PENDIDIKAN MORAL : WADAH PEMBENTUKAN

KEPERIBADIAN MULIA MURID “



Umum mengetahui, Pendidikan Moral merupakan satu mata
pelajaran yang wajib diambil oleh semua pelajar bukan Islam
yang menuntut di sekolah. Namun pun begitu, Pendidikan
Moral sebenarnya boleh diambil oleh sesiapa sahaja kerana
mata pelajaran ini menerapkan penerapan nilai-nilai moral
dalam diri untuk diaplikasikan dalam kehidupan harian
selaras dengan matlamat utama mata pelajaran Pendidikan
Moral membentuk insan berakhlak mulia dan berintegriti. Saya
sebagai guru Pendidikan Moral yang juga merupakan graduan
Ijazah Sarjana Muda Pendidikan (Pendidikan Moral) di
Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris bertanggungjawab
menyampaikan pengetahuan dan membentuk jati diri moral
pelajar melalui kaedah

pembelajaran dan pengajaran Pendidikan Moral di sekolah. Pemupukan nilai moral dalam
kalangan pelajar amat penting bagi membentuk insan bermoral agar dapat mempratikkan
amalan bermoral yang diterima oleh masyarakat. Guru memainkan peranan penting dalam
memanusiakan seorang manusia. Wajarlah mata pelajaran Pendidikan Moral menjadi
penghubung kepada guru terhadap pelajar untuk membentuk keperibadian mulia yang mampu
menjadi suri teladan yang baik sama ada dalam sekolah mahupun dalam kalangan masyarakat.
Bukan itu sahaja, keperibadian mulia dapat dibentuk melalui amalan dalam kehidupan seharian
agar menjadi tabiat untuk menjadi insan yang bermoral.


Saya percaya keperibadian mulia dapat dibentuk bukan hanya di sekolah semata-mata
malah perlu dididik dan dibimbing dari rumah oleh ibu bapa. Lantaran itu, untuk menerapkan
amalan bermoral dalam kalangan pelajar di sekolah, aktiviti dalam pengajaran Pendidikan
Moral turut membantu para pelajar untuk berfikir dan menyelesaikan sesuatu masalah dengan
membuat keputusan secara rasional. Penglibatan pelajar dalam melaksanakan aktiviti semasa
proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran dilihat sebagai satu alternatif untuk mendorong pelajar
membuat pertimbangan moral dengan bijak. Hal ini kerana aktiviti dalam pengajaran dan
pembelajaran menggalakkan pelajar untuk berkomunikasi dan berkolaboratif antara satu sama
lain dengan menyatakan pendapat masing-masing terhadap sesuatu tugasan atau dalam
menyempurnakan aktiviti yang dijalankan. Semasa saya menuntut di Universiti, kami didedahkan

dengan pelbagai kaedah pengajaran untuk menggalakkan minat para pelajar terhadap mata
pelajaran Pendidikan Moral yang sering dikatakan bosan disebabkan guru menggunakan kaedah
‘Chalk and Talk’ semasa proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, Dr Nadarajan A/L
Thambu menggalakkan kami untuk melaksanakan proses pengajaran Pendidikan Moral melalui
pembelajaran abad ke-21 agar dapat diaplikasikan di sekolah. Selain itu, guru perlu menerapkan
tiga dimensi moral iaitu penaakulan moral, emosi moral dan perlakuan moral dalam proses
pengajaran dan pembelajaran agar para pelajar berupaya menyelesaikan isu dilema moral dan
dapat membuat pertimbangan moral. Guru perlu menyesuaikan kaedah pengajaran dan
pembelajaran dengan tahap penguasaan pelajar agar semua pelajar dapat melibatkan diri secara
aktif dalam kelas.

Selain daripada aktiviti dan kaedah pengajaran yang menarik perhatian pelajar, penilaian
dan pentaksiran terhadap pelajar perlu dilakukan agar guru dapat mengetahui kaedah pengajaran
yang disampaikan bersesuaian atau tidak. Guru boleh membuat pelbagai bentuk penilaian untuk
menguji pemahaman pelajar bagi setiap unit pembelajaran sebagai salah satu starategi untuk
menggalakkan pelajar menyertai secara aktif dalam proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran. Hal ini
supaya guru dapat mengukur dan mentaksir pelajar untuk memastikan pelajar dapat
mengaplikasikan apa yang telah disampaikan oleh guru dapat diterima ataupun tidak demi
membentuk insan bermoral. Malah dengan menjawab soalan secara lisan mahupun bertulis (esei)
berupaya mengukur tahap kefahaman pelajar dengan mengaplikasikan kemahiran berfikir secara
kreatif dan kritis.


Melalui pembelajaran semasa menuntut ilmu di Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris dapat membantu
semua guru Pendidikan Moral mengaplikasikan apa yang telah diajar oleh pensyarah di sekolah
untuk memanusiakan seorang manusia yang bermoral dan berpegang teguh pada prinsip-prinsip
moral. Bukan mudah sebenarnya tugas seorang guru Pendidikan Moral membentuk akhlak pelajar
yang baik, namun saya percaya setiap guru mempunyai kaedah sendiri untuk membentuk
keperibadian yang baik dalam diri pelajar.

