The Teachers

Louise Ringshaw – A qualified teacher of dance for the Associa�on of American Dancing in
Ballet, Tap and Modern. Louise also has an RSL level 4 Diploma in teaching Street. Louise
also has a par�cular interest in educa�ng students about how to be responsible for their
own health and well-being, teaching them more about nutri�on.

Elicia-Rose Ringshaw - Has been dancing since 2003, aged 2 and has completed most of her
exams in Ballet, Tap and Modern (now Intermediate Ballet/Tap Grades) and has obtained
her student teachers qualifica�on in ballet. Elicia is a part of Urban Strides Senior Crew,
since joining the crew in 2015 she has now performed in front of over 500,000 people on 2
UK arena tours,! Elicia also has a Level 4 teaching qualifica�on in Street dance as of July
2019. From September onwards Elicia will be teaching Intermediate, Junior and Adult
classes!

Kate Holcombe - Born in South Africa, Kate's passion for dancing started at age six. She
went on to a�ain her ballet cer�ficates from The Royal Academy of Dance and completed
her tap/modern dance exams from the Associa�on of Interna�onal Dance. Kate started her
professional dance career with Guild Theatre Dance Company as a full-�me member when
she was 18. She joined Chameleon Theatre Arts shortly a�er arriving in the UK in 2006 and
has been teaching with us since 2018.

Bianca Benne� - A trainee teacher and student of chameleon theatre arts since 1997.
Bianca has completed her one-year business administra�on appren�ceship with chamele-
on theatre arts at the end of 2015. Bianca is training towards comple�ng her AAD teaching
qualifica�ons in ballet, tap and modern and is currently teaching primary student’s classes.
With a good knowledge of the background of the school and its teaching standards, Bianca
is a valued student teacher of the school.

Emma Tiffin – Emma started dancing at age 2 and was an original student of the Jackie Cox
Theatre Dance school, during which �me she completed her ballet, tap and modern
examina�ons for the AAD. A�er finishing school, Emma joined Masters Performing Arts
College as a student in 2003 for her first year diploma in Dance and Musical Theatre. She
then went on to audi�on for a place at the Performers Dance & Theatre College, Emma
trained in I.S.T.D Ballet & Tap throughout the 3 year programme.

Jayne Mason - Miss Jayne has danced since she was 3 years old and has trained in ballet,
tap, modern, disco, ballroom and la�n American. She is a qualified student teacher with
the Associa�on of American Dancing. She has danced at Chameleon Theatre Arts for many
years and from September onwards Miss Jayne will be teaching our Seniors age 15+.

Claire West - Teacher of Chameleon Theatre Arts since 2007. An original student of the
Jackie Cox Theatre Arts School and trained with Louise Steers, then returned to complete
her teaching exams with the Associa�on of American dancing when Louise took over the
school in 2005. Claire teaches Primary and Junior, Adult students in Ballet, Tap, Modern,
Musical Theatre and Adults.

The future of chameleon theatre arts

Next year we are hoping to take a troupe of dancers to perform at Disneyland Paris, we
have been given this amazing opportunity and will only be selec�ng the very best!

NEW PAYMENT SYSTEM

As of September 2019 we are se�ng up a new payment system called GO CARDLESS
this is a direct debit system which will make paying for classes/dancewear etc easier
which in turn gives us more �me to invest in fun stuff and making your lessons even
higher quality. ALL students must be on the new system by the week beginning 23rd
September, to set up your direct debit please click the link emailed to you and fill out
your details. There will be a small price increase of classes as of September, this will be
the first price increase since 2013! Please also note that our previous payment system
was standing order this is NOT a direct debit.

I'd like to thank everyone who has been involved with the running of this years show 'A Dream is A
Wish the Dance Makes' and to the students and their families without whom we wouldn't have a show!

Special thanks go to Bianca Benne�, Claire West, Elicia Ringshaw, Elle Lee, Emma Tiffin, Kate Holcombe,
Jayne Mason, Leanne Jackson & Tara King for doing a wonderful job of teaching and con�nuing to
inspire the students to progress and grow in confidence, also for the other work they put in to the
everyday running of the school. Thank you to my to my student helpers, Natasha Hildrew, Olivia
O’Donoghue, Courtney Drew, Caitlin Mantle, Holly Billton, India Robson, Olivia O’Connell, Rileigh
Marvell and also Rosa Horrocks our new Saturday recep�onist.

A huge thank you to Denise Smith, our Finance Manager, who is currently working hard on the transi-
�on between systems and making our payments system easier to manage for students and us teachers,
so that we can spend more �me improving the quality of our classes.

Thank you to Kate Holcombe for being Backstage Manager this year and for her brilliant organisa�onal
skills, also to ALL the chaperones who have volunteered their services to help with students backstage
with quick changes, ge�ng children to and from dressing rooms and doing hair etc. Thank you also to
Natalie (our business coach from Ac�onCoach) for your constant support and for spending the whole
weekend with us chaperoning backstage! Thank you to Ka�e Vale for stage prompts. Thank you to Sue
Hill for running the Chameleon Gi� shop over the weekend of the show. Thank you to all the dads who
have offered to help as ushers for show.

Thank you to Sue Vale who has performed miracles with the dressmaking we’ve given her to do
including remaking a whole tutu! Thank you to Charlo�e Leve� for the beau�ful portrait photographs
of students (and to her mum Anne Collins for her help with this also). Thank you to DE photography for
the theatre photography and to Lee at Dance Vision U.K. for videography.

I'd also like to thank family and friends, whose support means that we can con�nue to improve our
school and the services we provide. These people are my Dad and brothers who are there no ma�er
what and look a�er my children when I am teaching/working, Robyn Graham, my friend and life coach
whose support and guidance means more than she can ever imagine. Thank you to my 3 wonderful
children Elicia, Madison and Amber who have always spent hours at the school when they were
younger and have seen all of the blood, sweat & tears put in to get the school to where it is now. It
hasn’t always been easy for them but they all love it as much as I do! Elicia (now aged 18) has followed
in my footsteps and carried on family tradi�on. She has now completed her first teaching exams with
the AAD and her final Level 4 Street Teaching qualifica�on with Urban Strides (under Rock School) and
for this I couldn’t be prouder!

programme and for giving us such good service!
