Help Desk Technicians are vital to the IT workforce, as they keep the technologies that
organizations rely on to do business up-to-date and running smoothly.

IT Help Desk Technicians provide technical support and troubleshooting services to end-
users who need assistance with their computer hardware or software.

There are two chief types of help desk technician:
In-house and Remote. Remote help desk technicians support
technology customers via phone, online and occasionally on-site.
In-house technicians only provide support for internal employees.

HD101 - Microsoft Office 365
Students will learn how to become more innovative with cloud-based tools,
regardless of the device they use. They will learn to use basic features of Office
365 including Microsoft Teams, OneNote, Sway, Microsoft Forms, Office Online
and OneDrive (No Prerequisite)

HD102 - CompTIA IT Fundamentals
Students will learn the skills to set up and use a computer at home securely and
keep it in good working order, provide informal support for PCs and simple
computer networks to your colleagues in a small business, and prepare to study
for the CompTIA A+ certification in PC support skills or other advanced IT
education programs (No Prerequisite)

HD103 - CompTIA A+ 2019
Students will learn how to configure device operating systems, including
windows, mac, LINUX, chrome OS, android and IOS and administer client-based
as well as cloud-based (SaaS) software, troubleshoot and problem solve core
service and support challenges while applying best practices for documentation,
change management, and scripting support basic IT infrastructure and
networking, and how to implement basic data backup and recovery methods
and apply data storage and management best practices (No Prerequisite)

HD104 - CompTIA Network+
Students will learn how to design and implement functional networks,
configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices, use devices such as
switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks,
implement network security, standards, and protocols, and how to troubleshoot
network problems (No Prerequisite)
