Fred wakes up ding ding ding his alarm goes off and realizes he is going to be late to work at the radio station so he gets dressed and leaves for work. He makes his coffee and turns on the radio. There is a big hail storm coming and they are saying there could be tennis ball sized hail, but for sure golf ball sized hail.
Fred gets in his red BMW and starts driving to work hoping he will make it before the storm gets bad. As he gets about halfway and then it starts to hail, so now he is slipping on the pebble-sized hail. He starts to swerve and then he goes off the road and hits a telephone pole.
Fred is now stranded on the side of the road and will not make it work on time. He is on a road that doesn’t have a lot of traffic so he knows he needs to start walking. As he is walking the hail starts getting bigger. He has no place to take cover so he just keeps walking.
The next thing he knows, he is sitting in a stranger's car. The stranger thought maybe he got knocked out from the hail. Fred was not sure but knew he had to get to work. He found out the stranger's name was Barney. Barney dropped Fred off at work and away he went.
As Fred walked in to work his boss named Bob came up to him and started yelling at him because he was so late. Fred was supposed to be in a meeting but because he was late to work he missed the meeting. Fred tried to explain what happened but couldn’t remember.
Before long a police officer named Jeff walked in the door of Fred's work. He was looking for Fred because they had found his car by the pole. The officer asked Fred some questions but he still couldn’t come up with the answers. He did remember Barney. He told officers about how Barney had brought him to work.
Fred’s boss finally figured out why he was late for work. His boss decided it would be a good idea to take Fred to the hospital to have him checked out because of the accident. Fred's boss was surprised at all that happened to Fred that morning. He apologized to Fred for yelling at him for missing the meeting. But now that she knows what happened everything was going to be okay for Fred.
