Abu Dhabi Sailing and Yacht Club – Abu Dhabi
The ITU World Triathlon Series is the most exciting triathlon event in
the world, bringing together 65 of the fastest male and female elite
athletes in a race on a spectator-friendly course on the scenic Abu
Dhabi Corniche.
Athletes of varying age groups compete at the same venue over three
distinct race distances: Sprint, Olympic and Maxi. Young triathletes
get their chance over the weekend with the Junior Aquathlon,
tailored for athletes as young as 5 years old.
The event is geared for large crowds as it features a large grandstand
with the capacity of seating 2000 visitors.

Abu Dhabi International Marine Sports Club will host the UAE Wooden
Powerboat Championship. The event showcases the crossroads of the
UAE’s sporting prowess and its centuries-old marine traditions, attracting
a powerful assembly of challengers from across the Emirates and other
GCC countries.
Rapidly growing in popularity, the championship sets a competitive stage
for the 28-foot wooden powerboats known in Arabic as ‘Al Shawaheef’.
Built from wood and modern composites, the boats are piloted by one
or two drivers in races that create a fascinating connection between the
past and present.
