FOREWORD
RECTOR OF KUIS
Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt. and Salam Sejahtera. On behalf of the
organizing committee, it is a great pleasure for me to welcome all
participants to the 6th International Conference on Information
Technology and Society (ICITS 2020). My heartiest congratulations to
the Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTM),
International Islamic University College Selangor (KUIS) for organizing
and ensuring the success of this conference.
The theme of the conference is "Vision Towards ICT Revolution" which
fits well with today's technology age. The revolution of ICT has brought
the increased new approaches and thoughts on all aspects of
adaptation, development, and design of information technology and
also communication between people all over the world. The
development of ICT is a driver for major innovations in products and services. This international
conference (ICITS 2020) is held to bring together researchers, academicians, scientists, and
scholars to exchange and share their latest research with technology experiences. The other aim
of this conference is for reviewing and discussing new ideas and practical challenges encountered
and the solutions adopted in technological aspects.
As one of the growing institutions in Malaysia, KUIS keep grows in its strides towards empowering
research and innovation to raise the university to the global academic standards. Through
research, innovation can help to enhance technology development and could benefit others. I hope
this conference will create a platform for researchers to share their knowledge and findings as well
as their innovations, and thus encouraging greater collaboration and networking among the
participants.
I believe that sharing of knowledge and experience in this conference will yield effective
recommendations, strategies, and action plans to deal with new challenges and visions in facing
towards on ICT revolution. Lastly, I wish this conference may bring a meaningful outcome and
benefits to practical use in the relevant commercial fields, thus benefiting our nation and others
beyond our borders.

DEAN OF FSTM KUIS
Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt. and Salam Sejahtera. In the name of
Almighty Allah and His Messenger who thought us the meaning and the
importance of knowledge in our lives. It is a warm welcome to the 6th
International Conference on Information Technology & Society (ICITS
2020) which is proudly organized by the conference committee of
Faculty of Science and Information Technology (FSTM), KUIS.
ICITS 2020 is designed in continuation of the series with the theme,
"Vision Towards ICT Revolution" with the same objectives in sharing
ideas, knowledge, and experiences among researchers, academicians,
professionals, and students especially for the targeted subthemes with
current issues in a new vision and trends in practicing and development
through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) revolution. In the age of rapid changing
of ICT and digital technology deployment in Malaysia, all academic, scientific, and professional
community needs to keep the sustainability of the latest development, emerging trends, and
technology in various fields. Certain issues and challenges faced in the variety of fields need to be
taken of the proper technological solutions. In this regard, I do hope, this conference will provide
an ideal platform and an extremely significant opportunity for us to share the results of our
research work and further build up our scientific and professional community.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Assalamualaikum Wrt. Wbt and Salam Sejahtera.
Alhamdulillah. My grateful to Allah for His mercy for granting me the
opportunity to be part of this 6th International Conference on
Information Technology and Society (ICITS 2020). Special thanks to the
committee members for their commitment to making this event
possible. It is an honour for the team to be appointed by the Faculty of
Science & Information Technology (FSTM) to organise this conference.
It is the first ICITS event conducted online. It would never come to our
mind if not for pandemic Covid-19 to strike worldwide. We have to live
with the new norm. By having the technology, our communication
remains intact. This event managed to organise. Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
has played its part in helping us living in this new norm. Not only in education, all other sectors as
well. Companies that implement ICT in their business can also sustain with their online marketing
and e-commerce.
Government has also implemented technology by producing mobile apps that can monitor the
user. It records the location where the public has visited. All information stored in a database so
that they could be trace if a positive case detected. It is also provided with other features to prevent
the virus spread.
World Health Organization (WHO) produced motion graphics to create awareness among the public
to understand how the virus spread and what measure to take to prevent it. It reaches a few million
views on Youtube. Ministry of Health (KKM) also implement this multimedia technology in their
efforts to educate the public with the information for prevention and standard operating procedure
(SOP). It is an effective method to convey messages. With all the efforts, we hope that the pandemic
will end soon.
The theme 'Vision Towards ICT Revolution' is chosen to portray the insight of ICT academia,
scholars, professionals and experts in their preparation for facing the industry revolution 4.0. We
expect many excellent research papers presented at this conference. We hope to achieve the
objective to share the knowledge that could benefit society.

Abstract. Requirements negotiation involves discussion on the requirements conflict to have some
compromise that will satisfy the participating stakeholders of a software project. The output of a
requirement negotiation is a set of satisfied requirements of two or more parties. In this paper, we
present a systematic review of requirements negotiation challenges. The study adopted 34 papers
from the final study selection process which were analyzed based on the requirements negotiation
challenges they addressed. The identified challenges are decision-making, communication,
performance, managing requirement changes, and conflict resolution. The output of the study
indicates that decision-making is addressed by 33% of the studies reviewed, followed by the
performance with 22%, conflict resolution with 19%, while 16% focus on stakeholders’
communication, and managing requirements changes has 10%.

Abstract. The speedy evolution of technology has revolutionized the face of the community
especially when a new pandemic appears in the world. The technology has been adapted to assist
the community to understand more on social distancing to flatten the curve of the Covid-19
pandemic. Due to that, this research will propose a new conceptual framework to educate the
community about social distancing using a social distancing mobile application. This application
will educate students about the safe distance for the community and be able to guide a safe
distance between individuals when they are doing some social activities like attending classes and
communicating. Other than that, hopefully, this concept paper can develop more ideas for the
researchers to develop a mobile application to facilitate and educate the community about the
social distancing essentials.

