayer the sinner offers to God - prayer of protection, prayer of prosperity, prayer for favor, prayer for blessings, etc will not be answered by God. So the people who pray and God hears them are not people who are living in sin.
Where there is no fear of God, sin reigns. It is the fear of God that leads to holy living. Many Christians have heard many sermons on holiness, and they desire to live holy. The Bible clearly states “Pursue ... holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (Hebrews 12:14),
The problem is that many people do not know how to get to start living holy. What do they do? Do they start wearing a white garb or start a chant or a meditation? The simple way to start living holy is to begin to live a life dominated by the fear of God. This means that you begin to see God and his possible impact in the different areas of your life and in what you do in your daily life. The question for the true Christian should be: “If I do this, wouldn’t God be angry with me? Can I afford the consequence of taking this action?”
In America, every motorist has a fear of the police and troopers and cautions themselves as they drive. People drive with care on American roads, more because a police vehicle could be lurking nearby (or an unmarked police car could be driving alongside), rather than the need to avoid accidents on the highway. Accidents are more likely to happen where road users are certain there are no policemen around and drivers become reckless in their driving.
Drivers on American roads keep themselves in check, and do their best to stay under the speed limit. They do this not just because of the potential ne a police of cer who stops them might impose, but because of all the associated woes that that go beyond the payment of a speeding ticket. It is the fear of possible consequences that leads to the fear of police highway patrol of cers.
Should you be stopped by a police of cer for over-speeding, you should consider yourself as being caught in a net and you are at the mercy of the of cer. Firstly, the of cer wastes your time - it takes him an eternity before coming out to speak with you, while he’s researching on his computer into your vehicle ownership, past encounters with the law, etc. He would certainly not be in a hurry to come to speak with you. And when he nally does, he would be as polite as ever and tell you why you were stopped, and then goes back to his patrol car. When he goes back to his car, it takes him another eternity to return to you. In all this, you may even be relaxed and think he is the nicest person on earth - just wait until he comes back to hand you a ticket. If he determines to write you a ticket, he come back with the ticket, also addressing you in the most polite way possible.
Now, instead of cruising unhindered at 10 or 15 miles per hour less than the speed at which you were stopped, your over- speeding now presents you with very serious consequences:
1. Here you are, parked on the side of the road, unable to enjoy your freedom of movement, unable to get out of your car to stretch your legs despite all the freedom in America.
2. You have waited two eternities for the police of cer.
3. You are faced with the consequence of paying a
ticket or the time-wasting process of ghting the ticket in court,
4. You stand a risk of having points on your license.
5. You face the possibility of increase in your auto insurance premium
6. You will arrive at your destination well behind the vehicles you were briskly overtaking while you were speeding. In fact, some of those other vehicles would have long reached their destinations, and their drivers would have been sipping some cold and delicious drink, while you were still on the highway dealing with an unfriendly (at this point the police will not be your friend!) but very polite police of cer.
So what makes you not to exercise what I call your 65th Amendment - your gas pedal freedom – while driving on the highway might not really be an effort to avoid possible accident, but the possibility of an uncomfortable and dragging encounter
with the police. Such an encounter would ALWAYS lead to a waste of your time, a waste of your money, loss of peace of mind a.k.a anxiety, possible loss of driving privilege, etc.
The same is with the fear of God. If you live your life with a continuous consciousness that, like the police patrol car, God is near, that God sees everything you are doing, and that God hears every word you are speaking, and that God could judge your actions and could take some unpredictable and unpalatable action against you for the things you are saying or doing, sometimes immediately, you will live your life in a more God-glorifying way.
If the fear of a highway patrol policeman could make us drive better - a police of cer (of any rank) who has no control over who lives or who dies, a man whose employment is not permanent, whose power is not universal, who cannot promote anyone all by himself, and who has no nal say on the success or prosperity of his neighbors or even of his own family, how much more should we fear a God that can kill and keep alive, God that is sovereign and can do anything to anyone at any time, and a God that may choose to look away while the devil makes mincemeats of us in every area of our lives?
GOD is really WORTH FEARING. Live in the FEAR OF GOD, and you would HAVE LIVED
WELL.

Health
AWARENESS
Tips:
Optimal health is a state of physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. The following health tips are particularly important for persons 18 years and above.
How does one achieve and maintain an optimal health at all times?
1 2
Know your Maker:
His desire is that you prosper and be in good health.
Be knowledgeable about your body:
This can be accomplished by reading and visiting your physician regularly. Also, know your family history: certain medical issues tend to run in families. Knowledge of this can help forestall any issues in the future.
