เคบายา (kebaya) ชุดพื้นเมืองสตรีภาคใต้ ได้ขึ้น ทะเบียนเป็นมรดกวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ จึงได้ นำมาเป็นแรงบันดาลใจ จุดตั้งต้นของงานออกแบบ ในครั้งนี้ใช้ keyword คำ ว่า “Connect” มาใช้ เป็นแนวทางในการออกแบบ สื่อถึงความเชื่อมโยง ระหว่างสิ่งที่แตกต่างกัน ตรงข้ามกัน อดีตกับปัจจุบัน ความโบราณกับความร่วมสมัย ความสวยงามกับ ความแข็งแกร่ง ความสมมาตรและความไม่สมมาตร ความเรียบง่ายและความมีรายละเอียด ใช้เทคนิค งานช่างสมัยโบราณในการถักห่วงโลหะ (chainmail) แผ่นทองเหลืองจากวัสดุเหลือใช้ในการผลิต ลาย หกเหลี่ยมและดาวหกแฉก จากนั้นนำ ไปลงยาสี ทำ ให้ผลงานในครั้งนี้สื่อถึงอัตลักษณ์ ความเป็น บาบ๋าของคนพื้นถิ่นอันดามันได้อย่างครบถ้วน CONNECT Peranakan De Siam พิสุทธิ์ อัจฉริยาภิมุก Contact : Pisut Aachariyapimuk 7/2, Soi Kritsana Uthit Rd., Thai Chang, Muang Phang Nga, Phangnga, 82000 Tel. 061 919 0704 Having been jointly nominated by several countries for the 2023 Intangible Cultural Heritage List of UNESCO, kebaya is the source of inspiration for this collection, using the key word “connect” as a central design concept (past & present, traditional & contemporary, delicacy & strength, symmetrical & asymmetrical, simplicity & detail). The traditional Peranakan craft technique of chainmail is used in this collection to reflect Peranakanism. The brass plate is cut into a square with a hidden hexagon pattern of the Star of David, which is a symbol of good luck according to Peranakan beliefs, and then colored with enamel in the unique Kebaya style. Some brass sheets are also perforated with lace patterns and enameled like Peranakan porcelain, using 3 enamel colors on the surface, perfectly representing the Peranakan Andaman identity.

In her memory, the designer participates in the 10th Lunar Month Merit Festival every year (during the 1st day of the waning moon to the 15th day of the waxing moon in the 10th lunar month). The 10th Lunar Month Merit Festival is the most important annual Buddhist event in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, also for all Buddhists in the southern part of Thailand. His best wishes and remembrance of the mother inspired the concept design of the Buddha Hand, representing respect, mercy and giving. This gave rise to the openable silver lockets and pendants with space inside to hold mementos such as a picture of the mother, a picture of mother with you in her arms, or piece of mother’s clothes.

The image of the rock below and above the water makes the viewer touch nature, feel relaxed, fresh and healed.

Its multicolored and surrounding sea anemones are as breathtakingly picturesque as a field of flowers under the sea, shading the rainbow hue from dark to light pink, purple, red, yellow, orange and blue, like a living fabric swaying gracefully, giving the viewer a sense of relaxation. Colors and movement are used as design inspiration by the natural shapes and colors of coral with a decoration of standard rounded pearls and free-form baroque. In addition, the beads with rare colors have been specially selected for these three works of art in this collection to give them a unique identity.

This dialect is used less and less nowadays, so the designer wanted to use the dialect of his hometown for hisdesig ideas, especially some words that are a homophone of the central standard language, such as. “khong jai,” which means “take care” of yourself” in the southern dialect but means “doubt” in central standard Thai; “kalakkaluy” means “plenty”; “roy” sounds similar to “a-roy” or “delicious” in central standard Thai; and the southern term “ya ruang” (cashew nut) is a homophone of the central language phrase “Don’t fall down.”.

The decorative accessories were designed to be worn on the edge of the body. The scarf clip is designed to be attached horizontally to the shoulder bones so that the tied batik scarf flows along the body. The earrings were also designed to match the edges of the ears, like the rhythm of wave reflection, and nail andfinger accessories that reflect the rhythm of light shading on the edge of the pine nuts.
