PTL 60TH BIRTHDAY PROGRAM

PTL CELEBRATING 60 YEARS
OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
T ribute to My Pastor
Some people come into our lives and quickly
disappear. Some stay and leave footprints on our hearts. It is my pleasure to write a heartfelt tribute to my mentor, my leader, my spiritual boss, my Pastor and above all, my Mother in the Lord Pastor Dr. Toyin Laoye. I’ve known her since 1998 but I started working closely with her in 2008 until present, as one of the Ministers in Dominion Cathedral. Today, I can proudly say that she has impacted my life tremendously. Ma, as I fondly call her, is a charismatic and astute leader, with an extraordinarily warm and accepting heart, open, understanding and compassionate, always showing empathy. A
selfless and accessible Pastor, willing at all times to give herself fully to her flock. She is a risk taker and a problem solver - making people look unto her for decisions and direction. She is a fearless and bottom- line organizer, capable of leading a whole group in a result-oriented direction. Ma is highly motivated by new challenges, setting and achieving goals that will produce tangible and track-able results. She thus has zero tolerance for sloppy and lazy people around her. Thank you ma for giving me the opportunity to learn under your tutelage. As you celebrate your 60th birthday, I ask for greater grace and fresh oil upon your life, in Jesus mighty name. Happy birthday ma!
Love from,
Deaconess Joy Enaohwo Dominion Cathedral
Pastor Toyin, I chose to call you mother because that is the only word that is closer to the vacuum you filled in my life. Your counsel, guidance, and tireless answer to my numerous physical and spiritual needs have gone a long way in making me what I am today. The anointing you carry in your God-given watchword “IT IS WELL” always wrath supernatural healing in my emotion, spiritual, physical body. Just like Moses of old, you have been the hand, the feet, the voice, and the love of God expressed in many different ways to me and all who honor the anointing you carry. Therefore, I am wishing you 60 more years of sound body, mind, prosperous, and glorious years. Like Moses, your eyes will never grow dim and you will join the 24 Elders and all the angels in heaven in Jesus
Mighty name. Amen. Happy Birthday Mom! I Love you

CELEBRATING A MOTHER
OFALL@60
B irthdays are not only the cel- ebration of the days we were born but also a celebration of the fact that we have been able
to conquer death for another year. It is also a celebration of the fact that we have been able to overcome numerous challenges on our life journey. Pastor, this landmark birthday should be cel- ebrated as victories over the forces of darkness that everyday bestride paths in the quest to make a positive impact within your divinely allotted time in this fallen world.
For this reason, we are grateful to God who has added life to your years and who we trust to add more glori- ous years in our lives, in Jesus’ name. Amen. We are honored to share the joy of this momentous occasion with you and the entire Laoye family. Please accept our hearty congratulations.
What cognitive or apprehensible schema can unfold a life so diverse, a mind so fecund and capacious, and a religious icon so profound and coher- ent? Where do I begin to capture the essentials of Pastor (Dr) Mrs. Toyin Adebola Laoye; a teacher who impact- ed knowledge and discipline which has shaped the career of many youths today? An accomplished healthcare practitioner who takes pride in car- ing, Author of many books including my favorites ‘’No pain No gain and Born for such a time as this’; the 1st female Parish Pastor in RCCG North America and Coordinator RCCGNA Region 6 Province 2 with over twenty years of unblemished ministry, An un- assuming pastor whose teachings have greatly impacted and changed many
lives, more importantly a woman that has glaringly demonstrated a mother for all.
To mark your 60th birthday, I decid- ed to set myself the very modest task of celebrating you from the prism of an observer. I do not want to bore you with the sole enormous task of Do- minion Chapel administration since 2003, but today one can undoubtedly point to Dominion Cathedral as one of the fastest growing churches. Over the years I note with interest your wisdom, bold but courageous actions on very volatile issues, but standing on the altar of mercy, issues were ad- dressed to the admiration of all. Try as critics might, they could not create any space between you and Dominion family. This is how things are when people are united in vision, purpose, and God’s grace abound. Perhaps, one of the most remarkable areas you have excelled is your profound and un- breakable connection with the people and the community at large.
Pastor, have you paused for a minute to imagine how many lives you have given solace, strength, and hope, en- couraged each time you start and end your conversation with that statement “It is well”. A real mother understands the child’s past, believes in his or her future, and accepts the child the way he or she is, even when we are getting older. This, you have over time glar- ingly displayed. May God continue to bless you abundantly. Always remem- ber how much you are so loved and appreciated in the face of your daily challenges.

