As a Mummy to two young children myself, I understand how important their rst year can be, which is why I specialise in photographing babies of this age only. From their early weeks, through to their rst birthday, every stage is special and I love nothing more than capturing these moments for families to treasure forever.
My style focuses on your baby with simple styling, fresh, light colours and perfect posing.
I love nothing more than ensuring your baby looks their best. I believe in quality and that’s why I continue to produce images of a high standard and provide a service to match. I source the best props and accessories as well as high end products to show your images off.
I work from a purpose built log cabin at my home. It is warm and cosy, creating a home from home and relaxing experience.

Why book Claire Grant Photography?
As a mum to young children myself I have plenty
of experience handling and photographing babies and your baby’s safety is paramount in everything
I do. I have photographed hundreds of babies,
have trained with the rst and most renowned, newborn photographers in the UK and continue to update my skills regularly to bring you the best. I am also a member of BANPAS and follow their safety guidelines on safe, composite posing.
I strive for perfection in my photography and I’m always looking for the perfect prop, perfect pose, perfect angle and perfect lighting to make sure that every image in your gallery is a work of art that you can’t wait to put up in your home.
I have won some amazing awards over the past 18 months with over 30 bronze and 1 silver award.
I only book one session a day, which allows plenty of time to feed and comfort your baby throughout the shoot. I’m entirely baby-led, they decide the pace of the session. I have had many lovely comments from parents who mention my caring and loving style when working with their little ones.This patience and care is how I create such a varied and beautiful gallery of images.
How long will the shoot take?
Usually between 2-4 hours because we allow
time for baby to be settled and comfortable.
The shortest newborn shoot I’ve ever done was only 1.5 hours! I completely understand that new Mums and Dads are keen to return to the comfort of their routine and I try to gather images for a complete collection as quickly as possible but you should come to the shoot with the mindset that it will take as long as it takes dependant on how baby is that day.
What if baby won’t settle?
I am a baby-led photographer which means that if baby is awake, we will take some gorgeous awake shots and capture that fantastic eye contact of a nosy baby.When they want to sleep I will allow them to be completely comfortable and relax into natural poses. I am experienced enough to handle any given situation and I have never had to ask a client to return.
What will baby wear?
I have a large, hand crafted selection of props for your baby. From out ts to wraps, hats and tasteful accessories I do like to keep things simple though.
I create set ups for your baby based upon colours you tell me you prefer and I create something based upon my own unique ideas. I do not copy the work of others, my images come from my own creativity and things I am inspired by.You are paying for me to style and produce unique work and not a replica of someone else.
When do I need to book?
Most customers book their session before baby arrives, after their 20 week scan. However, I know
life never goes to plan and babies always surprise us! Therefore, I limit how many newborns I take a month so that I can usually accommodate all photo shoots
What do the parents do during the session?
Absolutely nothing but relax. Once you arrive at my studio, I will ensure you are comfor table and talk you through the session, what I am going to do and how I am going to do it. After this, I will undress baby and give to Mum to feed. After baby has fed, I will take him/her back and begin the session. Parents can then relax, enjoy a hot cup of something (I have lots of choices), help themselves to snacks, read a magazine or catch up on some sleep.

Booking your shoot...
Before
To book any shoot I kindly ask for the session fee only. Prices of each session can be found on the next page.This fee covers my time, talent and use of my props, accessories and out ts. I have a wide range
of handmade out ts and accessories that have been carefully selected to suit my style. If you would like parents shots with your baby and or siblings to be included then there is no extra charge for this either.
The session fee will secure a date in my diary, with a newborn session this will be your due date. I kindly then ask you to tell me as soon as baby arrives so that we can book your session before baby reaches 14 days.This is the ideal time frame when babies are still at their squishiest and sleepiest and therefore easier to pose.
Payment can be taken by card or by bank transfer.
Tip
After
After your shoot, I will select the best 20-25 images and hand edit them to produce a gallery ready
for your viewing.The images can be viewed via an online, secure gallery or you can arrange an ordering appointment where I can help you to select your chosen images and products.
I have a selection of packages, carefully put together to offer better value than purchasing individual items . You are however welcome to ‘create your own’ at a minimum order value of £150.00
All orders must be paid for on the same day. Payment can be taken by any card or bank transfer.
My products are sourced from the UK’s leading professional prints laboratory.They are of the highest speci cation and all wall art is nished to the highest standard.All wall art products are tted with xing and wall cushion protectors.
To guarantee your session please book 2 months in advance of your due date.


Session Fees
Maternity Session £110
A maternity session is the perfect way to capture your beautifully grown baby bump.
This session is recommended between 32-37 weeks.The session will be relaxed and tailored to each individual client.You will get your newborn session half price when both sessions are booked at the same time.
Newborn Session £75
Newborns don’t stay tiny forever, so capturing those rst few weeks is precious and will provide you with images you can treasure forever. Those sleepy curly shots are best achieved before your baby reaches 14 days.
Simply Baby Session £60
If you missed out on capturing those rst few precious weeks then this will be the perfect session that will still enable you to capture your little one whilst they are still small but not yet sitting.The session will adopt a more natural style and capture a mix of sleepy and wide eyed awake shots of your beautiful baby with a wide range of styles, props and accessories.
Just Sitting Session £50
The next big milestone for your little one during their rst year is when they start to sit unaided. This session captures those cheeky smiles, gorgeous skin rolls and their new found personalities. The session will involve approximately 3 out t changes.
Cake Smash Session £75
The perfect way to mark the moment your little one turns one!The session will mark the moment with ONE props, balloons, the cake smash itself and then all topped off with a fun splash in a bubble bath.A large cupcake or cake will be supplied within this price.
