1 I. BEDJAN PROGRAMS AND WEB V.1 I.1. Overview of the Bedjan V.1 application. Bedjan V.1 application. is an application belonging to the Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang (Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnic), which in this case is under the supervision of the Students and alumni subdivision, as well as the Information Technology Unit. This application is in accordance with the main duties and functions of the Students Administration and Alumni Sub unit, namely managing practices “ Praktek Laut (PRALA) and Praktek Darat (PRADA) or in English it is also called PRALA as “On Board Training (OBT)” and PRADA as “Internship”, in which there is a web “ Bedjaners internship report.” This application is made as an application for reporting the work practices of cadets in English which also contains learning materials: Senior Speech, Preparation for carrying out Internships (On Board Training and Internship), Tips and Interviews needed before and during the internship, and this application is used as a means of training for the development of English language skills in making English language reports. Users of this application are OBT and Internship ready cadets in semesters IV, V, VI of the Deck, Engine, and Port and Shipping Study Program. I.2. Purpose and Benefits of Application The specific achievements expected in the learning contained on this website are as follows: I.2.1. Increasing the student knowledge about the basic concepts of preparation for implementing “On Board Training and Internship” with fun, easy and communicative learning media. I.2.2. Increasing the student knowledge about reporting in the implementation of effective On Board Training and Internship. I.2.3. Improving the ability to speak English in reporting the work practices of PIP Semarang’s Cadet. I.3. The Program Web Online contained in the Bedjan V.1 application is assignment-based learning, by filling in a form / chat form which contains data, photos that are activated by their location,
2 video reports in English, and attachments. Taruna sends the Apprenticeship Practice Report in English to the Supervisor, provided that: Report on Marine Practices (PRALA) / On Board Training (OBT) and Land Practices (PRADA) / Internship, English not allowed to read, Wearing Daily Service / Work Practices, Videos 3 to 5 minutes long, namely by stating: 1. Greeting, 2.Opening, by stating the Name, NIT, Company / Practice Location, how many reports, 3. Content: The Practice Description contains: ➢ Main duties and responsibilities. ➢ Aspects of developing Knowledge, Skills, and Personality ➢ What obstacles, and how to overcome them in the last one month. 4. Learning Plans and Technical Implementation of Activities Learning Materials are conversational materials used for activities related to the implementation of Work Practices (On Board Training) and Land Practices (Internship). I.4.1. Pre-Test; English Test, Spoken Reporting. The English Test consists of 32 items in 13 video materials. Each video material contains 3 questions. Spoken Reporting, is a video recording of reporting in English. I.4.2. 4 6 sd 17 Making Report/ Post Test Doing the Test and Sending Report, Note: Green: Can be learnt by all Study Programs; Deck (N), Engineering (E), and Port and Shipping Department (P). Blue is for Deck. Purple is for Engineering. Yellow is for Port and Shipping. Each study program is required to study all material, but for making reporting is only according to each study program. I.4.3. POST TEST: English Test and Spoken Reporting. The English Test consists of 32 items in 12 video materials. Each video material contains 3 questions. Spoken Report is a video recording of reporting the 1st to 12 report of the On Board Training (OBT) and Internship in English. II. INSTRUCTIONS TO USE THE BEDJAN REPORT V.1 II.1. How to open the application / web. The application and website can be easily used when the student open using the Bedjan Report V.1 application. Download the application using a laptop / device (Android), data using 2 (two) ways: Scan the Barcode using the QR Reader application, as can be seen on the screen : or, 2.Click on the button: Bedjaners V.1 (Black Button) after installing, a web icon will appear as below:
6 So that it will be easier to open the application anywhere and anytime, it will be more flexible to use by using an Android device, as can be seen below: II.3. Steps for Using the Menu in the Application The next step is to press a button on the application, with a display as shown on the following device screen: II.3.1. On Laptops / Personal Computers.
7 II.3.2. On Devices / Android. 6 (Six) buttons will appear, namely: Guidance, Video Gallery for Models, Post Test, E-Module, Report, Spoken Report. There are several menu options on the website, namely: Guidance, E_Module, Video Gallery for Models, Report, Post Test. Choose which menu you want to do by clicking the desired button. A. Knowing the Application Usage Guidelines. Click the Guidance menu, it will contain a guideline for using this application.
8 B. Studying video material Click the E-Module menu, there is material that can be learned in this application. Click the Video Gallery for Models menu, there are 12 video sub menus with material according to the title of each video, then some of the following video material will appear on the screen: Choose which video you want, then watch and learn, and learn E-Module. 1. 15 II.3.3. Opening Reports Click on the report, you can see some of the name list, and choose your name button, then finally open the data. For example; After opening the data, there are google form list darta, and can be open by clicking on the items to check the report: A. Opening Photos Click on the data on Google form document and a photo using the Time Stamp / GPS Coord Camera application will appear, then download if you want to download. You can automatically find the cadet’s photos identity as name of file with File format: Full name, NIT, Report to, Photo, Position, for example: Marcelino_NIT5489999_Report1_Foto_Pontianak. B. Opening Video B.1. Opening Video Files. Click on the data on Google form document and a video camera record data is a duration of 3 to 5 minutes, and save it in the mp4 file format, a maximum of 1 GB. Upload large files (videos, etc.) and take advantage of links / links with online storage media (cloud storage) such as Google Drive, Dropbox, One Drive, etc., or video links with Youtube to store data in max
16 1GB size. You can automatically find the cadet’s photos identity as name of file with File format: Full Name, NIT, Report to, Position, for example: Marcelino_NIT5489999_Report1_Foto_Pontianak. B.2. Opening Speaking Transcript Click on the data on Google form document and a file, then download if you want to download. (Video report material in written format), File Format: .doc, 1 Mb. You can automatically find the cadet’s transcript identity as name of file with File format: Full name, NIT, Report to, Position. For example: Marcelino_NIT5489999_Report1_Transcript_ C. Opening Attachments Click on the data on Google form document and a file, then download if you want to download, such as a letter, File: 10 Mb, if not available, please attach a blank form. Save with File format: Full name, NIT, Report to, attachment to, for example: Marcelinus_NIT5489999_Report1, lamp1. Click the link on the Report menu, fill in the link that contains the existing Google Form and upload the requested attachment. II.3.4 Opening the Post-Test Result After cadet have studied the E-Module and Video material, this test can be opened when cadet have uploaded 2 (two) reports to your advisor. A.1. Opening your email, you can find the English Post test result. A.2. Check the Post Test results carefully and correctly.
