Zayed National Museum, will be the pre-eminent national museum
in the United Arab Emirates. It will tell the story of the development
of the country through the life and achievements of the late Sheikh
Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Founding Father of the UAE.
The museum will hold in trust for the nation a collection of
art and artefacts from ancient and living cultures of the UAE,
Arabia, and the wider Middle East. It will become a home as
well as a research centre for the exploration and affirmation of
the essentials of Emirati identity and allow the UAE’s diverse
population an opportunity to celebrate its cultural inheritance.
Multaqa Zayed National Museum will be a platform for discussion
and debate about the new museum. It will be a forum for people
