✓ All games are 7-a-side and played according to the guidelines set
out by FAPPS committee. Thus, a friendly and “non-competitive”
approach is promoted, although we do encourage every team to
play to compete.

✓ All games are 10 minutes - one way, with a 5 minute change
between games. The team mentioned first on the fixture list, will
start with the ball first. No results will be recorded.

✓ Games will start at the sound of the siren. The game will begin even
if all teams are not on the field and ready to play.

Friday 3 June

✓ The sounding of the siren will indicate to the referee to end the
game. The referee may allow a shot on goal to be completed if it
is an immediate action - not just continued or extended play. A
player may thus not pick up or handle the ball when he hears the
siren; they must wait for the referee to blow for the end of the
game. A penalty that has already been awarded will still be taken.

✓ Coaching from spectators behind/around the goals is not allowed.
All spectators should keep away from the goals and the goal line
during the games.

✓ The under 7 and 8 age groups may have one running coach per
team to direct and control during the game.

✓ All Netball games will be played according to the rules set by Netball South
Africa. Each school is required to send one umpire per team.

✓ The designated umpire will umpire for their own team for the duration of the
Festival.

✓ All games are 10 minutes - one way, with a 5 minute change between games.
✓ The sounding of the siren will indicate to the umpire to start or end the game.

Each court’s game will be started and ended by the umpire on the court
✓ The under 7 and 8 age groups may have one running coach per team to direct

and control during the game.