If I had the energy of wishing you a happy birthday a thousand times to- day, I would do it not to show-off, but to re-emphasize how much you mean to us. Our joy in this celebration is an- chored in the confidence that all you have dedicated your life and labored to crystalize will endure generations to the glory of God. RCCG Dominion Cathedral you have toiled to make glo- rious, will stay precious in the sight of God forever. The outpouring of felici- tations and goodwill messages on this occasion is well deserved. Congratula- tions again!!
Finally, if I were to summarize what I learnt from my hindsight observa- tions; it is evident that among your contemporaries, you have rightly proved to be an achiever, an undaunt- ed believer in the power of God, you display qualities of humility with an ingenious talent for hard work, and carry an irrevocable determination to overcome obstacles.
Again, it is that the church of today is like a farm; if you do not cultivate or tend it, weeds of tyrannical order would sprout and begin to choke the seeds of love, peace, and unity plant- ed over the years. We are blessed as a church, people united by faith to cele- brate you and the grace of God in your live. We love you!! Happy birthday!!

TRIBUTE TO PASTOR TOYIN LAOYE @ 60
My encounter with Pastor Toyin Laoye began about 13 years ago. A friend of a friend invited me for a birthday luncheon for one of the Dominion church members on the condition that I attended the church service. When I attended the church service I saw Pastor Toyin Laoye and I was impressed by the way she taught the word of God with authority and compassion. Not too long after, my mother passed away. As I was grieving my mother I felt a huge loss in my heart and for some reason something kept reminding me of that Nigerian church that I visited and felt renewed. Desperate to find the Lord I attended SDA, Catholic, Baptist and Presbyterian churches close to my house but I still felt like something was missing. The Holy Spirit led me back to Dominion Cathedral, where I found peace and comfort. I stopped looking for Jesus in other churches because I had found Him in Dominion Cathedral under the ministration of Pastor Toyin Laoye.
Being a non- Nigerian, one of the things I love about Pastor Toyin Laoye is her love and her embrace for non- Nigerian church members. Pastor Toyin Laoye strives to make Dominion Cathedral an International church and pays extra attention to non- Nigerians in order to make them feel comfortable and at home in RCCG. She has promoted non- Nigerians into various leadership positions and included them in decisions making matters which is rare in other churches. She looks out for us as she knows it’s not easy to be a minority in any gathering.
Leadership Style - I see how she leads her ministers and church members and I have been able to incorporate her leadership style at my job and have found favor with my bosses and coworkers.
Spiritual Growth – As a minister by the Grace of God, I have had the opportunity to preach to the congregation, taught bible studies, officiate in naming ceremonies, service of songs etc. Whenever I attend Kenyan community events, at times I am assigned to give the word or say a prayer. I also discovered my passion and talent for Event Decorating by her leading.
Pastor Toyin Laoye is Anointed, Thorough, Detailed, Strict, Exact, Precise, Perfectionist, Scrupulous, Fastidious and Meticulous. You cannot hang around her and remain dull. Her excellent qualities will rub off you and you will become a better person spiritually, career-wise, emotionally, financially etc. Pastor Toyin Laoye has been there with and for me during illness, celebrations, promotions, growth, etc. She has been a great addition in my life and I thank God for her life.
As Pastor Toyin Laoye celebrates 60 years of Gods faithfulness upon her life, my prayer is that the Lord will continue to bless her and her family, the Lord will continue to enlarge her coast, the Lord will uphold her with His Right hand of Righteousness and keep her from all evil. The Lord will grant her heart’s desires in Jesus name.
Love,
Edith Mise Dominion Cathedral

