AEA is focused on ensuring our members have access to the best tools, strategies
and networking opportunities. Therefore it is my pleasure to introduce our newest
networking tool, Collaborate: the National Matching Catalog.

Supported in part by generaous support of the American Legion Child Welfare Foun-
dation, “Collaborate” provides an unparalleled opportunity for members to promote
and showcase waiting children and families within the AEA community, including
those children under restricted recruitment.

We encourage members to use Collaborate as a means to:

1. facilitate conversations around potential matches,
2. learn who your fellow members serve,
3. foster relationships, and;
4. connect with peers.

My name is Matthew. I am a huge sports
fan! Basketball is by far my favorite; I
once played with a Harlem Globetrotters
player and that was pretty cool! I also
like watching sports on TV and play vid-
eo games that are related to sports.

It would be very exciting to have a pet

I’m Caleb. I have a serious sense of hu-
mor! I love to tell jokes and make peo-
ple laugh.

One other interesting thing about me is
that I like to cook. I can see myself in the
kitchen with my new family preparing a
meal or tending to a garden where our

Hi, I’m Shion. My friends say I’m nice, funny, and
active. I like to do things, and have fun. I have a
younger brother Rashion who is very important to
me. I can’t even explain in words how important
he is to me.

I enjoy school a lot, especially ROTC. After high
school I want to go to the University of Florida
and play football. I am also considering joining
the marines or going to officer training school.

Robert, Anika and Viva
District of Columbia

Hello! We are Robert, Viva and Anika. We also have a lot of furry family members;
Milo our dog, Samba our cat, and Big Bird, Bok and Frankie, our chickens.
We love our animals and talk about them all the time! Our chickens like to chase us around
the deck and it’s a blast!
We love to travel and enjoy playing tennis in the summer and skiing in the winter. When we
are at home we like to play games, at the moment Sorry is our favorite as well as Pandemic.
We all love listening to different music as well. I (Anika) love to sing mostly to the acapella
group Pentatonix and popular music. Robert likes rock and roll and Viva likes quieter music.
Dancing and singing in our living room is a lot of fun. We enjoy reading books together espe-
cially since I am learning to read. We just finished reading A Wrinkle in Time.

Alachua County School System and Wanda is a Behavioral Re-
source Teacher Assistant. I (Wanda) have worked for the school system for al-
most twenty years now and have experience with children of different types of