Abstract. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kebolehgunaan media pembelajaran kursus struktur
data yang berasaskan teknologi Web dan multimedia. Aplikasi pembelajaran ini dibangunkan
menggunakan model reka bentuk pengajaran Model ADDIE yang mengandungi lima fasa iaitu
Analisis, Reka Bentuk, Pembangunan, Pelaksanaan dan Penilaian. Bagi menilai kebolehgunaan
aplikasi pembelajaran ini, kaedah kuantitatif dengan menggunakan soal selidik berskala Likert
lima pilihan telah digunakan untuk menilai aspek reka bentuk antara muka, organisasi
kandungan, multimedia, dan kemudahgunaan aplikasi. Seramai 31 orang pelajar terlibat dalam
menilai kebolehgunaan aplikasi. Data yang diperolehi telah dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil
dapatan kajian ini menunjukkan keempat-empat aspek yang dinilai berjaya diterapkan dalam
aplikasi pembelajaran yang telah dibangunkan, ini berdasarkan kepada purata min bagi setiap
aspek mencapai pada tahap yang tinggi (min >= 4.32). Kesimpulannya, pembangunan aplikasi
pembelajaran ini berjaya dibangunkan dan dapat dikatakan telah melepasi tahap standard
piawaian pembangunan sesebuah sistem pembelajaran. Oleh itu, aplikasi pembelajaran
berasaskan teknologi Web dan multimedia yang telah dibangunkan boleh digunakan dalam
pengajaran dan pembelajaran Kursus Sruktur Data.

Abstract. The characteristics of international trade are constantly changing. The ability to purchase
goods over the Internet is an example of a development that has radically changed the potential
and conditions for cross-border trade - both globally and in the EU’s domestic market. Such
developments create new conditions or new barriers. The EU internal market enables us to trade
goods and services freely. As EU citizens, we can travel, live, work and study wherever we want.
People can move freely, and this also applies to the movement of capital. There is free movement
in the domestic market. This paper provides a broad overview of what free trade is and its role in
WTO, its advantages and disadvantages, some interactions with e-commerce, especially the
impact of e-commerce on the logistics.

Abstract. The paper investigated the socio-demographic impact on the adoption of digital payment
applications among Malaysians, based on the adapted version of the Cashless Society Readiness-
Adoption model. The adapted model comprised of three main factors, namely, Convenience,
Privacy and Perceived Cost. A total of 258 Malaysians (Mage = 34.5; SDage = 7.82) participated
in the study. Results show age, education levels and income levels had no significant moderating
impact on the adoption of digital payment, however, frequency of use was found to be significant
for Convenience and Privacy. The findings are presented and discussed in this paper.

Abstract. Typography plays an important role in visual design. It is one of the core elements of
visual design. In visual communication, text is always the best medium of conveying design
material. This research investigated the influences of typographical elements and its application;
specifically, it studied how the visual characteristics of different typography classifications affect
the categorization of a collection of selected lip cosmetics packaging design. Content analysis is
the method that was used to conduct this research. Purposive sampling used within this study with
a certain set of criteria for the selected lips cosmetic packaging. 60 packaging was selected based
on a set of criteria and the samples were tabulated onto a matrix diagram and categorized are
done based on the LATCH Theory of Organization. The findings of this research showed that the
typography classifications determined were able to identify with specific typographic attributes, as
well as identification of connotative associations in relations to past researches. There is a different
style of typography application in pricing of the product. The typography affected the price of in the
of lips cosmetic packaging design.

Abstract. Kajian ini dijalankan bagi memenuhi keperluan penghantaran dokumen semakan
kurikulum program Diploma Sains Komputer, Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Maklumat, Kolej
Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor. Antara lampiran dokumen semakan kurikulum yang perlu
dihantar kepada pihak Agensi Kelayakan (MQA) adalah kajian pengesanan graduan yang telah
tamat pengajian. Kajian ini bertujuan mendapatkan maklumat kebolehpasaran graduan lepasan
Diploma Sains Komputer di Fakulti Sains dan Teknologi Maklumat, KUIS setelah tamat pengajian.
Kerangka konseptual kajian terdiri daripada pemboleh ubah bersandar dan pemboleh ubah tidak
bersandar. Pemboleh ubah bersandar ialah kemahiran dalam bidang Sains Komputer dan peluang
pekerjaan dalam bidang Sains Komputer. Pemboleh ubah tidak bersandar pula ialah graduan
Diploma Sains Komputer. Responden terdiri daripada 37 orang graduan Diploma Sains Komputer
yang telah tamat pengajian dari tahun 2007 sehingga 2019. Borang soal selidik dibangunkan
menggunakan Google form berdasarkan kerangka konspetual kajian. Responden dihubungi
melalui aplikasi WhatsApp dan Facebook. Pautan borang soal selidik juga dikongsikan kepada
responden menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp dan juga mesej Facebook. Data yang diisi oleh
responden disimpan dalam format fail Microsoft Excel. Analisis kajian pula adalah dalam bentuk
graf carta bar dan carta pie. Hasil kajian menunjukkan tahap kemahiran dan peluang pekerjaan
graduan lepasan Diploma Sains Komputer. Cadangan daripada responden menjadi input berguna
kepada pihak fakulti bagi penambahbaikan struktur kurikulum dan proforma program pengajian.

pekerjaan. Responden terdiri daripada 20 orang wakil dari industri pelbagai sektor di Malaysia.
Borang soal selidik dibangunkan menggunakan Google form berdasarkan kerangka konseptual
kajian. Responden dihubungi melalui aplikasi WhatsApp dan Facebook. Pautan borang soal selidik
juga dikongsikan kepada responden menggunakan aplikasi WhatsApp dan juga mesej Facebook.
Data yang diisi oleh responden disimpan dalam format fail Microsoft Excel. Analisis kajian pula