Certain tests are recommended at certain age in life:
Yearly Blood Tests: to review blood counts, kidney and liver function, lipid pro le, thyroid function, screening for communicable diseases like Hepatitis A, B &C, HIV, Syphilis, and Tuberculosis to mention a few.
Diabetes screening:
Diabetes screening is critical as this may present with heart attacks, strokes, or kidney failure. These complications can be prevented if detected early.
Certain procedures like cancer screening in women e.g. cervical and breast are very important. And prostate screening in men beginning at age 50. Colonoscopy is important in both men and women beginning at age 50. This can be done earlier if there is a family history of colon cancer or if there is unexplained bleeding per rectum.
For those who may be on medications for blood pressure control: it is important that you follow up with your physician regularly. This is because blood pressure measurement is not one time recording: it may vary widely over time. Being on the medication should not make you complacent as though all is well. Also, certain blood pressure medications interfere with blood and organ functions and you may need periodic blood tests to ascertain that your blood electrolytes and organ are not compromised.
3
Vision:
Ensure you do a comprehensive eye examination at least once every 2 years. And if you have been diagnosed with eye conditions like glaucoma, you may need more periodic visits. For those with diabetes, yearly visit is recommended.
4 Dental: Yearly cleaning of the teeth by the Dentist is recommended. The mouth is one the sources of fatal
5 blood infections. This is in addition to paying attention
to one’s teeth on a daily basis.
Rest:This is very critical to health, a minimum of 6 to 8 hours of sleep per day is recommended. It is during rest that the body is able to make repairs. If repairs are not made due to lack of adequate rest, it may result in
6 diseases. This is one of the pathogenesis of cancer.
Identify and address stressors early: we should not be ignorant of challenges in life.
These vary from person to person, this could be anxiety about getting a spouse or tension among spouses or nancial dif culties, or loss of job, or failure to succeed in examinations etc, if these are not addressed promptly, may lead to depression. Depression if not well addressed may lead to suicidal and or homicidal thoughts. Please seek help early! I have had to initiate discussion about suspected marital issues in my practice. From my experience, people do not feel comfortable discussing
7 their issues to the third party. If you need counselling, talk to your pastor or someone you trust.
Immunizations: Ensure you get age recommended vaccines: Flu shot should be taken every year, Pneumonia vaccine should be as advised by your physician: Get the shingles vaccine from age 60. Tetanus vaccine every 10 years. Hepatitis B vaccine for high risk individuals and health care professionals.
8 You may need additional vaccines like Typhoid and or cholera if you plan to travel to endemic areas.
Weight Control: There is a correlation between height and weight: this is called Body Mass Index. It is calculated as weight in kilograms divided by the square of the height in meters. The Normal range is 18 to 25. Lifestyle changes like diet and exercise may help to keep your weight within normal range for your height. Physical Exercise is to the body as fasting is to the soul”
Shalom!

THAT MAKES ALL THE Difference By TemitOpe Ibrahim
THE ONE THING
*1 Corinthians 1:27 ** Colossians 2:3 *** John 5:19
ife is simple with GOD. Note I said simple not easy. We make the mistake of thinking simple means easy and that’s not true.
For example, to speak a word and have mountains move is a pretty simple concept. You speak and they move. There’s nothing complicated about that at all. But how many of us have found that easy to do in our lives? I’m sure you can testify that its not so easy to actualize that simple GOD-concept.
It has pleased GOD to exalt the simple things and bring about great deliverance out of ordinary things*. His solution to every single problem you can ever think of, no matter how complicated it is, will always be something simple. I’ll even add, it will always be ridiculously simple. I believe GOD made things simple so that the wise and the fool, the scholar and the student, the president and the peasant, in short everyone, can partake of His design. But many stumble on this simplicity.
As complicated as the sin issue was, when GOD was ready to thwart it, the solution He designed was as simple as stated in Romans 5:18 “[As] Adam’s one sin [brought] condemnation for everyone, Christ’s one act of righteousness [brought] a right relationship with GOD and new life for everyone” (NLT). One Man’s death destroyed and erased all the evil works that had been set in motion against the entire human race. But as simple as that solution was, you can imagine it wasn’t easy to accomplish. It certainly wasn't a day in the park for Jesus as He laid His life down for the whole world. But through that simple design, GOD secured and released forgiveness, deliverance, redemption, salvation, love, healing, wholeness, life and so much more than we can fully comprehend. And yet still, many stumble on this simple solution to a grave problem.
There is a simplicity that is in Christ that we must embrace in our daily walk as we seek to manifest all that GOD intends through our lives. There is a simple secret to all your the likes of Elijah, Peter, Paul, Kathreen Kulman, Smith Wiggleswoth, our very own Pa Akindayomi and Pastor
Enoch Adeboye, seem like super human beings. Still wondering what I am talking about? Obedience to GOD.
