Low-E glass impacts on reducing interior heat
Exterior Interior
Sunlight Low-E coating
All wavelengths Transmits or reflects
selected wavelenghts
Double glaze low-e glass Long wavelength Short wavelenght
Infrared radiation Visible light passess
Reduce heat into interior of (heat) reflected through glazing
building
Reduce UV ray During day or Long wavelenght
Prevent heat loss from interior hot climates Infrared radiation
during night or cold climate Heat gain into (heat) reflected
interior is reduced
Insulated glass During night
Multi-pane glazing Heat loss from
interior is reduced
with selaed gap
A trussed tube system
improves on the efficiency of
the framed tube by
increasing its potential for
use in taller buildings and
allowing greater spacing
between the columns. This is
achieved by adding diagonal
bracing at the faces of the
tube to virtually eliminate
the shear lag in both the
flange and web frames.
Facade
Use high performance intelligent glass, combined
with articulated shading devices for optimal
thermal comfort levels.
Elements in this building includes;
Unitized curtain wall system
Low E double glazed panel supported by extruded
high performance aluminum frames
Tilted diagonal brise soleil (used as shading system)
Sustainability

chemical water treatment
Water
Consumptions
Every room at the hotel has an National
Sanitation Foundation (NSF) certified
filters water systems which is safe to
drink the water straight from the tap.
Eco element
(3R)
The hotel practices reduce, reuse and recycle, in
line with its eco-certification. This hotel does not
provide water in plastic bottles in order to reduce
their impact on the earth in the elimination of
plastic waste.
"Shampoo and body wash for the hotel were supplied by
Pharmacopia. A company that produced antioxidant and
aromatherapeutic benefits in biodegrable formula and
recycled packaging."
Energy efficiency
& saving
Provide energy-efficient appliances (fridge, microwave
oven, induction cooker and dishwasher)
The building itself has anti-glare features in the glass
windows which still allow natural light in but the
daylight glare control function is to filter appropriate
amounts of sunlight into the room.
Light fittings using LED lighting which is LED light bulbs
use around 85% less than fluorescent tube.
CO2
Monitoring
Every room & carpark equipped with
Carbon Dioxide moniroting device to
prevent excessive levels of CO2
exposure that can be life threatening.
Acoustic Wall
The hotel is using drywall systems by Gyproc Saint-
Gobain as partition board.
The benefits of these drywall systems are the fire
protection and impact resistance.
Types of acoustic wall used in this hotel are 15mm
FireLine® Drywall System and 16mm DuraLine®
PLUS Drywall System.
Travertine stone cladding used at lift lobby because
it has ability of sound and thermal insulation.