Abstract. Kelemahan rekabentuk buku teks digital yang tidak mempunyai ciri-ciri kebolehgunaan
terutama rekabentuk paparan antara muka boleh menyebabkan niat tingkah laku murid terhadap
buku teks digital menjadi negative. Terdapat banyak kajian-kajian yang lepas telah
membincangkan faktor-faktor kebolehgunaan bagi memastikan rekabentuk paparan antara muka
mempunyai ciri-ciri kebolehgunaan. Namun demikian, kajian berkaitan dengan faktor
kebolehgunaan lebih berfokus kepada rekabentuk sistem perisian berbanding rekabentuk buku
teks digital yang masih lagi terhad. Justeru, kajian ini menggunakan kaedah Fuzzy Delphi bagi
mengenalpasti dan menganalisa faktor-faktor kebolehgunaan untuk diterapkan dalam rekabentuk
paparan antara muka buku teks digital berdasarkan konsensus daripada 12 orang pakar yang
terdiri daripada ahli akademik, guru dan pihak industri di Malaysia. Pengumpulan data melalui
kaedah Fuzzy Delphi menggunakan soal selidik yang melibatkan 5 konstruk dan 38 item (ciri-ciri
kebolehgunaan). Data dianalisis menggunakan triangular fuzzy numbering dan penentuan
kedudukan mengikut ranking bagi setiap elemen kebolehgunaan mengikut konstruk telah
dikenalpasti menggunakan proses defuzzication. Penemuan menunjukkan bahawa maklumbalas
dan konsensus dalam kalangan pakar yang terlibat terhadap fakor-faktor kebolehgunaan untuk
diterapkan dalam rekabentuk paparan antara muka buku teks digital berada pada tahap yang
baik. Terdapat 38 ciri-ciri kebolehgunaan dan 5 faktor utama telah dikenalpasti iaitu (1) Faktor
Asas, (2) Faktor Komunikasi, (3) Faktor Paparan, (4) Faktor Persembahan Informasi dan (5) Faktor
Interaktif.

Abstract. Di era digital revolusi terkini, bidang pendidikan tidak ketinggalan dalam mengalami
transformasi ke arah andragogi dan pedagogi secara digital. Seiring dengan Perintah Kawalan
Pergerakan (PKP) yang dilaksanakan oleh kerajaan Malaysia bagi membendung penularan wabak
COVID-19, kaedah pembelajaran atas talian merupakan suatu keperluan. Semua institusi
pendidikan samada pengajian tinggi mahupun pendidikan sekolah-sekolah di Malaysia tiada
pilihan lain dengan terpaksa menggunakan kaedah pengajaran dan pembelajaran secara maya
bagi memastikan silibus pengajaran dapat disampaikan dengan sebaik mungkin supaya sesi
pembelajaran tidak ditangguhkan. Namun, sejauh mana penerimaan pelajar-pelajar sekolah
menerima norma baharu dalam sesi pengajaran dan pembelajaran ini dari segi kesediaan emosi
mereka. Ini menjadi objektif kajian ini. Skop kajian adalah di kalangan pelajar sekolah menengah
sahaja di sekitar Wilayah Persekutuan dan Selangor atas sebab di kawasan ini rangkaian Internet
lebih stabil. Remaja adalah golongan kalangan usia yang paling kritikal tahap emosi mereka
terhadap kehidupan. Soal selidik diedarkan secara atas talian kepada lebih kurang seratus lebih
pelajar. Dapatan kajian mendapati secara amnya, pelajar-pelajar ini masih mengharapkan
bersekolah seperti biasa. Pembelajaran atas talian menyebabkan mereka kurang faham dan
susah untuk memberi tumpuan sepenuhnya pada pembelajaran. Ini kerana mereka lebih teruja
untuk membuat perkara lain seperti bermain permainan atas talian, menonton televisyen, dan
lain-lain. Kesimpulannya, walaupun kumpulan kajian terdiri daripada pelajar yang berada di
bandar namun mereka masih tetap menghadapi masalah dalam menghadapi norma baharu
dalam pembelajaran atas talian. Ia bukan sahaja berkaitan dengan masalah teknikal dan
penerimaan pelajar-pelajar menghadapi isu-isu sepanjang pembelajaran atas talian tersebut
tetapi juga disebabkan gangguan pada emosi dan keteguhan jiwa mereka.

ITS 010_1 | GREEN DATA CENTER DEVELOPMENT MODEL FOR THE MALAYSIAN PUBLIC SECTOR

Abstract. Studies by MAMPU on 105 Malaysian public sector agencies in 2009 showed that there
were overall 117 data centres while 12 of the agencies had more than one data centre. Thus, it is
concluded that every government agency has at least one data centre at the respective agencies
at that time. Now the use of data center resources is increasingly important as a result of the use
of online applications that need to operate for 24 hours without a stop. This indirectly increase the
energy consumption by a data center that is already one of the main energy users. The energy
consumption by a data center could be reduced significantly by transforming it to Green Data
Centre (PDH). However, the implementation of PDH in government agencies was still very small
based on PDH's recognition. Failure to provide an effective guiding model will cause the PDH
project to be ignored by the agency. Thus, this study aims to identify the complete criteria needed
to develop a PDH in government agency. The identified development criteria of the PDH would
reflect the level of development that can be achieved by an agency as well as prepare them towards
PDH certification. This was a qualitative study through case studies in public sector agencies that
have developed their PDH and by confirmation of field experts. Data collection through sampling
on a semi-structured interview, observation and analysis of document content has been
performed. Data is analyzed by theme and interpretations based on the original meaning. The
objectives of the study are achieved through the listing of 46 criteria that were classified into (five)
5 metrics and (three) 3 levels of development. The results of the study form a complete
development model and implementation of the PDH specifically for the public sector. As a result,
this model also contributes to a new knowledge in the field of data centre management. It is hoped
that the outcome of this study will specifically help the public sector agencies in improving the
implementation of the PDH project at their respective agencies as well as catalyse the
implementation of PDH in the public sector in general.

