Elementary School Assistant Principal’s Message
With what was truly a unique year to look back on, what I will remember is how we despite
everything happening in the world, stood by our mission. We strove to provide quality
education to all our students and complete yet another successful academic year. I
would like to start off by thanking the teachers and our beloved students for adhering
to their assigned duties and working with integrity. We stood together, stronger in the
service of our mission, to inspire innovation and compassionate action. As Muhammad
Ali once said, “Don’t count the days, make the days count.” I truly believe our staff and
students followed this mindset throughout the course of our regular online classes.
I definitely appreciate the parents of elementary school for motivating and caring for
our young pupils especially during the pandemic and for accommodating to their every
need.
To give our students the best learning opportunities even during Covid 19, we strived to
offer an environment that favored their needs. This sort of environment was facilitated
only because of the team effort and an inherent work ethic from our staff. As a result
of this, I am certain we have accomplished all the goals that was set ahead for our
academic year.
I would like to appreciate the diligence and dedication of Ms. Nimmya Balakrishnan who put together this yearbook and Ms. Shilpa
Suresh who helped with the groundwork. Without all our amazing staff members, I do not think we would have accomplished as
much as we did this year.
Besides all the joyous triumphs and achievements we have had, we have to say goodbye to many of our staff members who
have stayed with us throughout their tenure without holding back. Their dedication and perseverance has allowed our school to
exponentially grow as a haven for bona fide education. These teachers will forever remain in our hearts and will be greatly missed.
To conclude this message, I would like to wish the entire elementary family a wonderful and safe summer vacation. Although this is
an unconventional approach to end the year, I hope that looking through this elegant yearbook brings joy in your heart and memories
to your mind. I eagerly look forward to welcome you back to a bright new academic year this fall. Until then, stay safe and stay
blessed.

Middle School Assistant Principal’s Message
As I write this message, which is essentially a reflection of our year when the going gets

A special word of thanks to Mrs. Lidel Souza for the mammoth task
in preparing the yearbook, especially after we made the late decision
to switch to the digital format.
We do not know, as yet, whether we will begin the new school year
on site, virtually, or as a hybrid model, as this decision will only be
made known closer to the start of the new school year- everything
being dependent on the impact that Covid-19 continues to have, both
locally and globally. Whichever method we do employ, I am confident
that the ISG Dammam community will pull together to ensure that we
provide the most meaningful learning for our students.
Until we meet again, stay safe, and keep practicing social distancing
and good hygiene.

Elementary School Counselor
The elementary school years set the foundation for developing the knowledge,
attitudes and skills necessary for children to become healthy, competent and confident
learners. Empowering children and aiding them in the process of making positive
decisions that leads them to live healthy and meaningful lives, is the fundamental
goal of the counseling program.
In life, we may encounter challenging and stressful situations. The COVID-19
pandemic is one such example. School closures, physical distancing, has been
difficult for everyone, especially young children. Over the past months, the teachers
and I have focused on supporting the well-being of the students and promoting the
importance of coping, gratitude, relationships, taking care of yourselves and above
all, hope. Together, these themes have led us to build and support resilience, as these
difficult times offer us an opportunity to strengthen our resilience and pay greater
attention to our children’s well-being.

Zooming in to Stay Connected
The past few months have been a rollercoaster ride for students, as well as the faculty
and staff, worldwide. Living in these challenging times is far more demanding. Our
hearts are full of stories of feeling high and low, experiencing the ups and downs, and
we are bursting to share the lessons that we learned on the way on this bumpy ride.
Similar to the majority of the world, ISG Dammam took the initiative to remain in
contact with our community by holding Zoom meetings. The initial inhibitions were
soon forgotten as, with each passing day, we enhanced our technical skills. As time
rolled by, the weekly grade level meetings with the councilor became more interesting.
At times, one would wonder whether we were zooming in to meet and remain
connected, or zooming into the hearts of our middle school students to understand
their feelings, their emotions, their concerns that were being echoed globally. Suddenly,
these young minds were capable of contemplating and conceiving so much more
than they exhibited while they were in “normal school”. They were surpassing various
levels of understanding, and it seemed as if they were walking on different terrain
altogether - a remarkable transition, in such a short space of time. A different wave
of commitment and collaboration was being displayed. Students learned to navigate
their experiences as virtual learners, in spite of all the odds, and learned to see the
positives by continuing to build an attitude of gratitude.
I would like to thank the entire ISG family for sticking together in these historic times.
We had a deep connection, as we were in this altogether. We are all inspirational in our
own way. As we look forward to better times, we know deep inside our hearts that the
adaptive attitude that we were all able to build has embedded into the hearts of each
one of us that resilience and perseverance are keys to success in any circumstance.
