Once upon a time in a forest, there were three
very close friends. They have been good friends
since their childhood. The names are rabbit,
squirrel and deer.

Usually, in the morning, they will find food to
eat and enjoy it together.

Along their way to find food. Suddenly, they saw
lush apples on the tree. They stopped under the
tree and picked up the apples then ate them
together.

“Wow! This fruit is so delicious”, said rabbit. While
they were enjoying the food together, suddenly,
deer have some idea to share with their friends. “I
have an idea, what if we plant an apple, later we
will get a lot of apples and we can eat them as
much as we want”. Said deer. “Good idea!”. Said
rabbit and squirrel agreeing with deer’s idea.

Squirrel and friends started planting apple trees.
A few days later the apples began to bear fruit
profusely and they were very happy.

Every morning, their new job is to collect apples in
a basket before eating them. After being tired of
collecting apples, they fell asleep. When deer and
rabbit sleep soundly because their stomachs were
full of eating apple, but squirrel still felt hungry and
want to eat the apple from the tree. “Grrrr” the
sound of a squirrel’s stomach “hmmm! I’m hungry”
said squirrel, looking at the apple fruits on the tree.

Then the squirrel went to take the apple and ate
alone without asking his friend’s permission. After
satiety, the squirrel rested on the tree. When the
deer and rabbit woke up from their sleep, they
found the squirrel was gone and the apples fruit
were lesser.

“Squirrel. Did you eat this apple?”, rabbit and
deer asked squirrel. “No, I did not. There was a
monkey that eat these fruit just now”. Replied
squirrel to his friend.

The next day, rabbit wanted to collect the apples
and found squirrel eating the apples alone. Then
the rabbit called deer for to see what squirrel do
did. “Squirrel!”. Shouted deer. The squirrel was
shocked. “Why did you cheat on us, you said
monkey ate the apple”. Said rabbit to the
squirrel. “Because I’m afraid you will get upset at
me for eating this apple”, squirrel answered.
With anger, deer and rabbit left the squirrel
alone.

The squirrel felt very sad for his mistake, so
squirrel went to rabbit and the deer to apologize
for his actions. “I’m sorry for my mistake”, said
squirrel to his friends. “We have forgave you for a
long time”, said deer and rabbit. “Next time, don’t
cheat. We are not angry if you eat the apple as
long as you are honest with us”. The deer’s
message to the squirrel. “All right! I promise I
won’t cheat again”. Answered the squirrel.

Moral:
we need to be honest so that
others will easily believe us
