PAPER PRESENTATION

LI-FI (light fideality ) is transmission of data through
illumination.

 Sending data through a led light bulb that varies in intensity faster
than a human eye can follow.

 LI-FI was developed by harald hass.

 LI-FI can threshold speed upto 1 GBPS.

The operational procedure of the LI-FI is very simple , When a
constant current is applied to an LED light bulb a constant

stream of photons are emitted from the bulb which is
observed as visible light. If the current is varied slowly the
output intensity of the light dims up and down. Because LED
bulbs are semi-conductor devices, the current, and hence
the optical output, can be modulated at extremely high
speeds which can be detected by a photo-detector device
and converted back to electrical current. The intensity
modulation is imperceptible to the human eye, and thus
communication is just as seamless as RF. Using this

technique, high speed information can be transmitted from
an LED light bulb.

Mostly powered by LED , so it is cost & energy efficient.

It’s main advantage is it’s bandwidth is 10,000 times ore
than the radio waves.

LI-FI can be used anywhere like hospitals , aircrafts ,etc

Most of the street lights can be converted into hotspots
for transmission of data.

Light can’t be passed through walls and objects.

Connectivity while moving.

Interferences through external light sources like sun light ,
normal bulbs , and opaque materials in the path of
transmission will cause interruption in the communication.

LI-FI is the upcoming and on going technology acting as
component for various other developing and already
invented technologies.

Future applications can be predicted and extended to
different platforms and various walks of human life.
