INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIOING

1.1 COMPRESSED AIR CONNECTION -
PAWAN BANDH PC31 Splicer requires dust, oil & moisture free air supply at 4 - 6 bar air pressure. Connect
Splicer through Filter Regulator unit using 6 mm X 8 mm PU pipe.

Picture 1.12 Picture 1.14

* Note-

> Set air pressure to suit yarn size & type.
> Ensure sufficient air suppy pipe size to maintain required air pressure during continous operation.
> Drop in pressure during operation can hamper splice quality.

TROUBLESHOOTING / SETTING

1.5 Setting & Troubleshooting - Causes Acon

Splicing Defect I> Insufficent air pressure I> Adjust air pressure as per requirement
II> Insufficient blast duration II> Press trigger little longer
1. Splicing Failure or Splice Strength Low III> Damaged splicing chamber III> Remove check & replace
IV> Tail ends too short IV> Adjust tail end length setting
2. Loose Fibers at Splice Sides V> Rubber pad damaged V> Remove, check & repalce
I> Damaged splicing chamber I> Remove, check & replace
3. Protruding yarn II> Damaged rubber pad II> Remove, check & replace
III> Short Tail ends III> Adjust tail end length setting
IV> High Blast Time IV> Reduce Trigger time
V> Faulty Frictoner V> Remove, check & replace

I> Excessive length of yarn ends I> Decrease yarn length

4. Yarn ends are spread / forced out of I> Mingling Chamber too large reatively to I> Replace it
chamber size & quality of yarn II> Overlap yarn or increase length of ends

5. Yarn cutter is not working II> Tail ends are too short

6. Improper Splicing I> The cutters are worn out I> Replace cutter assembly

II> Improper tension II> Adjust cutter tension

I> Wrong Splicing Chamber selection I> Take trials with various options

II> Send yarn splicer for trials &
recommendation

MAINTENANCE

After continuous use, splicer effciency may be reduced due to clogging of holes and leakages arriving from
various parts of splicer (chamber, worn out rubber pad, blunt cutter). Clogging of injection holes can be caused
by dust/dirt from piping system. Wearing of parts of thread passage can be caused by abrasion.

2.1 MAINTENANCE TOOLS -
Flat screw driver
Allen key 2.5, 5 mm
Fix Spanner 8-9, 12-13mm
Loctite (grade 242)
Grease