After having prayed and fasted, studied and confessed, without obedience to the instructions that GOD will give you after all those activities, your breakthrough will not be entire. Obedience is principal to breaking through; it is the simple key to the life you want to live. All the other things we do (praying, fasting, e.t.c) only aid in helping us to know His will. Many
spirit, we can superimpose heaven on earth as He sees t. In GOD lies all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge**, and only He could direct us to victory on a path we have never walked before. Only He knows the word that will move the particular mountain before you. Only He knows the different solutions to the different problems that come our way in the course of living. If you must master anything, master obedience. Do what GOD says to do, and your life will become heaven on earth.
Jesus told us this secret long ago. He was clear when He told us that He could do nothing of Himself by Himself. He told us that He only did what He saw the Father do, and only spoke what He heard the Father say***. He copied The Father! If you can also become GOD’s copy, saying what He says and doing what He does, you will see the same results in your life that Jesus experienced in His. As a matter of fact Jesus promised that we would do greater works. Obedience to The Holy Spirit is the key to greater works.
The truth is GOD is always speaking. He is eager to reveal His will to you, but you must be conscious and attentive in your spirit to hear Him. He is instructing you in every moment with a goal to secure your lasting victory. If you are asking how you can be conscious and attentive in the spirit, pray that the Lord tunes your ears to His voice, and that He tunes out all other voices so that you may hear only Him and know His will. Above all, you must pray that He would strengthen you to do His will.
Now, BEGIN to OBEY His every WORD.

times, the result of prayer and fasting and everything else are GOD inspired instructions. And once you know His will, you must do His will to actualize the change you require. Just as faith without works is dead*, works (praying, studying, fasting e.t.c) will accomplish nothing without obedience. Obedience is the one thing that sets men apart and gives them access to the supernatural. It is only through obedience to GOD that we manifest GOD in the earth.
I believe that man exists at the cusp of heaven and earth and that through obedience to The One who fuels our

time
By Akin Farmar, Author/Writer/Poet/Speaker
he most important and most precious asset to mankind is TIME! Let us examine how timeworks; when you take a look at the clock, it is in a clockwise motion meaning it is moving forward as we may interpret it, but in actual reality
Time is not counting forward us all, rather as the Time on the clock continues to move forward our Time here on earth diminishes, therefore as we grow we increase in age, we increase in height, we increase in knowledge and we increase in everything except in one thing which keeps decreasing - our TIME! From start to the end, it won’t stop timing. Your Time is limited, and now is the Time to x anything in the future because a lost Time can never be found. Every day you get 2 options:
1 YOU CAN SNOOZE THE
CLOCK AND GO BACK TO SLEEP
or
I’ll like to tell you a story! A group of 21 grandparents all in their 70’s, 80’s and 90’s living a group home were chatting as they watch TV, a teenager visiting her granddaddy sat quietly in a corner as she smiled and listened to their conversation while watching TV. She stood up and said, I have a question? Is there anything that anyone of you have regrets about or something any one of you would have loved to do and did not get to do it? Every single one of these great men and women raised their hands and one after the other mentioned TIME.
Some said I thought I had Time but look at me now I’m 79 years old and I had one great Idea that was always burning in my heart when I was in my 40’s but I kept pushing it back saying I will do it next year, and next year and next year and got nothing done.
Another grandparent said I wasted too much Time on little things in my young days, and never had Time to do the important things and I regret that,
Some said Time went by too fast, could have done more.
2 YOU LOOK AT
THAT CLOCK, KICK IT AND
CONTINUE TO DREAM
" Your Time can NEVER be rewound Time DOES NOT discriminate
You need to STOP talking about killing time, while Time is QUIETLY KILLING you "
I encourage you not to have the misconception of the power of Time because: "The rate of change slows over the life span of an Individual, your children change by the minute, while parents change by the year" - Dan Gilbert (The Psychology of your future self)
Time is major enemy, it takes you to sleep when you are tired and keeps you awake when there is a re. It’s only a matter of Time before our Time runs at, so the question is how are you spending your TIME? Because:
• Your Time can never be rewound
• Time does not discriminate
• You need to stop talking about killing time, while
• Time is quietly killing you
• You will be known for your actions not your
intentions, Procrastination is the thief of Time, therefore let loose the wild imagination of things in your heart, stop talking about it, just do act! Take the rst step, and the second step and the third step....
Finally
you will nd the gift God already deposited in you to share with the world, because God has not created anyone
without a gift!
