As a premium supplier of Emergency Drench Showers, Eye washes and ASSE 1071 Mixing valves, safety is always
at the mind of our team. You can put product in to meet the minimum standards, or do the right things and add
levels of support to your facility.

Simply installing emergency equipment is not sufficient to assure worker safety. Employees must be trained in the
location of emergency equipment and in its proper use. Emergency equipment must be regularly maintained (includ-
ing weekly activation of the equipment) to assure that it is in working order and inspected at least annually for
compliance with the standard. Most importantly, employers should develop a response plan to be used in the event
that an accident does occur. The focus of the response plan should be to provide assistance to the injured worker as
quickly as possible.

Guardian offers a variety of alarm systems that may be installed in conjunction with our emergency equipment.
They serve to alert personnel and summon assistance if an eyewash or shower is activated.
WE RECOMMEND INSTALLING AN ALARM UNIT WITH ANY EMERGENCY EYEWASH OR SHOWER UNIT

These units can be paired with almost all the Guardian Drench shower and eye wash products
when new and/or as a retrofit.
KEY OPERATION:
• Switch senses flow of water when either the eye/face wash or shower is activated.
• Strobe light activates and alarm horn sounds loudly when eyewash or shower is activated.
• Double throw waterproof flow switch for installation in water supply line to emergency unit.
• Double pole, double throw flow switch for connection to monitoring system also available. When emergency
unit is actuated, light and horn activate and electrical signal is sent to remote monitoring location.