FAKULTI SAINS KEMANUSIAAN MELEBARKAN SAYAP
KERJASAMANYA BERSAMA UNIVERSITY OF SARAJEVO,
BOSNIA












































Fakulti Sains Kemanusiaan telah melebarkan sayap kolaborasinya bersama salah sebuah
Universiti di Bosnia iaitu Institut of History, University of Sarajevo. Hubungan kerjasama

ini telah dimeterai melalui Surat Niat (LoI) bersama University Sarajevo secara pos. LoI ini
telah ditandatangani oleh kedua-dua pihak pada 06 Disember 2022.

Skop utama kerjasama yang bakal dijalankan adalah penyelidikan dan kerjasama
akademik. Diharap pelbagai aktiviti kerjasama dapat dijalankan dan FSK akan terus
mencipta nama dan dikenali di peringkat antarabangsa.

Tanggal 30 Januari 2023 Fakulti Sains
Kemanusiaan terus mengembangkan jaringan
kolaborasi bersama negara jiran Indonesia
dalam skop kerjasama akademik dan
penyelidikan.

Kedua-dua institusi telah bersetuju untuk
menjalinkan kerjasama dalam pelbagai program
akademik dan penyelidikan antaranya program
pertukaran pelajar, program pensyarah pelawat,
penyelidikan dan penerbitan bersama, sesi
perkongsian ilmu menerusi penganjuran webinar
bersama, kerjasama dalam penganjuran
program khidmat komuniti dan pertukaran
budaya serta lain-lain aktiviti yang berkaitan.

Dokumen LoI ini telah ditandatangai oleh
YBrs. Prof Madya Ts Dr. Nor Kalsum Mohd Isa,
Dekan, FSK manakala Dr. Darliana Sormin, MA,
Dekan Fakultas Agama Islam mewakili Universiti
Muhammadiyah Tapanuli Selatan. Majlis telah

ASSOC. PROF. TS. DR. NOR KALSUM MOHD ISA ([email protected])

Assoc. Prof. Ts. Dr. Nor Kalsum Binti Mohd Isa is a lecturer from the Department of Geography and
Environment at Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI). She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Project
Management from the University of Malaya, which she earned in 2015. Prior to that, she obtained a
Master's degree in project managementfrom the Universityof Northumbria in Newcastle,United Kingdom,
in 2006. In 2000, she completed her bachelor's degree with honours in urban and regional planning from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. She
is a professional member of the Malaysia Board of Technologists, a member of the Board of Town Planners, and an academic member of the
Malaysia Green Building Confederation. Prior to joining UPSI, she worked as a town planner at Putrajaya Corporation and various town
planning firms. Dr. Nor Kalsum specialises in sustainable project planning and management, as well as the development of green and low-
carbon cities. She is passionate about innovative teaching and learning methods, particularly the application of participatory learning
approaches such as project-based,challenge-based,and flipped learning in her teaching.
Dr. Nor Kalsum has an extensive research background and has made significant contributions in her field. She has published
several papers and articles, supervised research projects, provided consultation, and received recognition for her work. Some notable
projects she has led include "Developing a Framework of Low Carbon Tourism in the Accommodation Sector of Island Destinations for
Mitigating Climate Change", "Improving Energy Saving Attitude and Behaviour Among Malaysians Using the Norm Activation Model," and "A
New Method to Encourage the Implementation of Green Building Development Among Developers in Malaysia." She has also been involved
in research related to flipped learning, low-carbon tourism, community engagement, and sustainable campus practises. She has led several
notable consultancy projects, including preparing a Low Carbon Cities Action Plan for Kajang Municipal Council and a Knowledge Transfer
Project on the Application of the Green Building Principles in Urban Planning Through an Integrated Design Process for a Green and
Sustainable Urban Development for AHA Planning Consultants Sdn Bhd. Dr. Nor Kalsum's dedication to her profession and her commitment to
advancing sustainable practises have earned her recognition from the Ministry of Higher Education. She continues to make valuable
contributions to the field of sustainable project planningand management, with a focus on creating a greenerand more sustainable future.



ASSOC. PROF. DR. FAUZIAH CHE LEH ([email protected])

Associate Professor Dr. Fauziah Binti Che Leh is a distinguished academic and researcher specializing in
Geography. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Geographical Services from Universiti Sains
Malaysia, which she earned in 2005. Prior to that, she completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in
Geography from the same university in 2001. In 1999, she obtained her Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with
Honors in Geographyfrom UniversitiSains Malaysia.Dr. Fauziah's researchinterestsfocus on various
aspects of geography, including urban development, heritage tourism, recreational parks, and the relationship between universities and
industries in local economic development. She has led and participated in numerous research projects, making significant contributions to her

DR. KAMARUL ISMAIL ([email protected])