Abstract. In facing the development of the 4th Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), information
technology development is very rapidly developing in Malaysia. In line with that, the government's
move to empower government services delivery system is one of the efforts to ensure that the
quality of public service is more efficient, fast and efficient as well as reducing the operational
costs of the Government. Therefore, the implementation of centralized information system is an
alternative to the government in reducing operating costs and avoiding duplication of data between
ministries, departments and public agencies. Although the implementation of centralized
information system has been implemented in the public sector, the success issues of
implementation and adoption in the public organization are still yet at a commendable level.
According to previous review, one of the causes of the implementation of information system in
the public sector was due to no revaluation exercise period. In addition, the level of consumer
adoption in public organizations in the use of a centralized information system in daily work is still
at a very low level. In this regard, the main objective of this study is to identify and evaluate critical
success factors in the implementation of centralized information system in the public sector for
the purposes of adoption in the organization and thus produce a success model by combining all
factors identified and confirmed and agreed by experts. In this case study, the MyMeeting System
was chosen as a study in developing instruments assessments that were performed. This research
methodology conducts quantitative which consists of four (4) main phases, a total of 29 people
from the Information System Service's scheme which is directly involved with the MyMeeting
System in this questionnaire. The following data were analysed with descriptive and the findings
showed that the median agreement value for each CSFs and Domain (technology, organization and
consumer) showed the uniformity of positive consent which agreed with the outcome of the
assessment. The result of this study will be a guide by government agencies in the effort to re-
evaluate the implementation of the information system that has long been implemented as well
as to overcome the adoption issues of the consumer information system in general public
organizations.

Abstract. Trust is the firm belief in the reliability, honesty, or ability of someone or something.
However, in the era of the internet, we can argue that trust has eluded a proper definition.
Consumers depend on services provided by service providers, which are in turn, dependent on the
services provided by other service providers. The nature of interoperability of various services
makes it difficult for consumers to have adequate knowledge of the dependencies of those
services, which may not have any kind of security or Quality of Service (QoS) guarantee. The
problem is compounded by the proliferation of various microservice-based models being utilized
for interoperability. This paper is our first attempt to understand the issue of trust in the era of
microservices. We reviewed relevant studies on both subjects (trust and microservices) to
understand how trust models have been developed and implemented over the last 10 years. Our
findings show that whilst service recommendation is maturing, trust management has not been
thoroughly studied. Understanding of trust still remains vague due to the ambiguity of the concept
of trust as well as the existence of divergent trust models in different contexts. Since microservice
architecture is becoming a critical area to be studied in the area of service recommendations, and
is a promising new architecture for trust management and future service-based implementation,
this study is headed towards that direction.

Abstract. Hinting is a useful and common pedagogical tactic in one-on-one tutoring when a student
has difficulty in solving a problem or answering a question. Incorporating hinting strategies in
MOOCS and learning management system (LMS) can promote interactions between the student
and the system, thus, increasing the student awareness and alertness. This paper study the
effectiveness of adaptive hinting model for delivering hinting in MOOCS using animated
pedagogical agent that can offers interactivity and adaptability. From the descriptive analysis, we
find that the mean of posttest of the students from the treatment group learned SSK2013 Web
Development course at Kolej Komuniti Arau through MOOCs by using animated pedagogical agent
is higher than the mean of posttest of the students from the control group that learned SSK2013
Web Development course through MOOCs without using animated pedagogical agent. Animated
pedagogical agent is an animated character that acts like cyber tutor to provide the users with a
higher level of interaction in computer-based learning environments.

Abstract. The traditional learning styles required specific times and focus while game-based
learning gives an effective way to learn in relaxing style and can improve learning motivation
especially for primary school students. Game-Based learning (GBL) is an environment where game
content and game play enhance knowledge and skills acquisition, and where game activities
involved in problem solving spaces and challenges that provide players/learners with a sense of
achievement. In order to improve motivation and learning activities for Malaysia primary school
students in Arabic numbers, the ‘Belajar Nombor Arab 1-100’ is developed with module and
exercise sessions. This study used the ADDIE model which consist of five main phases; Analysis,
Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. In the Analysis phase, Arabic Language
Textbook for year one at Selangor Islamic Primary School was used to create the contents of the
mobile application. As for the evaluation phase, this study approach experts in related field to
evaluate and identify the strength and weaknesses of the application. The aims of this study are
to design and develop the ‘Belajar Nombor Arab 1-100’ and gaining expert opinions on usability of
the game-based learning applications.

Abstract. This research study aims to analyse such factors as perceived usefulness, perceived ease
of use, technology and institution involvement in influencing the effectiveness of online systems
and applications for final online examinations held at Selangor International Islamic University
College (KUIS) during the period of movement control order (MCO) 2020. Basic modal Technology
Acceptance Model (TAM) is applied in this research to study the effectiveness of online systems
and applications used by students of KUIS who undergo final online examinations during MCO
2020. This is a quantitative research and questionnaires were used as the research instrument.
The questionnaires were distributed to KUIS’s students who took part in the final online
examinations during MCO 2020 and a total of 351 data were collected. Through multiple
regression analysis, it is discovered that perceived ease of use and technology are the main factors
that influence the most towards the effectiveness of online systems and applications for final
online examinations purposes at KUIS while institution involvement factor influences the least. As
a conclusion, by studying through these factors, the findings of this research study can serve and
be beneficial towards KUIS and the teaching staff in the direction of improving the effectiveness of
using online platforms for online examination purposes.

