STROKES N AND HOOK N: SHUN HOOK In this chapter, students will learn the application of stroke N, N Hook and Shun hook. There are two ways of representing the sound N, the stroke N and the hook N. Once again it will be found that the indication of vowels is the main reason for using one instead of the other. The hook is only used when N is the last sound in a word. STROKES N Stroke N is thin and shallow, a scooped-out curve: A.