Dr. Kamarul Bin Ismail is a highly accomplished scholar in the field of geodemography. He holds a Doctor of
Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Geodemography from Universiti Sains Malaysia, which he obtained in 2014.
Prior to that, he completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Geography with Second Class Honors
(Geography) from UniversitiSains Malaysia in 2003. In 1998, he earned his Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree
with Second Class Honors (Upper Division) in Geography from Universiti Malaya. Dr. Kamarul's research interests primarily revolve around
geodemography, disaster management, and the application of social media in early warning systems. He has led numerous research projects
and actively contributed to his field. Notable projects that he has spearheaded include "Aplikasi Media Sosial Sebagai Sistem Amaran Awal
Bencana Banjir Kepada Penduduk Dalam Lembangan Sungai Kelantan" and "Pembangunan Sistem Pengkelasan Geodemografi: Kajian Kes Di
Negeri Perak." His research also encompasses topics such as disaster assistance management, virtual reality in secondary school curricula,
and the physicalcharacteristics and geomorphology of the Behrang PermanentForest Reserve.

research teams. With his expertise in geodemography and disaster management, Dr. Kamarul has made valuable contributions to the
understanding and development of early warning systems for flood disasters in Malaysia. He is also dedicated to exploring innovative
approaches to incorporate virtual reality into the secondary school curriculum. His work demonstrates a commitment to advancing knowledge
and promoting sustainable development practices in Malaysia.



DR. ZURIATUNFADZLIAH SAHDAN ([email protected])

Dr. Zuriatunfadzliah binti Sahdan is a distinguished lecturer specializing in the field of human geography.
With her academic qualifications and research experiences, she has established herself as a scholar in her
field, particularly in understanding the dynamics of social phenomena within geographical contexts. Her
research focuses on postcolonialism, space and cultures of domestic violence in Malaysia, using
participatorymethods and storytelling. She co-authored Trauma, Gender and Space: Insightsfrom
Bangladesh, Malaysia and the UK (2020) appeared in Routledge Handbook of Gender and Feminist Geographies. Some of her recent works
include Demonic Possession: Narratives of Domestic Abuse and Trauma in Malaysia published in Transactions of the Institute of British
Geographers and a book chapter on Recognising and Addressing Secondary Trauma: Stories from the Field published in Palgrave Handbook
of Social Fieldwork.
Dr. Zuriatunfadzliah pursued her master's degree in Social Sciences from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2012. Driven by her
commitment to advancing knowledge in her field, Dr. Zuriatunfadziah went on to pursue her Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in social
geography. In 2019, she successfully obtained her doctoral degree from Durham University in the United Kingdom. Her doctoral research
delved into the spatial and cultural experience of domestic violence in Malaysia through the use od Participatory Action Research approach
in qualitative. She is actively engaged in various research projects, showcasing her dedication to addressing social and cultural challenges. As
a leader, she is currently spearheading a project initiated by the Ministry of Higher Education that aims to theorize the geographies of
domestic violence journeys in Malaysia using geo-narratives. This research highlights her commitment to understanding and addressing the
complexitiesof domestic violence in the Malaysian context.

Dr. Mohammad Zohir bin Ahmad @ Shaari is a highly esteemed educational consultant, renowned for his

has made significant contributions to the advancement of teaching and learning practices. Dr. Mohammad
Zohir began his educational journey by obtaininghis Certificate in Education from Maktab Perguruan Sultan

embark on a career in teaching. Driven by his passion for geography and education, Dr. Mohammad Zohir pursued his Bachelor's degree in

MR. AZMI AHMAD BAHAROM ([email protected])
Mr. Azmi bin Ahmad Baharom is a dedicated geographer with a passion for exploring the physical and
cultural landscapes. With a strong educational background and a wealth of research experience, he has
contributed significantly to the field of geography. In 1986, Mr. Azmi completed his Bachelor of Science
degree in Geography and Geology from Northwest Missouri State University. His undergraduate studies
providedhim with a solid foundation in the understanding of geographical processes and the Earth’s physical
features. Building upon his undergraduate education, Mr. Azmi pursued further academic qualifications. In 1995, he obtained a Master of Arts
degree in Geography from a university in Maryland. This advanced degree allowed him to delve deeper into the complexities of the discipline and
develop his research skills. Throughout his career, Mr. Azmi has actively engaged in various research projects, focusing on the physical and
cultural landscapes of different regions. He has collaborated with government agencies and academic institutions to investigate important
geographical phenomena and contribute to the body of knowledge in his field. One of his notable research projects, completed under his
leadership at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, analyzed the physical and cultural landscape changes in the Hulu Selangor district. This research
provided valuable insights into the impact of human activities on the region's landscape and cultural heritage. Additionally, Mr. Azmi has been
involved as a member in several research projects, including an investigation on wealth generation potential from river sand resources in
Selangor, an evaluation of the historical routes of old railways in Perak, and an analysis of land use changes in the Kinta Valley over a significant
period. These projects highlight his diverse research interests and his commitment to understanding the interactions between humans and the
environment. Mr. Azmi has also contributed to studies on traditional shop-house designs and decorations in selected towns across the Peninsular
Malaysia, the characteristics of weather and water quality in the Behrang Forest Reserve in Perak, and the application of Geographic Information
Systems (GIS) in education, specifically developing a GIS@School model in Tanjong Malim. His research contributions have been recognized, and