Abstract. Pemilihan media pembelajaran adalah salah satu faktor penting dalam membantu
keberkesanan proses pembelajaran seiring dengan perkembangan dunia pendidikan pada abad
ke-21. Teknologi reality luasan (AR) di lihat sebagai salah satu media pembelajaran interaktif
seiring dengan peredaran sistem pendidikan pada abad ini. Teknik yang menggabungkan alam
maya dan realiti ini menggunakan teknik pemaparan yang menarik kerana menampilkan objek
3D, animasi, audio dan video dengan hanya mengimbas kamera telefon pintar ke arah imej
tertentu yang telah direka. Kertas kerja ini akan mengetengahkan satu aplikasi mudah alih
menggunakan teknologi realiti luasan untuk belajar Bahasa Arab bagi pelajar tahun 1. Dengan
terhasilnya aplikasi ini diharapkan dapat membantu dan memberi pilihan kepada pelajar dalam
mempelajari Bahasa Arab dengan mudah. Aplikasi ini dibangunkan menggunakan alat pengarang

Abstract. Earlier in Bangladesh, tax return submission by taxpayers at National Board of Revenue
(NBR) was limited to paper based submission. To build up tax department as a complete, self-
sufficient, modern, potent, accountable and technology oriented department, Strengthening
Governance Management Project (SGMP) was initiated. If NBR can be brought under complete
automation, transparency and accountability can be ensured. SGMP was implemented with a
vision to strengthen tax administration and modernize total tax collection system through
spreading information and communication technology in all income tax offices and providing
training to tax officers. The initial duration of the project was from July 2011 to December 2013
but it actually ended in June 2018. Objectives of the project were to strengthen tax administration
by improving efficiency of income tax officers through using information and communication
technology and specialized training; building up an online intercommunicating platform by creating
online tax return system through development, implementation and maintenance of an online
software; to improve ICT efficiency/ ability of income tax circles through providing necessary
computer hardware, printers and relevant accessories; and to formulate design, establish and
management of income tax information and service centers. Lessons learned from this project are
highlighted in this paper.

Abstract. Government of Bangladesh gives top priority to the development of agriculture sector
through its increased productivity, production, supply chains, value addition and market linkages.
GoB sought the support of development partners such as the World Bank to provide technical and
financial support to activities aimed at boosting agricultural production through productivity
enhancement, and increasing small holders’ income. In order to improve agricultural productivity
and farm income, on the request of the Government of Bangladesh, the World Bank agreed to
support a long term agricultural development program over a period of 15 years to be implemented
in three phases of five years each with the first phase beginning in July 2007. Accordingly, the
National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP): Phase-I (NATP-1) was designed with the
development objective of improving the effectiveness of national agricultural technology system
(including agricultural research, extension and development of supply chains) and increasing
agricultural productivity and farm income in Bangladesh. NATP-1 was initiated in July 2007 and
closed in December 2014. NATP-1 has significant achievements in generating technologies,
increasing the effectiveness of extension and research systems, development of supply chains and
broadening linkages between research-extension-farmers across the project areas. Based on the
experience of NATP-1, the World Bank, jointly with IFAD and USAID, decided to provide financial
support to GoB for National Agricultural Technology Program- Phase II Project (NATP-2). The
duration of the project is 1 October 2015 to 30 September 2021. ICT facilities have been
developed at BARC and seven NARS institutes i.e. BARI, BRRI, BJRI, BSRI, SRDI, BLRI and FRI under
the National Agricultural Technology Project (NATP) Phase 1. As part of these activities Data Center
was established at BARC in the year 2012 to facilitate MIS development of National Agricultural
Research System (NARS). Seven NARS institutes were connected to the Data Center through
Virtual Private Network for transfer of Data into the MIS and all data/information of NARS
organization can be maintained and accessed centrally through secured environment in NATP
phase 1. Similar facilities would be developed for the remaining five NARS i.e. BINA, BFRI, BTRI,
CDB & BSRTI in NATP- Phase 2. In addition ICT facilities will be created in Regional Agricultural
Research Stations (RARS) and Agricultural Research Stations (ARS)/ Center of NARS institutes. In
reality, since more than five years have passed all 12 NARS institutes and BARC need to have ICT
facilities again and software need to be developed again to utilize recently available technology
such as mobile technology.

Abstract. Teknik cantasan adalah sangat berguna dalam bidang capaian maklumat dan dokumen.
Ia juga dapat mengurangkan saiz kamus. Dalam bahasa Melayu, terdapat dua jenis aksara yang
digunakan, sama ada aksara Rumi (Roman) atau Jawi. Kebanyakan pencantas perkataan Melayu
hanya merangkumi imbuhan Rumi dan beberapa Jawi moden. Kertas kerja ini mencadangkan
pencantas untuk aksara Jawi dengan menggunakan satu set peraturan dalam Jawi lama (Satu set
peraturan yang digunakan untuk mengekang pelbagai bentuk perkataan terbitan Jawi lama).
Terdapat 2500 perkataan Jawi terbitan terdiri daripada awalan, apitan, akhiran, sisipan dan diuji
menggunakan pencantas ini. Hasil uji kaji menunjukkan 86.28% daripada perkataan Jawi berjaya
dicantas dengan betul.

Abstract. Program dan aktiviti masjid Al-Azhar boleh dikatakan diadakan mengikut kekerapan
harian, mingguan dan bulanan. Program yang bersifat harian contohnya kuliah Maghrib, manakala
yang bersifat mingguan pula adalah kuliah dhuha, kuliah Subuh dan pelbagai lagi. Manakala
program yang bersifat bulanan pula adalah berbentuk khusus dan melibatkan penceramah luar.
Namun begitu, hebahan program-program tersebut kepada pelajar dan kumpulan sasaran dalam
kalangan kakitangan dan komuniti setempat masih kurang memuaskan. Aplikasi yang
dicadangkan untuk dibangunkan adalah untuk menyampaikan maklumat tentang aktiviti dan
program masjid Al-Azhar secara terus kepada kumpulan sasar agar mereka mendapat maklumat
tepat dan terkini daripada pihak masjid.

