Our Head Teacher
Dear Parents and Carers,
Welcome to the second Newsletter of session 2017/2018. The first
term has passed in a flash and we are all really busy planning all
the exciting events and learning experience for Term 2. Here is an
update on what’s happening at Whitehirst Park this term.
I would once again like to extend my thanks to the staff, pupils
and parents for supporting Whitehirst Park on it’s journey to
excellence! We are well on our way, thanks to you all!
Excellence is doing ordinary things extraordinarily well.
John W. Gardner
Kind regards,
Lynn Robertson
Staffing Update
We have waved farewell to Mrs Martin as she heads for
her Maternity Leave. We are looking forward to meeting
her new arrival in the very near future!
We are also saying Goodbye to Mrs Dickinson as she
embarks on her retirement. Mrs Dickinson will be missed
and we wish her all the very best for the future.
Mrs Davidson will be taking up the permanent Depute
Head Teacher, Miss Johnstone will be Acting Depute Head
and XXX will be Acting Principal Teacher. We wish them
the very best in their new roles
Just a reminder that School nurses will
be in the school on 21st November to
administer the flu vaccine. Should you
require further information the school
nurse, Charrone Hodge, can be
contacted on 01294 551316.
Most families with nursery and school age
children will suffer from head lice at some time.
I would therefore urge all parents to be
consistently vigilant in checking their
child(ren)’s hair and follow the recommended
procedures for dealing with this.
For further advice please contact the school
nurse on 551316.
P1 Buddies!
