70 Welcome to Country Welcome to the traditional lands and waters of our Far West Coast Aboriginal Peoples. We, the Kokatha, Mirning and Wirangu are the Traditional Owners. We have a spiritual connection and long history to this country. We recognise in our history the Koonibba and Yalata Peoples. We ask you to acknowledge and respect our beliefs, our continuing practices, care and management of our land and waters and the need to protect and preserve our cultural heritage. We pay our respects to our Elders, past and present and to our future generations. You are welcome. Acknowledgement of Country Before we begin today, I/we acknowledge that we are meeting on the land of the Far West Coast Aboriginal Peoples; the Traditional Owners and custodians. I/We respect their Elders past and present. I/We respect their history, culture and ancient knowledge and I/we acknowledge that their beliefs and practices are as relevant today to the living Far West Coast Aboriginal Peoples.