Abstract. Project development is one of the vital components that contribute to the continuous
assessment marks for some courses in Institutions of Higher Learning. This study was conducted
to develop video-based modules as a reference to students during the development of the
database project used as active learning in the classroom. Video-based modules are suitable for
learning approaches toward students in Gen-Z. The video modules development consists of several
phases that have been set according to the topic of database project development. This study
involved a total of 104 students in year two who will need to develop the database project
individually. The results of the study found that the video-based module had a positive impact on
the students. A total of 101 (97.1%) students agreed that the video-based module produced is
easier to understand. Meanwhile, a total of 100 (96.2%) students found that this video-based
module helps them to complete the given project. This active learning approach can be used for
other courses that involve in project development as well as having a class with a large number of
Gen-Z students.

Abstract. Some previous works indicated that the commercial websites in small and medium-sized
enterprises (SMEs) in Malaysia are having serious problems related to accessibility issues. Some
websites were revealed to be not in compliance with the W3C accessibility conformance level. The
purpose of this study is to explore the phenomenon and examine the factors influencing SMEs
companies to produce accessible online content amongst small and medium-sized enterprises
SMEs companies considering web accessibility practice. The data were collected and analyzed
based on nine key informants working in the respective context. The initial conceptual model was
developed based on related theories and previous related studies thus expert analysis reviews
were also performed to confirm the relevancy of the instrument designed for this study. The
determinant factors discovered are attitude, perceived benefits, and perceived barriers could
potentially affect the IT practitioners’ intention and companies’ decision to produce online content
considering accessibility feature. This study intends to furnish both web developers and
information technologist in SMEs with some useful insights in order to develop and upgrade the
online content or websites in future.

Abstract. Water is one of the basic necessities of life. Conversely, pollution and environmental
contaminants negatively impact water quality and make it potentially unsafe to drink. People in
locations without easy access to purified water, especially, would benefit from technology allowing
them to determine to what extent potential drinking water appears unclean. Machine learning for
water impurity detection has not venture into microscopic images. Deep learning has showed
impressive performance but poses some issues to be addressed. In order to provide this
technology and quickly determine the level of contamination of water, we initiate three objectives
(i) to propose an auto-crafted microscopic intrinsic feature that utilized deep learning to diagnose
water impurity, (ii) to improve function loss in deep learning for water impurity classification, and
(iii) to evaluate the effectiveness of both proposed ideas as an integration with macroscopic and
microscopic images. Apparently, after performing image acquisition and augmentation phase, this
project adheres a deep learning approach model in substitution to handcrafted features, and
extends its loss function to diagnose and classify water impurity in advance to the existing
technology. Up till now, there is no research that utilizes a deep learning approach in identifying
impurity of water consisting of macroscopic and microscopic images. The research will require
interviews from water purity experts; and subsequently collecting water samples. These images in
the form of macroscopic and microscopic will form the dataset in which we train and test our
various machine learning algorithm for water impurity detection. In the broader scientific and social
context, our research is not only relevant to individuals in a community, but can also serve as a
tool for local and national governments. The government has the capacity to monitor multiple local
areas to most efficiently allocate resources, thus allowing for more streamlined environmental
support.

Abstract. This research paper is written to analyze the effectiveness of mobile apps as a multimedia
teaching and learning aid to assist educators to facilitate the learning process. This innovation
procedure is to help educators to leverage learning through the usage of mobile apps in the
classroom and beyond. Specifically developed using MIT App Inventor software, which consists of
lecture notes and quizzes, to aid the students for DCB2062 (Electrical Service 1) course taught in
the Malaysian Polytechnics. The effectiveness of the teaching and learning aid is evaluated by
comparing the reports compiled from the quiz and test given for two semesters. A survey was also
conducted to show the effectiveness of implementing this teaching and learning app. Findings
show that in the groups that are taught using the learning aid are more interested in the learning
process as compared to the previous semester which was not provided with the learning aid. An
increase overall performance increase shows the effectiveness of the mobile apps.

Abstract. The objective of this paper to evaluate the framework’s suitability,
efficiency, satisfaction, adaptability and safety for tourism information. The usability
evaluation method includes the usability attributes of framework in tourism
information phenomena’s such as information source, information development,
information gathering, information collection and information assessment. The usability
evaluation has been conducted using the expert review methodology to gather for
recommendations and improvements of the developed framework. The framework expert review
comprises of five evaluation components which are the expert selection criteria, expert
selection, issue familiarization of experts, collection of responses and result reporting.
Furthermore, we also analysis the usability of the framework based on the experts score for each
area for the assessments. We have used the polar chart to show the overall
usability measurement of the framework and the results has been discussed. The
identified usability issues been addressed accordingly to ensure the developed framework is
useful for tourism information environments in producing accurate tourism information.

Abstract. The utility organization has already implemented some of security framework and
compliance in their data center to secure the data centers of valuable information. However, the
implementation of security framework and compliance, still has several issues relates to some
restricted areas. There is no effective security framework and compliance, being implemented in
their data center such as access control management system at the entrance of the building zone.
Therefore, the objective of this research is to develop information security compliance framework
in data center in utility company. This research applied qualitative method namely semistructured
interviews for data collection. The contribution of this research will help professionals and security
management organizations to understand the best ways they can be used to improve physical
security within the context of information security compliance frameworks that play an important
role.

