Boilermakers,

Season’s greetings! It has been a very busy semester but we have had some
great successes. Make sure to check out the tournament recaps to read
about career high performances from your Boilermakers. On another note, it
was nice to see many of you at our annual Alumni Day during Purdue
Homecoming weekend. If you missed the event and are a current JPC/
Varsity P member, we would like to send you a Purdue Men’s Tennis Alumni
polo shirt. To receive one, simply send me your size. If you are not a current

Boilermaker Men’s Tennis

As a team we take pride in our community outreach and
promoting tennis in the Greater Lafayette area. This fall we
hosted over 100 participants during our free tennis clinics
for kids and adults. Make sure to follow our promotion
schedule during the spring season for an announcement
about our next events. We will start first thing in January!

Boilermaker Men’s Tennis

Since 2010 our team has experienced tremendous success on and off the court. The team has received 23 national academic honors
as well as 23 conference academic selections. Additionally we have earned the Purdue's Provost Award for the most improved GPA as
a team and the President’s Cup for the team with the highest GPA in the department. On the court we have reached our highest
national ranking in program history and have a 75% home court winning ratio since the 2013 season.

Academic All-Big Ten Selections.
To be eligible for this distinction, student-athletes must be letterwinners who are in at least their second academic year at their
institution and carry a cumulative grade point average of
3.0 or higher.

ITA All-Academic Team Awards. 22015
To receive this award a program has to have a grade point
average of 3.20 or above (on a 4.00 scale). All varsity
letterwinners are calculated into the cumulative team GPA. We
have earned this status 6 times in the program history.

ITA Scholar-Athlete Selections. Matt and Lucas are the 11th and 12th student-athletes in program history to
In order to earn this status a player must meet the following earn the accolade

criteria: 1) be a varsity letter winner, 2) have a grade point
average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current
academic year, and 3) have been enrolled at their present school
for at least 2 semesters (including freshman through senior year).

All-Big Ten Selections & Post Season Team Appearances
This includes a NCAA tournament selection in 2014 and five Big Ten Tournament appearances

Big Ten Singles Champion, ITA Rookie Player of the Year for Ohio Valley Region, National Rookie Player of the
Year Finalist

Ricky Medinilla went 4-1 at
the All-American
Championship

and then 5-1 to reach the
semi-finals at the ITA

Regional Championships.

Lucas Dages shined in the

Runner-Up in doubles at the
Old Gold & Black Classic.
