Sharks and Minnows
The shark stands in the middle of the play area and say Fishy, fishy come out and play.
The minnows slowly walk towards the sharks. At any time, the shark can
yell Shark Attack! At with point, the minnows must run to the opposite boundary line
without being tagged. If a minnow is tagged, she/he also becomes a shark.

Ships and Sailors
All participants are sailors and they are all on a ship. Assign one person to be the "Captain." The role of the
Captain is call out the actions and dismiss the players who don't do the actions quick enough or who break from
character. Once the captain calls an action, each player has 3-4 seconds to start performing the action. If they
don't find a group fast enough or perform the right action, they are out of the game. The Captain will give a
series of orders.
Commands:
1. Ship: All must run to their right.
2. Sailors: All must run to their left.
3. Hit the Deck: All must quickly lie on their stomach.
4. Captain's Coming!: Everyone stands at "attention“
5. Man Overboard: Sailors must find a partner. One person drops to one knee the other stands behind them
6. Three Men Eating: Sailors are to form groups of three and sit down in a circle.
7. Four Men Rowing: Sailors are to form groups of four and sit in a row on the floor.

Duck Duck Goose
All the players, except the first person who is It, sit in a circle. It walks around the circle, tapping each
player on the head, saying “duck” each time until he decides to tap someone and say “goose.” That
person becomes the goose and runs after It, trying to tag him before It can take his seat. It’s a game of tag
with a twist.

Tug of war
Tug of war is a sport that pits two teams against each other in a test of strength. Teams
pull on opposite ends of a rope, with the goal being to bring the rope a certain distance
in one direction against the force of the opposing team's pull.

Scoter relay races
Scooter Relays is when students race on scooter boards around cones in a relay-style
game. Instructor can add variation to race.

Find nemo
Standing in a circle the leader runs around the outside and select a person to become nemo. Once
selected, all students must go to each other with "Hi are you Nemo?" Students will answer No, including
Nemo to start with. After 5 answers of No Nemo is asked to answer quietly, Yes I am Nemo. Once Nemo
is chosen the players must line up quickly behind Nemo.
Other players choosen:
Dory- TWO taps defines who Dory is. Dory gets confused. Therefore when asked if you are Nemo, Dory may
answer yes and get a line of students standing behind them only to then turn and say "Sorry I am Dory"
Bruce- THREE taps defines who Bruce is. Bruce's role is to determine who is Nemo and line up as close to
the front of the line as they can and anyone who lines up behind Bruce once nemo is discovered is out.

Extreme paper scissors rock
Extreme rock, paper, scissors is the original game with a twist. Everyone should be in pairs.
Rock crushes (beats) scissors

Scissors cuts (beat) paper
The losers of each match must start cheering the name of the person who beat them and following that
person around to their next game..
Repeat this process in elimination, tournament style, until there are only two players left. Each
should have a large group of people cheering them on from their previous wins. Let them play the
final match. The game is over after one player wins the final match.

Dodgeball
The objective of dodgeball is to eliminate all players of the opposing team by throwing balls and
hitting the opposing players. Once a player is hit with a dodgeball they must sit out until next
round or someone catches a ball.

Four corners
The player in the middle must close their eyes and count slowly and loudly backward from ten to
zero. Whatever corner chosen by the caller is the players who are out. While they are counting,
everyone must find a corner and stay there or they are out.

Sack Races
The sack race a variation of a relay race in which participants place both of their legs
inside a sack waist and hop forward from a starting point toward a finish line. The first
person to cross the finish line is the winner of the race

Bear, Salmon, Mosquito
Bears eat (chase and tag) salmon, salmon eat (chase and tag) mosquitoes, and mosquitoes eat
(chase and tag) bears. Divide students in two groups, Each group must decide which of the 3
animals the entire group will be. Once they settle on an animal, the group is to line up facing the
other group lined up about 2 feet from the center line. You say 1, 2, 3, GO! The students make
their respective animals while looking at the opposing group. When they see the other group, they
determine whether they are to eat (chase and tag) the other group or if the other group is to eat
(chase and tag) them. The goal is for each group to win members from the other group. Students
that are tagged before reaching the end line behind them must join the opposing team.

Limbo
Two players hold a long soft rope or stick long. Players take turns leaning backward and shuffling
under the rope. Lower the rope after each round.