Abstract. Al-Quran merupakan kitab suci bagi umat Islam yang digunakan sebagai panduan.
Panduan bukan sahaja diperolehi melalui membaca secara bersahaja tanpa memahami makna
dan mengamalkan isinya malah perlu ditadabbur (direnung). Namun pengamalan membaca Al-
Quran beserta tadabbur amat kurang dititikberatkan pada masyarakat. Negara kini dibelenggu
krisis keruntuhan moral dan isu sosial dalam kalangan masyarakat khususnya golongan muda.
Umat Islam tidak mampu untuk memahami, mengaitkan dan mengaplikasikan ilmu Al-Quran
dalam kehidupan seharian. Maka, kajian ini bertujuan untuk menyoroti kajian-kajian lepas
berkaitan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) atau realiti luasan sebagai satu usaha untuk
memperkenalkan teknologi ini kepada para pembaca dan penyelidik. Di samping itu, penyelidik
memfokuskan peranan teknologi realiti luasan dalam bidang pendidikan amnya dan khususnya
dalam pembelajaran tadabbur Quran dengan menghurai kelebihan dan potensi yang terdapat
dalam penggunaan teknologi ini. Oleh itu, untuk memahami bagaimana AR boleh membantu
dalam pemahaman pembelajaran tadabbur Al-Quran, kertas kerja ini akan melaporkan sorotan
kajian lepas mengenai maklumat tentang AR dan bagaimana ia digunakan serta potensinya dalam

Abstract. Augmented Reality (AR) is one of the newest technologies explored in education,
promises the potential to promote teaching and learning and making learners' experience more
"engaging". Innovations in Islamic educational materials and learning approach should be
enhanced so that learners are able to learn better. In this paper, we describe the importance of AR
in education, tadabbur approach, related research for augmented book, learning principles to
promote learning using AR book technology and the potential use of AR book technology in
understanding tadabbur Quran. We also explain a model of AR book's affordances work with other
factors in shaping a meaningful learning process.

Abstract. Pandemik Covid-19 memberi implikasi yang besar kepada kehidupan manusia di seluruh
dunia dalam menjalani urusan seharian. Norma baharu harus dilalui dan ia turut melibatkan
bidang pendidikan tinggi. Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP) yang antaranya tidak membenarkan
sesi pembelajaran dijalankan secara bersemuka menyebabkan institusi pengajian tinggi
mengambil langkah menjalankan pembelajaran secara dalam talian (online). Bagi kebanyakan
kursus, ia memberi kesan kepada pensyarah dan pelajar memandangkan perjumpaan melalui
kaedah maya tidak selancar seperti yang dilakukan secara bersemuka. Kadangkala berlaku
gangguan pada capaian internet dan perkakasan yang digunakan. Interaksi melalui video
walaupun boleh dilakukan secara langsung tidak dapat menerangkan semua persoalan dengan
jelas. Terdapat cadangan agar bahan pembelajaran disediakan secara rakaman dengan medium
seperti Google Classroom dan Telegram bagi membolehkan pelajar mengikuti sesi mengikut masa
yang sesuai. Mengikut beberapa laporan, Malaysia dianggap belum bersedia untuk menawarkan
sistem pembelajaran secara dalam talian sepenuhnya atas beberapa faktor. Bagi bidang
multimedia, ia dirasakan lebih sukar memandangkan pelajar harus menjalankan aktiviti atau
tugasan yang bersifat teknikal dan praktikal. Proses merekabentuk memerlukan kepada
konsultasi berterusan untuk mencapai objektif kursus. Kajian ini dijalankan dalam tempoh
Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP) di Kolej Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Selangor
(KUIS). Responden terdiri daripada pelajar program sarjana muda Pendidikan dengan Multimedia,
Usuluddin dengan Multimedia, Bahasa Arab dengan Multimedia dan program Multimedia Kreatif
yang mengambil kursus Rekabentuk Grafik dalam silibus mereka. Pelajar diberi penyataan
berkaitan bahan pembelajaran, kaedah pembelajaran dan kelengkapan pembelajaran yang
mencakupi aspek perisian, perkakasan dan capaian internet. Data yang diperolehi dianalisis untuk
mengenalpasti persepsi pelajar terhadap perjalanan sesi pembelajaran kursus Rekabentuk
Grafik. Ini bagi memastikan sesi pembelajaran secara dalam talian ini dapat dilakukan secara
praktis dan efektif.

Abstract. The study aims to analyze the usability and user experience of users that have used
Sekolah Pengaturcaraan (School of Programming) mobile learning. Sekolah Pengaturcaraan has
been developed using the Android platform. This application provides a new learning medium via
mobile platform to deliver content about learning HTML for FSTM students. This is a quantitative
research and questionnaire has been used as the research instrument. The questionnaire being
used was taken from the previous study with a minor modification. The selection of study
respondents based on voluntary methods and a total of 57 data was successfully collected.
Through descriptive analysis, it is discovered that the users were very satisfied with the usability
and user experience of the application. This can be seen as the mean score for all questionnaire
items are at a high level. As a conclusion, the use of mobile application in learning HTML through
Sekolah Pengaturcaraan mobile learning can help in increasing students’ interest and motivation
towards learning programming much faster and easier, yet interesting and interactive.

Abstract. Nowadays, mobile users are spending lots of time communicating, browsing the Internet,
performing online banking, purchasing etc. As such, the mobile devices are storing countless
amount of confidential data such as personal email address inboxes, bank accounts, social media
accounts and other sensitive information. Thus, it is vital to protect data on the smartphones. The
traditional protection is by using a textual password as a common part of the authentication
process. By using this traditional authentication system in protecting users’ data would lead to a
compromised data security. The use of easily guessed password would lead to an easy attempt to
break it whereas if the password is hard to guess, then it is often difficult to memorize. To address
this problem, this project proposes a new approach of mobile authentication system, which is the
graphical scheme of authentication based on images. The mobile application consists of the series
of images that form an authentication system (image selection and click-based). The application
is very useful for users who requires authentication application for their mobile users. The design
and development of the application follows the Rapid Application Development (RAD)
methodology. The content analysis method is used to gather the requirements of the application.
The prototype of Mobile Image Authentication (MIA) was developed based on the requirements
that have been gathered. A usability evaluation has been conducted to evaluate the usefulness of
the prototype. The result of the evaluation shows that MIA application is useful, easy to use and
secure. Overall, the respondents are satisfied with the functions performed by the MIA application.

