management are business critical for all
our customers.

Yet as every budget manager knows, the actual cost
of cleaning products and materials typically accounts
for around 5% of the workplace cleaning budget.
Labour takes the lion’s share, at approximately 75%.

Achieving greater labour efficiency is a far more
effective route to reducing costs than product savings
alone. Combine more efficient products with new
technologies and updated equipment and approaches
- and your team can achieve the same if not better
results, in less time.

With time spent on individual cleaning tasks reduced,
you regain greater mobility and coverage from your
staff – without compromising on performance, quality
and consistency.

Workplace Innovation Expert 2: 9
Workplace analysis & assessment

An expert eye on products, processes and performance

Our second level Workplace Innovation programme began life as a hospital hygiene
assessment tool and now forms the backbone of a thorough and detailed study of
cleanliness and hygiene in workplace environments.

The Level 2 assessment includes the level 1 cost/efficiency review with the added benefit
of an onsite assessment. The programme involves a three-step process – and if you really
want to reduce costs, this is the one for you:

Step 1. It’s all about you: First we need to understand your objectives. What are
your needs, goals and resources and how do you measure success? Armed with that
information, our Customer Insight Team conducts a thorough on-site review across
all key or agreed areas of expertise for your workplace.

Step 2. Detailed Analysis and Reporting: Following our on-site assessment,
our Customer Insight and Customer Solutions teams analyse and document findings
to reveal key insights, with evidence-based recommendations on areas for action
and/or development.

Step 3. Implementation: We provide the necessary level of follow-up, support and
training, to help fast-track recommendations into your working practices and help
resolve any issues that may have been highlighted in operation.

What our Customers say about us:

“I really like Arrow’s investigative approach. Their team is really knowledgeable
and I trust their advice when it comes to making the right choices.

They recently helped us rethink the way we manage paper in our public
washrooms and as a result, we have moved away from flat leaved to roll based,

which has greatly improved the appearance and quality perceptions of the
facilities, while at the same time reducing ongoing running costs.”
Jasmine Wilson, Cleaning Services Manager
Ceredigion County Council

“I see Arrow as an expert distributor, not just a supplier.
I was attracted to Arrow from the start as they don’t have

to go outside the organisation to get things done.
They are faster, more nimble and quicker off the mark

to do things compared to larger organisations.”
