เชิงบอกเล่า ประธาน + กริยาช่องที่ 1 เติม (s)

เมือ่ ประธานมีเพียง 1 ทีเ่ รากล่าวถึง
หลงั คากริยาจะต้องเติม s

ตวั อย่าง : 1. I go to school by car. (ฉนั ไปโรงเรียนโดยรถยนต์)

4. Somsri and Somsak study English every day. (สมศรีและสมศกั ดิ์เรียนภาษาอังกฤษทุกวนั )

ประโยค Present Simple Tense ใช้ Verb to do ซ่ึงมี do กับ does มาทา
เชิงปฏเิ สธ ให้เป็นประโยคปฏิเสธ

do ใช้กับประธานทีม่ ีมากกวา่ 1 และ I กับ you
does ใช้กบั ประธานที่มีเพียง 1

โครงสร้าง :
Subject + do / does + not + Verb 1

ประธาน + do / does + not + กริยาช่องที่1

ตัวอย่าง : 1. I do not (don’t) go to school by car. (ฉนั ไม่ไปโรงเรียนโดยรถยนต์)

หลักกำรใช้ Present Simple Tense

ใชก้ ับเหตุการณ์หรอื การกระทาทีเ่ ปน็ ความจรงิ ตลอดไปหรือเปน็ ความจรงิ ตามธรรมชาติ เช่น

1. The sun rises in the east. (พระอาทิตย์ขึน้ ทางทิศตะวันออก)
2. Fire is hot. (ไฟร้อน)
3. Tiger is a dangerous animal.
4. The earth moves around the sun.

ใชก้ ับการกระทาทีก่ ระทาอยู่จนเปน็ นิสัย มักจะมีกลุ่มคาที่มีความหมายว่า เสมอๆ บ่อยๆ ทุกๆ อยดู่ ้วย
เช่น

1. I get up at six o’clock every day. (ฉนั ตื่นนอนเวลา 6 นาฬิกาทกุ วัน)
2. He plays football every day. (เขาเล่นฟุตบอลทกุ วนั )

หลักกำรเติม s ที่คำกริยำ

1. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย s, ss, sh, ch, o, หรือ x ใหเ้ ติม e ก่อนแล้วจึงเติม s เช่น

pass - passes = ผ่าน brush - brushes = แปรงฟัน

catch - catches = จบั go - goes = ไป

box - boxes = ชก ถ้าเป็นคานามจะแปลวา่ ...............

2. กริยาที่ลงท้ายด้วย y และหนา้ y เป็นพยัญชนะ ใหเ้ ปลี่ยน y เปน็ ie แล้วจึงเติม s เช่น

cry - cries = ร้องไห้ fry - fries = ทอด

try - tries = พยายาม

ข้อยกเวน้ ถ้ากริยาน้ันหน้า y เปน็ สระ ใหเ้ ติม s ได้เลย เช่น

play - plays = เล่น stay - stays = พัก

3. กริยาที่นอกเหนอื จากทก่ี ล่าวในข้อ 1 และ ข้อ 2 ใหเ้ ติม s ได้เลย

กระทานั้น ๆ เกิดขนึ้ หรือกระทาบ่อยมากน้อยเพียงใด

Adverb of Frequency เมื่อแบ่งเป็นเปอร์เซน็ ต์สามารถแบ่งได้โดยสงั เขปดังนี้

100% always (เสมอ ๆ)
80% usually (โดยปกติ)
60% often (บ่อย ๆ)
40% sometimes (บางคร้ัง)
20% seldom, rarely (ไม่ค่อยจะ)
0% never (ไม่เคย)

หลกั การใช้ Adverb of

1. ใช้วางข้างหน้าคากรยิ าแท้ของประโยค ตวั อย่างเชน่

He never comes to school late.
The teacher sometimes punishes her student.

2. ใช้วางข้างหลัง verb to be และคากริยาช่วยอื่น ๆ เช่น have, has, had, do, does, did, will, would,
shall, should, can, could, may, might, must เป็นต้น ตัวอย่างเช่น

3. สาหรับ adverb phrase of frequency เช่น every…, once a…, (day, week, month, year
