Introducing the PSIM MESCON 2023 icon, an artistic symbol of harmony and oneness. Two hands gracefully join, one painted in different shades of yellow and the other of blue, creating a connection that has no bounds. A captivating arrangement of polygons is used to create each hand individually, representing the diversity and boldness of the event. The combination of vibrant colors and geometric shapes represents the union of creativity and accuracy, highlighting the perfect outcome when various components come together in perfect harmony. This logo celebrates the ability of art and creativity to bring mechanical engineering students together while embodying the spirit of collaboration, cooperation, and understanding. SEPTEMBER 27, 2023 PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTER PASAY CITY, METRO MANILA
My warmest greetings to all! As the Co-Chairperson of PSIM National Mechanical Engineering Students' Conference (MESCON) 2023, I wholeheartedly extend my profound gratitude to the Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal, Inc. (PSIM), Laguna State Polytechnic University (LSPU), sponsors, partner schools, advisers, and students across the country. It is indeed a great honor, a favor, a gift nurtured and enriched by the guidance and support of those who paved the way in our academic community. This valuable asset, my esteemed fellow Mechanical Engineering students, holds immense significance! The multitude of experiences we've shared resemble precious treasures, adding depth to our character through exceptional competitions. The shared stories have imparted valuable lessons. The echoes of laughter and tears continue to resonate, reminding us the genuine emotions we've experienced together. A vast array of opportunities ahead, nurturing the potential of aspiring mechanical engineers for the future. In the theater of life, we experienced a gamut of emotions—from amusement and heartbreak to joy and sobs. It was a mix of excitement and routine, both invigorating and frightening. The unexpected left us in awe and sometimes perplexed, occasionally leading to frustration, yet undeniably beautiful. Despite these mixed feelings, there were moments when we quietly whispered, "I wish this show could go on forever." The journey in the field of engineering was undeniably challenging, yet your remarkable resilience stood out in the face of formidable obstacles. Despite the difficulties, I urge you to remain steadfast and resolute, for surrendering is not the path to triumph. I know, and I could feel it, and it’s inspiring to witness how numerous hurdles and competing priorities did not deter our commitment to leading and caring for PSIM. Greetings in the name of Student Service! Anticipation and excitement were cultivated as we came together to honor and celebrate the PSIM National Mechanical Engineering Students' Conference (MESCON) 2023 and the PSIM Annual National Convention. These events symbolize our indispensable role in shaping the landscape of mechanical engineering in our country. The much-awaited return of this convention in the new normal brings great excitement, and I am thrilled to be part of it, despite the challenges our society faces. As we unite to share knowledge and expertise, it serves as a powerful reminder of the immense potential that lies within collaboration and innovation to drive positive change. With the theme "The Cradle for the Advancement of Mechanical Engineering Profession through Shared Resources and Expertise", perfectly encapsulates and embodies our profession. As visionary leaders, we are entrusted with driving innovation and sustainability in our field. As the Chairperson of the PSIM STUDENT UNIT 2022-2023, entrusted with voicing students' perspectives, I have had the privilege of collaborating with a dedicated and enthusiastic group of professionals and aspiring engineers. Throughout our journey, facing challenges and celebrating victories, we have consistently motivated and influenced one another, leaving a profound and enduring impact on the field of mechanical engineering. Let us persist in our enthusiastic collaboration and unwavering passion, working hand in hand towards a sustainable and progressive future for mechanical engineering. Together, we possess the potential to create a positive impact that will echo through the generations. Here's to more fruitful and inspiring milestones in 2024 and beyond!" KYLA JANE F. EVENTS ME Talino National Quiz Bee Competition aims to provide an engaging and educational experience for ME Students by testing their knowledge and understanding of Mechanical Engineering theories and concepts. TransforME: Clash of Bots is a robot (or a crawler) combat competition in which competitors design and build a powerful remote-controlled robot. The MESCON Chess Tournament aims for ME students to be active and competitive in terms of visual and spatial analysis. The Machine Design Competition aims to foster participants’ creativity by encouraging them to think outside the box and come up with innovative solutions. The aim of the Poster Making Competition is not just to judge the students based on their creative aspects but also to trigger thought process. PSIM SRC2023 invites presentation and optional further publishing of original, previously unpublished, research, papers, plus case studies on both applied and theoretical aspects of Mechanical Engineering done by mechanical engineering students and fresh graduates. The CAD Challenge is intended to test Mechanical Engineering students designing skills along with their comprehension of viewpoint and assembly drawings in a live competition applying the AutoCAD design software tool. The Amateur Photography Contest showcase their creativity and unique perspectives in a week-long event. The On-the-Spot Photography Contest is a fast-paced competition that tests photographers' ability to think quickly, adapt to their surroundings, and capture stunning images in real-time.