A TRIBUTE
We give glory to God for the life that we are celebrating today – a life surrendered to Almighty God, a woman who has picked up the cross and follows Jesus. From life’s first cry unto final breath this life is the Lord’s. She is a woman, a pioneer, a symbol of love and victory and an example of a warrior. Faithful is the life she lives in Christ, although she has faced many trials. One thing you can be sure of with her is that Jesus is the commander of her destiny. As a daughter of God, she has pioneered her way in this land and God has prospered her. Her life can be a testimony to many and her commitment to the things of God is a leadership example fit for God’s standard. Pastor, as we join in celebration of your 60th Birthday, know that all of your days are held in God’s hands. You have submitted yourself to God’s Holy calling. You love as a leader and as a mother, privileged are we who can receive smiles and blown kisses when we lock our eyes with yours. You have been set apart, God shall take you higher; lead you further and use your life for greater things as He walks beside you to fulfill your call.
you and reach others - so they will be able to see the strength of God alone that carries you and lifts you up out of the valleys of life. God shall remain your light, and hope, and may you experience His comfort to bring you peace in times of trouble. Continue to say to your soul, through it all, I’ve learned to trust in Jesus, I’ve learned to trust in God...
Stand on Christ who is our solid rock, in times of night and through the storms of life; God will continue to prove His love for you. God is making you stronger and the same God who hears all your selfless lifted prayers for your flock. He has your struggles in the palm of His hand and will wipe away any sorrow with His love.
Deuteronomy 26:17 “Thou hast avouched the Lord this day to be thy God, and to walk in His ways, and to keep His statutes, and His commandments, and His judgments, and to hearken unto his voice”. God with his infinite power has broken protocols over your life. You were a first as a female in your role. I have been privileged to be a member and Minister of your flock, and I have watched you received numerous awards. Glory be to God for how far God has brought you; all honor, glory and praise for where He is taking you as a life totally surrendered to His will. The coming Glory shall be greater upon your life.
to My Pastor
Enlisted in God’s Army, you have purpose and
power. You stand - not afraid, not fake, unbiased
and without fear to tell the truth. We need leaders
to fight against the world that is tearing down the
church. Remain steadfast and lead our brethren,
being the forerunner, and remaining an anchor to
take back enemy’s territory for God. Pastor, God
shall continue to pour strength into your heart and
body. Your soul we know belongs to Him. May
His strength build into an overflowing fountain in54Dominion Cathedral

TRIBUTE TO PASTOR (DR.) TOYIN LAOYE
“Pastor Toyin Laoye is a mother” is the best way I can describe this woman of God with a large heart. I joined Dominion Cathedral sometimes last year but I can count the number of Sunday Services and Vigils I’ve attended because of my busy schedule, even though I joined the church work force early this year. However, my family ran into a serious trouble recently and the next person I thought of calling was Mummy. She was in the middle of a meeting that day but she gave me audience. I was tensed and under pressure but with a sweet and calm voice, mummy would say “all will be well”. As a matter of fact, I almost frustrated her with my calls but as a mother she understood and kept praying and giving us hope.
Unlike some other pastors that would send a delegate, she attended to it by herself. It took over 4 hours of her time that day but Mummy made sure she saw us through it all. And she’s been following up and praying along with us since then. In her prayers she would always say, that “what the enemies meant for evil, God will turn it around for our good” and that was what happened. My wife and I will be eternally grateful to God for ordering our steps
to Dominion Cathedral and for having Pastor Laoye as a Sheppard and a mother. We love you so much ma. We wish you a happy birthday and many happy returns in good health and a sound mind. May you live to celebrate many more glorious years in Jesus name. Amen.