Abstract. Usaha Kementerian Pendidikan Tinggi (KPT) dalam mengawal penularan wabak
pandemik coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) telah merubah lanskap pendidikan Malaysia daripada
pembelajaran secara bersemuka kepada pembelajaran dalam talian. Situasi ini telah memberi
satu cabaran yang baharu kepada pensyarah dan mahasiswa. Kertas kerja ini membentangkan
hasil kajian yang diperolehi melalui kajian tinjauan dikalangan mahasiswa IPT/IPTA yang
mempunyai isu dan cabaran terhadap penggunaan teknologi, kemudahan fasiliti, pengurusan
masa dan kemampuan untuk belajar pengaturcaraan komputer dalam talian. Statistik deskriptif
digunakan untuk melihat analisis min dan sisihan piawaian. Hasil kajian selidik ini akan di analisa
dengan menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 21.0. Hasil dapatan kajian akan digunakan sebagai
rujukan dan penambahbaikan proses pengajaran dan pembelajaran dalam talian.

bidang pendidikan dimana pelajar dan guru dapat melihat secara realiti sesuatu objek ataupun
dari perspektif dunia nyata iaitu dalam bentuk 3 Dimensi. Objektif kajian ini adalah bagi
menyatakan analisis rekabentuk Augmented Reality bagi pembelajaran Komponen Sistem Unit
Komputer. Prototaip ini dibangunkan berasaskan kaedah ADDIE model dan menggunakan Unity
3D, Vuforia dan Blender sebagai platform utama. Kertas kerja ini dibahagikan kepada lima
bahagian iaitu: Pengenalan, Kajian literatur, Fasa Reka Bentuk dan Kesimpulan. Hasil ini akan
dibawa kepada penyelidikan seterusnya iaitu untuk pembangunan aplikasi dan seterusnya
menguji keberkesanan aplikasi yang dibangunkan kepada pengguna. Dengan terhasilnya aplikasi
Augmented Reality Komponen Sistem Unit Komputer ini diharap dapat membantu memudahkan

Abstract. Virtual Reality or VR has unique advantage of being able to provide an immersive
experience to users whilst giving a different experience. Being immersed in learning motivates
people to fully understand it regarding of what the person is learning. Umrah is a pilgrimage that is
quite confusing to understand for young person who is not yet performing it. Interactive umrah is
about experiencing Umrah in mobile application with mobile virtual reality technology. The main
goal of this project is to develop a mobile virtual reality application using Unity 3D. To develop this
project, the ADDIE method really helps to organize and ease the developing processes. It is hoped
this study will attract teenagers to learn in unique and interesting way while increase the use of
mobile VR technology in travelling agencies, companies and possibly made the learning
environment more convenient.

Abstract. Digital Forensics Lab (DFL) in Malaysian Armed Forces (MAF) has been in operation since
2018, providing digital forensic services. The lab is still in its maturing phase where the people and
the process are still adjusting to the day to day operation. With the ease of the procured digital
forensics tools, the analyst used explorative method to understand the tools’ function, operations
and has been following basic procedures and guideline given by Scientific Working Group on Digital
Evidence (SWGDE). Thus, the purpose of this study is to propose an enhanced digital forensic
process for DFL. The need for a comprehensive process is to ease the operation inside DFL
whereby the current process can be organized into groups so that it is easily followed and
implemented. To do so, a pilot study has been done through the literature review where numerous
processes were studied, and their phases were compared to find the gap process. Two main
elements, that are the legal and environmental factors should be taken into consideration when
proposing a process. Further, there is no proper evidence handling steps in each of the existing
digital forensic phase followed by DFL. To gather more data, mix method was chosen where
qualitative data (from the interview, observation and documentary analysis were performed) and
quantitative data (from questionnaires) were collected. Analysis of the data collected aided in the
formation of the newly enhanced digital forensic process for the DFL. The enhanced process
benefits the personnel in DFL to follow the digital forensic steps and use it as the main reference
in their daily operation. The enhanced process also can be referred by any government or private
sectors that have a dedicated digital forensic laboratory on their own. This is because even though
the enhanced process is developed based on the MAF management requirement, the steps of
each phase can be used and adapted to other agencies as well. The process suits the daily
operation in the army environment, therefore the proposed model is expected to be practical,
precise and easily followed by the current personnel and novices.

Abstract. Malaysian Cardiovascular Risk Diagnose (MCRD) mobile apps development under
android shall provides diagnosis and guidelines on reducing disability and premature deaths from
coronary heart disease, cerebrovascular disease and peripheral vascular disease in people at high
risk, who have not yet experienced a cardiovascular event. People with established cardiovascular
disease are at very high risk of recurrent events and are not the subject of the diagnosis and
guidelines in the mobile apps. The diagnosis and guidelines aim on prevention of cardiovascular
disease that takes into account the particular health, age, gender, ethnic group, smoking, diabetic,
Body Mass Index (BMI) and hypertension factors. The data collected from National Cardiovascular
Disease Database. The MCRD mobile apps will be contributing to Smart Selangor aspirations that
are to enhance quality of life for Selangor communities so that together they shall be able to strive
to reach the vision of Selangor that is to become a “smart state” by 2025.

Abstract. This paper summarizes the differences of component roles between three Augmented
Reality frameworks. The framework are ARTiFICe : Augmented Reality Framework for Distributed
Collaboration, DWARF : Distributed Wearable Augmented Reality Framework and VARU
Framework: Enabling Rapid Prototyping of VR, AR and Ubiquitous Applications Components of
Frameworks. Possibility the combination of suitable components from these three frameworks that
can help development of Augmented Reality Application.
