Warm Up

Two laps around the gym (full court)

Stretches (12 secs each)

Arm Stretches

● Arm circles forward
● Arm circles backwards
● Left arm across chest
● Right arm across chest

Leg Stretches

● Stretch down (feet together)
● Stretch down (right leg )
● Stretch down ( left leg )

Garbage Ball

Instructions : Students will split into two equal teams with a centerline between them. Each team will be given the same amount
of items (balls) on their side. At the signal each team will try to throw whatever they can to the other side of the line and at the
signal to stop the team with the least amount balls on their side wins .

Objective: To have the least amount of balls on your designated team side

Equipment: Balls

Space Requirement : Full court

Time Requirement : 5 minutes

Safety Tips: Players should make sure to avoid hitting anyone with the balls.

Giants, Elves and Wizards

Instructions: This is game is similar to “rock , paper, scissors” , however with giants , eleves , and wizards. The rules are: giants beat wizards,
wizards beat elves, and elves beat giants. Players will be divided into two different teams , and team members will consult with each other to
determine what their character will be. Once they have decided , everyone will come to the center of the court and count to three and they all will
do their action . The losing team will run back to their side of the court and the winning team will try to tag them . Whoever is tagged joins the
other team for the next round and the cycle repeats

Objective: To pick the dominating character

Equipment: no equipment needed

Key Skills: Teamwork and recognition

Space Requirement: Full Court

Time Requirement: 10 minutes
Safety Tips: Players should avoid in tagging each other too aggressively

The Floor is Lava!

Instructions: Students will walk around the court with excretion of one chosen leader.. During this time hula hoops will be distributed around the
court. When the leader yells out ,”The Floor is Lava”, students will then run to a hula hoop to escape the lava . Each hula hoop can only hold one
person. Therefore if all hoola hoops are all taken you are out. This may or may not can be played with multiple rounds.

Objective: To escape the lava by getting to a hula hoop first to be safe

Equipment: Hula Hoops

Key Skills: Quickness and listening skills

Space Requirement: Full Court

Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: To avoid slipping on the hula hoops.

Tug of War

Instructions: A rope will will be laid on the ground in a straight line. Students will then divide in two equal teams on go on seperate sides of a rope
and must pull majority of the rope over to one side to win.
Objective: To work as a team to pull the most of the rope on your team side
Equipment: A rope and flag
Key Skills: Teamwork and Strength
Space Requirement: Full Court
Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: Players should avoid getting any rope burns

Stuck in the Mud

Instructions: Two players will be chosen to tag other players , once tag the players must stay in the place they were tagged in. To get free, they
must stand with their legs apart until someone crawls through and releases them.

Objective: To not get tagged and help those who have been tagged.

Equipment: no equipment

Key Skills: Teamwork and agility

Space Requirement: Full Court

Time Requirement: 10 minutes
Safety Tips: Taggers should make sure not to hit aggressively when tagging the other players

Blinded Four Corners

Instructions: One player will be selected to close their eyes and placed in the center of the court. Once that player is in position the other players
must stand in one of the four corners within 10 seconds. After the 10 seconds the one player in the middle will call out a number ,the players in
that selected square will now be out.

Objective: To choose the corner you feel will not be picked.

Equipment: Cones

Key Skills: Time awareness and listening skills

Space Requirement: Half Court

Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: Make sure to avoid the cones and bump into other players .

Captains Coming

Instructions: One person is captain and calls actions and dismisses players who don't do the actions quickly or are out of character.
Hit the deck = lay on your stomach
Love Boat = Have to find a partner to pair up with
Captains Coming =stand at attention and salute

Objective: To follow the directions directed by the designated captain
Equipment: no equipment
Key Skills: Listening skills
Space Requirement: Half Court
Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: To remember to not do anything that's too strenuous

Grapevine

Instructions: Players will sit in a large circle .One Player will start a message by whispering a thaat message into the ear of the person sitting to the
right of them .The message should only be whispered one . The new messenger will then whisper the message into the ear to the one to their right
,and so on and so on. When the message reaches the last person , that person will announce the message out loud to see if the message is still the
same.

Objective: To listen clearly for the message and relay it to the next person

Equipment: no equipment needed

Key Skills: Listening skills

Space Requirement: Half Court

Time Requirement: 3 minutes
Safety Tips:Players should not horse play and yell in someone's ear

Duck, Duck, Goose !

Instructions: All the players, except the first person who is It, sit in a circle. It walks around the circle, tapping each player on the head, saying
“duck” each time until he decides to tap someone and say “goose.” That person becomes the goose and runs after It, trying to tag him before It can
take his seat.

Objective:

Equipment: no equipment needed

Space Requirement: Half Court

Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: Players should make sure to keep all hands inside the circle to avoid being stepped on.

Spin and Run

Instructions: Students will split up in two teams. When the call is made students will go one by one in their group and hold a bat in the air looking
at the top of it keeping your eye at the top and spin in circle 10 times and once done students will then try to go through a obstacle course to get to
the finish line.

Objective: To have all team members complete the obstacle course by crossing the finish line

Equipment: Cones and two bats

Key Skills: Eye coordination , Focusing skills , Balance

Space Requirement: Full Court

Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: Players should make sure to avoid the cones when racing to the finish line.

Find your friend

Instructions: Players will be given a name and must find their match by whispering in their ear while standing in a circle they can only move side to
side by that circle , if you find your match you move to the middle
Objective: To find your match first
Equipment: no equipment needed
Key Skills: Listening Skills
Space Requirement: Half Court
Time Requirement: 10 minutes
Safety Tips: Players should not horse play and yell in someone's ear

Protect the Penguin

Instructions: Each player will be given a bowling pin to set up around the gym and foam balls will be placed across the gym floor. Each person
must protect their pin and try to knock down other players pins. If your pin is knocked out then you out. As more people get out players will move
closer together until only one is left standing.

Objective: To be the last standing pin

Equipment: Bowling pins and foam balls

Key Skills: Awareness

Space Requirement: Half Court

Time Requirement: 5 minutes
Safety Tips: Players should avoid getting hit by the balls being thrown.
