Macmillan Coffee Morning
We would like to thank everyone who took part in the recent Macmillan Coffee Morning including Head Office and
our sites at Islington, Orpington and Pyramid Plus London who joined in A2Dominion’s Coffee Morning in Ealing.
Orpington Office – Pauline Read – Resident Liaison Administrator said, “It looked like it was going to be a wash
out due to the rain but by the time the coffee morning started the sun had broken through and it was a lovely
morning. The spread of cakes was very impressive and were all homemade and very delicious. It was a good
turnout with a lot of our neighbours and subcontractors popping in and enjoying a slice of cake and a coffee”.
Orpington Girls! Islington Krew! Winner of HO Bake-Off – Lesley Ann Coombes
Islington Office – Saifur Jaman – Resident Liaison Officer said, “We held our MacMillan Coffee Morning at the
Andover Site. The team working on Islington made a huge effort and donated lots of lovely cakes. Over 50
Residents attended and Islington staff including Christine Short – Head of Capital Programme, Patrick Correra –
Project Manager and Damian Dempsey – Group Leader Quantity Surveyor also showed their support. Thanks to
everyone who made it such a great day”.
Head Office, Romford – We held a special ‘Bake-Off’ which was judged by Anne Dyer – HR Director, Neil Fisher –
Finance Director and Barbara Duck – PA to Tim Breyer. 1st prize was won by Lesley Ann Coombes from our Finance
Department for her ‘Strawberry Surprise’. 2nd prize went to Carol McBurney also in Finance for her ‘Chocolate Cake’
and Cathe Harrison in B-Line won 3rd for her ‘Butterfly Cakes’.
Well done and thank you for getting involved, we raised an amazing £941.10.
